Every company has a Bean counter and they obviously decided to cut corners on the Crossover case! Unless that's Lexan, that's crap considering some people have spent over $1600.00+ on a set of these.
So did you install these in your new E-clas Turbo Diesel Mercedes? I've seen these for as cheap as $700.00 recently on Feebay but that's gray Market from some Nobody seller and your taking a big risk. Still tempting as hell.
That's a HUGE markup. TOp shelf Dealers like Crutchfield whom are Authorized and offer full Warranty sell these for about $1200.00 nowdays. You can get them for around $900.00 if you know where to look from someone who's underselling on google but I wouldn't want anyone to take the risk of getting speakers of this Calibre without a proper warranty.
@techkid1000 Hey I ahve since changed the car and will in due time do a before and after video, but unfortuntely the GF has decided I should spend the weekends installing this kitchen she has had her eye on, so when that is all done I will for sure upload a video of the hifi install. Yes to answer your question I find these Focal speakers to be the best for overall sound quality and imaging with every nuance of sounds perfectly reproduced, most probabally the best car speakers in the world, I would also say that the Pioneers CPRS would be my second selection but these focals I know are bomb proof and will fill your car with sounds the likes of which will totally amaze when you first listen to them.

I'm running these speakers of the JL HD 600/4 total immersion. Unfortunately for me I have just changed the car to a new honda civic so it will be a while before I install all this stuff as I don't want to start ripping my new car apart, as it looks fantastis with all that plastic trim, that will never fit back correctly, lol..
