@Yasii1 uh... yes. However, you're talking about Sarah Polley who is not only a talented and established performer but also writer, director and (while this isn't really related..) humanitarian. Sara Stanley is SUPPOSED to be quiet and passive during the first season. She pumps up a bit as the series goes on.

@Yasii1 however.. i agree with you in that Megan puts Sarah to shame.. only because Sarah Polley isn't really suited to play the story girl :) She never appeared 100% comfortable in this role.. at least that's the impression i got. She's lovely and she grows on you but.. maybe she could have been cast better. But a very talented performer nonetheless.

@ChenStylish I know who she is and I know what she does but the spirit of Avonlea is only portrayed by Anne Shirley. Not just any Anne, only Megan. Sarah Polley isn't suited for this role at all.

I don't know why whole episodes aren't offered online. You can get all kinds of free episodes from other shows, even recent shows. This one is so old, I don't get it! GRRRR
