@teetle1986 Thank you so much - not only a great film but two of my favorite actors - Brynner and Bergman - it doesn't get better than this - Everyone involved is top notch, Brynner, Bergman, Litvak, Arthur Laurents for the screenplay, and supporting players Helen Hayes and Natalie Shafer (among others I'm sure) - great, great film. Some may be as good, but none are better.
Ingrid was such a beautiful woman, an amazing actress. And Yul was really handsome.
This is one of my favorite movies... I just love her dress at the party thrown in Anastasia's honour, which is inspired in one that belonged to the real Anastasia.
Great video, I saw the movie Anastasia today. I really enjoyed it, especially the performances of Ingrid Bergman and Yul Brynner. But I watched it without subtitles so sometimes it was difficult to understand. I didn't get the ending, it was so sudden. The whole movie I thought she was Anastasia, but the ending made me doubt that. Can someone explain it to me?
It's a very ambiguous ending - I think the director didn't want the end to be "definite" because even with the real Anna, it still isn't sure if she was or was not Anastasia :).
nice video, could anyone post The Sound and the Fury 1959 starring Yul Brynner and Joanne Woodward(I think the song 'Reflection' also fits Joey Woodward's character Miss Quentin Compson^^)
just a little info about ingrid and this movie. at this time she was banned to come to america. she had a child with rosallini and he was married at the time. so later on she made the film in europe. she was nominated for and oscar and won. cary grant went and recieved the award ( he was one who fought to bring ingrid back to the states). she was in the tub when her son over heard in the radio that she won, she was crying cuz she was so happy.

I agree she was a glamorous woman but I never consider her as a good actress.
