its annoying that the main video for this fight by hockeyfightsdotcom is the ottawa feed that shows nothing and u cant tell how good of a fight it was and how bad shelley kicked his ass
@ Everyone: Both sides tend to miss a few key points. Neil went after Giroux. It doesn't matter that Neil did it because Giroux laid a big hit, he went after the Flyers' leading scorer. Shelley had to address that. Shelley is not afraid of anyone. He turned down Carkner so he could fight Neil. As the team's heavyweight, Carkner attempted to take Shelley away from Neil in this fight because that's his job. O'Donnell was simply keeping Carkner away from that fight.
Shelley knew that when neil came out of the box he would go after one of our star players again like he did with Giroux. Neils more of a threat on the ice for cheap shots then Carkner is so Shelley wanted to take neil out of the game.
@bzabra Really? The way I saw it was Shelley wanted Neil for jumping Giroux. That's called protecting your teammate. Carkner sure was tough going after O'Donnell. Talk about picking your spot.
@chiefs013 Oh yeah... he wanted to protect his team mates... nice excuse. You wanna talk about Carkner picking spots ? When Shelley declined to fight him and then went after Neiler ? O'Donnell is a vet who can fight and is around the same size as Carkz. Like wow, I can smell the bias on you from here bro.
@chiefs013 Carkner didn't go after O'Donnell. It's very clear that Carkner was skating over to intervene in the Shelley-Neil fight and O'Donnell approached him.

Like Carkner didn't invite Shelley to dance?

Whether you like Chris Neil or not, give him credit for not picking his
spots. This is another example of Neil fighting out of his weight division.
Hate him if you want but Neil has taken on every heavyweight out there
and in most cases has held his own.
BTW, why did big man Shelley decline several offers from Carkner to drop em?
There's 'tough' and there's 'spot pickers'. There is no question in this game,
Shelley picked his spot.

@bzabra Shelley had to fight Neil because Neil went after the Flyers' leading scorer. It's very simple.
