  • All right, I'm writing this just before I take my first bite of this masterpiece. The only difference is that I was out of Capers for the sauce, and I soft boiled my eggs just slightly, so I turned them right side up and put the sauce directly over the Yolk. Plenty of Anchovies though, naturally!

    Looks like a great hangover dish to me, the capers and the anchovies probably makes it a little salty, but that's good, you need salt'n minerals 'cause you lost a lot the night before, right?

    combined with the eggs and a slice of Bread, good stuff...

    maybe an alternative if your tired of deviled eggs?

  • The dish: Simplicity, but a ROCKIN' combination of flavors. They WILL make your mouth light up.

    Surprised that you've never tried anchovies. I love the things. Used WITH caution. They can be overpowering, or they can be THE perfect accent to a dish.

    I guess they're a love/hate thing, though. I've never known anyone who just thinks they're "okay." They either love 'em, or they won't stay in the same room with 'em.

  • Julia DID have a lot to do with my ability/inability to roll out an omelette. I took a long time to do it proper. I haven't shown on cam how I do it in a 8'' pan with gas power! I wish. More than 1/2 of what I know i cant show because of the shitty set-up I have. No baking, no counter, etc. So, this is just for fun, no recipes. Fk it.

    Graham Kerr was the 1st chef I ever watched and liked back in the 60's.

  • first anchovie i ate was on a pizza and i loved them so much ever since. try a SIDE bacon like the maple smoked breakfast bacon and anchovie pizza(none of that crumble fatty bacon) it will blow your mind! :D ive up graded it to SIDE bacon-ANchovie and red bell pepper pizza. even better... the smokey plays off the salty chovies and any veg just makes it even KiLLeR-ER :D I'm so baked.... keep it real... -Magic

    Capers are the bud of some small flower. I didn't research this but they're soft, sort of a tear drop shape and packed in a salty brine. They're good!
