  • hi, i was wondering you can tell me something? as it look like from my experience. 99% of spinning surf rod, the first guide is really big for the spinning reel and for the baitcast reel, the first guide is mostly start small. is that rod you are holding made for a baitcast reel? but you put a spinning reel on it. correct me if i am wrong. but i have own alot fo surf rods.

  • @LINHTOON Its a spinning rod. The small guides on it are designed for using braid.

  • @Surffish07 actually they are built to reduce line slap thus increasing casting distance

  • The butt cap is a necesity...my mojo used to beat the crap out of me with pencils...

  • Nice review. Any feedback on the 9'ers?

  • I surfcast with St. Croix out in MTK. I think that their Triumph surfcasting series is better than that of the more expensive Legendary surf. Plus its got a rubber butt cap hahahhaha
