Personally i think the resell value on a custom PC would be better because you can just upgrade the old parts, which would be over all cheaper than building a entirely new system or buying a mac pro

If you're using Linux, add &fmt=22 to the end of the url and wait for the bar to be completely red, than go to your /tmp folder and it should be there. there's another way by using youtube-dl url -b (the "-b" means the best quality)

Resale value for Mac is just the money you would of saved if you bought a PC.
As far as selling my PC, I don't, usually reuse it in some way or another if I upgrade. If it gets too old then I donate it to a school or recycle it.

Speaking with experience in selling a Mac and a Pc I spent over $5,000 for a Dell Xps Gen 4 3.6 pentium 4 back in 2006 a year and half later got $1500, my mac mini cost $900 back in 2006 sold it at the sametime as the Dell and got $450, My Mac Pro cost $4400 and a year and half later it still worth $3000 if I was to sale it today I only lost $1400 I know that if you got a high end OEM Pc and spent the Same amount your not going to get half what you pay for
From experience in selling my OEM Pc nobody wants old tech, it was hard as hell selling my Dell, my $900 Mac Mini sold faster then my $5,000 OEM Dell and I bought both at the same time, Pc users this is not a bash i'm just speaking what I went threw maybe others had better luck selling their Pc but for me I lost out big time and I will never spend that much on a PC again
I kinda disagree with you on one point. It is true that Macs overall have better resale value. It is kinda like buying a Honda or Toyota vs Chrysler or Chevy. Simple fact is the Honda/Toyota has better resale value. Same goes for mac and pc. Buy a pc and a year later you probably couldn't sell it for half the price of what you payed for vs Mac where you probably could sell it for 3/4 the price you payed for.

To give you an idea, I got a comparable laptop for $750. My macbook pro cost $2000. My new laptop beats my macbook pro in all but one spec.
