Creflow Dollar just bought another building in N. Atlanta. once again in a poorer community where he can continue to fleece the poor and desperate.
Don't really like mentioning people by name but this guy is a wolf in sheep's clothing who is very select about the bible verses he uses and is in danger unless he repents.
To everyone who want to preach the prosperity gospel and by saying that you will have a trouble free life you are misrepresenting the gospel...I want you to look at the churches in the middle east along with the ones in China where the believers are killed for their faith on a daily basis and tell them they will have all the riches of this earth...NO their reward and riches are in heaven. They will be blessed for their faith but this does not mean money. Heaven is our reward not money.
Well first of all, THROUGH CHRIST, there is money(Matthew 6:33,Luke 6:38,Romans 8:32, Philippians 4:19, ,health(Isaiah 53:5), AND comfort!( John 14:19, 2Corinthians 1:4, 7:6)
My lowly idea of what it is talking about in Proverbs 22.4 is spiritual wealth, spiritual life, spiritual honor. Wouldn't that make more sense with what's been said about jesus?
In my opinion--- Solomon wrote those things, the richest and wisest of all. He commented many times that following God often brings money and that this was meaningless. My point is...
You're calling these people evil that preach that money is a by-product of following God when a: it often is, and b: you're judging someone else's righteousness
If they preach Christ crucified and raised from the dead and righteousness by faith-- leave them alone.
Now, don't get me wrong. I believe that God blesses us. But I don't think that his blessings are something we cant earn by just being a better. Just be more humble. Just being this, or that. If we had to earn something from God, there is no way we could. No one can meet God's standards. That blatantly clear in the Bible.
Since when does wealth and honor and life that is talked about in the bible refer to the worlds idea of it? Why do we interpret wealth to mean big salaries? What about Jesus? He was dead poor.
show me were in the bible that it says that Jesus was poor! Jesus took care of twelve grown men! He had a ministry TO THE POOR, being that God annointed him to preach the gospel to the poor, and he had a treasury, whom judas watched over....when was the last time you seen a poor person with a treasury? Also, when he went to the cross, they gambled for his garment, because it was without seem(tailor made). Get our of here with that false religious stuff! The Kingdom of God is at hand, ya heard me
JESUS DIDN'T OWN The cloak that the soldiers gambled for. It was placed on him by Herod. The Bible says, "though he was rich ...HE BECAME POOR." The only way he could have become rich was by taking money from the poor people he served. In fact, he was too poor to afford a tomb for his own burial. I Timothy 6:5 says those who think that godliness is a means to financial gain are of corrupt mind and have been robbed of the truth. GODLINESS IS NOT A MEANS TO FINANCIAL GAIN.
sorry,Mark 15:20 says that they took OFF the purple garment and put HIS own clothes on him!(before he went to the cross). Then at the cross in Luke 23:34 it says they parted HIS raiment, and cast lots! I'm sorry, but you have run upon an informed believer! Yeah, he did become poor, ON THE CROSS, just like he became SIN! Since you see Christ as being poor, are you poor? If not, you are not being like Christ! If you are poor, you need to sell that computer that you have because that's a luxury!
Piper talks about prosperity preachers, but What about this big problem with racism in the church? Why is he not talking about that? That's the biggest issue in the american church. We have "white churches, black churches, ect. The father is not pleased! IT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH SINCE THIS COUNTRY STARTED! This is what he needs to be concerned about....or is Piper a racist?
Hey Broth'. Thanks for standing for the Truth. You and I need to keep our eyes on the eternal. Jesus became poor as he emptied himself. The doctrine of Christ's kenosis, or self-emptying, is one of the most amazing of all biblical truths. The extent to which He who was not only "in the form of God," but also "equal with God," condescended to "make himself of no reputation" (the translation of kenoo in Philippians 2:6, 7), is utterly beyond human comprehension. Nothing to do with earthlies.
Becasue its a "Proverb"...not a promise. I don't think that any of the "Prosperity Gospel" preachers are really honoring God like they should be....read the next comment too. (Proverbs also tells us that if you honor your parents you will live long but it is not always the case.)
Paul calls living long for honoring your parents a "promise" that's from the 10 commandments...
But yeah, it doesn't happen to everyone. Thats ok... not the point they're making I think. They're really just saying that there's a strong correlation and there is.
<3<3<3 thank You Jesus <3<3<3

I'd say he had, and has all of those things.

"Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life"
