It looks as if the heating of the MacBook Pro would harm the case's material. Plus it kinda makes the MacBook Pro fat and lose the sleek look.

damn i wish it had the little apple logo cut off on the top of the case so the apple logo would show when you use your macbook or macbook pro! btw what material is it? and can it be bought in USA? where?

What about the heat issue? Wouldn't that keep the heat in and damage the machine further?

mine handels the heat fine. Make sure you get one with vents at the back.

to those of you that own this, does your notebook tend to get hot? do you guys just leave it in there all the time? i don't know if i want this macally one, or the speck bookshell....

@everlastingchill i wouldn't get either. the speck one was nice for a while until debris/dust got under and scratched up my body. The macally one left my macbook hot all the time. I think a travel sleeve/case/bag would work out better.
