@aldrinsi I feed these mostly Hikari Massivore pellets, HBH Algae Wafers and bloodworms. It takes many many years to reach a nice 6"+ fish however. Many of the small FF's are now deceased, as one of them grew larger than the rest and within a few days killed all but one male. That male is now in a 10g by itself.
Don't keep 2 phoenix unless you're keeping a small and a large. When that small one grows up, you'll have to get some small ones like the ones I've got.
The aggression starts in the fall and spring. I think this is a mating time hardcoded into the fish. For the most part you can keep 2 similar sized ones, but things can go bad QUICK. When it does, be ready to separate them.
Phoenix do better solitary or in groups of 6+ or in sets of a large and a/many small.
good fish!!

You see much aggression between the prochilodus? Do you think two could peacefully live together?
