Hmm ... I think they came from an area called Wales, maybe that's why. There are Pembroke Welsh Corgi and also Cardigan Welsh Corgi.

Cardigans born with long tail. Pembrokes are born with bob tail.

Corgis, actually if you get a reserved MALE, he can be very very laid back.

Skye is very laid back, he loves to watch the birds outside and just stare at the guinea pigs. He is far from active.

Females are usually very active (of course each dog is different) and females are much more distructive as well. I will stay away from active female corgi unless you have a big backyard.

So when you are ready to get a corgi, see the whole litter and pick the calmest one in the litter. You'll be glad.

Hi.

I've never had one. But from what I heard, Cardigans are a little more reserved.

A bit more serious and less silly.

I've meet several of them. They are more careful toward strangers.

Skye was pure breed (from what I know.. ancestor wise), but he was born with a full long tail (like a Cardigans). His personality is very reserved (so was his brother : Phantom. He has true Cardigan personality)

@happyizzytime They shed A LOT! But some shed more than others depending on the hair type. I have two and my girl doesn't shed as much and has short hair. My boy sheds like crazy and has long hair. But corgis are awesome dogs and are worth teh shedding...that's the only problem you'll ever have!

Corgis are usually very Loyal and Reserved.

They guard their family very well. So socializing them is very important.

And they are working type of dogs, so it's important to exercise them.

Very often these dogs have nothing to do at home.

So when they are bored and they are unsocialized, they can be aggressive toward strangers (to protect their family/ home).

I have 2 Corgis right now.

One is my guard dog and he is over protective around me, the other is not so much :0)

Thank you :0) Phantom is a very very good dog. We absolutely miss him. :0) I really am not sure if Pembrokes are suppose to be  bobtails. Out of the 5 , Skye was the only one with full long tail & blue eye. The rest were bobtails & brown eyes. So I think pure Pembrokes are maybe suppose to be bobtails. ?? Wo knows ... Their parents were pure Pembrokes but Skye might just have a hint of Cardigan (somewhere in his ancestors may be mixed). That will explain the long tail and why the blue eye :P

I am not sure if this will work, but ... change the song to a non copyrighted song. Then you must re-saved the video under a different name, so the system won't recognize it as the same video.

Hi,

Corgi might not be that small because they can get pretty chunky.

They are short, but heavy.

Males will get to 28 - 40 pounds

Females about 25 - 35 pounds.

But they are very short like a pomeranian.

I love Corgis, they are very smart .

Corgi also need some type of exercise daily (like going to the market, run, meet people and walk around the park, etc... just to keep them socialized), otherwise if you get a hyper ones, they can be pretty destructive.

I think yorkie or maltese is good too.
