Prior to 95 all hyundai's used Mitsubishi engines and drive train. The 93 Scoupe and X3 Excel both recieved Hyundai's first in house designed engine. That engine is still being used in the Getz and retiring shortly. So with saying that see how many X3 Excel's are still running strong on the road today. Ive got an Excel as a second car and is 300,000km strong with no repairs, just fully maintained.
No Hyundai is meant to last becuase unless they have improved their standards from 1994 where every bloody car thief from NSW nicked a Hyundai every week and ened up totalling it and some died and I heard that a Tiburon had to have its radiator replaced at 60,000km
