@Schizianity If you mean you feel a need or "calling" to live a life of service in some way (in your case the military) that I can understand. I warn you though hard combat will be close to what you expect it to be but the military overall will disappoint you. Individuals who truly believe in honor, integrity, and duty and also live by them are too few and too far between. It is not a brotherhood anymore it just another large bureaucratic organization with all the problems associated with one.
@Schizianity I was in the valley, this is MY company. I take it you have either only been in for a few of slow tours or you are a civilian. Combat in that valley was virtually unrivaled during these wars with only a few of exceptions. I did seven years and and other guys whos had been in longer, to include some dudes who had been in the invasions or fallujah seiges, had never seen anything like this. Statements like yours and the one I commented on are made by the young or ignorant.
