  • do you live by yourself?

  • It is still the 16th! Happy Birthday Alex.

  • hey alex i love you bro (no homo) btw happy birth day ♥

  • MAN you haven't played live any other time with other musicians before? That's like my favorite thing about drums! :P

  • I have used sliders, and they don't make that big of a difference. I used one that was about 3 feet and one like you said which I think was about 5 feet. In the actual video, its almost unnoticeable. You would be better off using the rollers from a trash can or something under your tripod.Sliders just don't move enough and they make a good bit of noise under the camera unless you lube it up well. IMO, you don't need to spend the money on one. $300 is a ton for such little flexibility.

  • @iSkulk

If you think sliders don't make that much of difference, then you aren't shooting anything important. Sliders are much better than a Dolly because they are portable and STABLE. Ever try and lug a dolly, PVC pipe into the woods? And then setting up and getting level? Second. All you gotta do is watch Phillip Bloom or Luke from Neumann Films to see what the difference really is. If you want to mimic a real movie you gotta have movement in your shots period. And quality at that.

  • I totally KNOW. I'm trying to get the ultraslider too! Did Brandon ever get that mic?

  • @SearlsMedia The place won't respond to my emails and even left them a voice mail! Gahhhh! But Brandon kinda got it. He bought the Zoom H4N, a nice XLR cable, and some associates.....BUT is borrowing the same mic he is going to eventually buy from a friend. He is the reason for (what hope is) the great quality audio in all the uncomfortable situation videos!

  • whats wrong with your DIY dolly because that looks like the same effect?

  • @danGigantic Essentially, yes. But sliders are so much more portable and functional. Ill still use the skater dolly for shots over 5ft. Plus with sliders you can tilt them up and have a your shot dolling upwards. Gives it the illusion that you are on a crane. Cool stuff!

  • i have the same birth day as you just 4yrs younger i think......ill be 15

im also intrigued by space and like legos and film... creepy...lol

looking forward to the nature video
