  • I so pleased to have a First Edition Book from this series, I've used it for years and still make the Christmas Pudding and most of all the other recipes.

  • 7:14

Sarah's not shaking because she's camera-shy. She' shaking because she knows that if she f's up, Fanny will make her spend a week in "The Box".

  • @MiHiVidz Ha! I've been wondering how Sarah fared in the years following her stint with Mrs. Cradock.

  • @PennyDreadfuI Probably the same way that Christina Crawford dealt with her post Joan Crawford years.

I know that Gwen Troake, the woman that Fanny mercilessly demolished on camera (and thus demolishing her own career in the process) did release her own cookbook later on.

  • Looks like a pile of raw cinnamon rolls under melted chocolate, vanilla pudding, and buttercream ribbons laid down by a madwoman.

  • "I only shake for the first half minute."

  • holy cow.... that trifle looks vile!

  • I love how her assistant hides under the counter!

  • OMG -- I watch these cooking vids with utter fascination... Exactly what is Fanny about? What an odd character! Also, every dish she makes is food I'd never dream of eating - so awfully rich and laden with butter or cream, etc. Look what she put into this trifle! Gloopy layers of various sugary foods and sauces. I think I'm a diabetic now form just watching!

  • I wish I could see some of the programmes with Johnny in as well.

I remember she used to say "and Johnny will do the washing up"

I bet a lot have been wiped now though.

  • This is gayer than tits!

  • ... so now your trifles will look and taste like fanny's............

  • "...and don't tell that woman next door..." lol

  • Franny will always be a englands treasure but I dont think I would like her as my boss though lol I feel for her assistant her darling sarah she keeps refering too

  • i wish so much much here mincemeat programme was here, its hysterical i saw it on sky, she tells a story about a woman who used apricot face cream instead of rose water in one of her recipies! it has to been seen so funny.

  • I don't know if it's the one you mean, but if you watch the one about Christmas cake she's on about the woman with the orange and rose water and getting a dirty letter. Ask for one for CULINARY USE my darlings!

  • i saw that one the other day :] she's hilarious :]

  • thats the one!!!!! PMSL

  • god i love british trifle

  • Does anyone know where you can get hold of the Fanny Cradock's Christmas cookery book, because she keeps refering to it in all of her christmas programmes? Thanks.

  • Amazon

  • -push it in and squeeze, and it's goregeous...

  • Oh my God Fanny ROCKS!!!

  • For someone so 'proper' i love the fact she said SQUADGY lol

  • Wonder if it'll vanish on my "byufet" too. Love Fanny! Poor Sarah! Wonder where she is now.

  • "I've touched the bowl with the chocolate, so don't write and tell me because I've already seen it" lol lol

  • ....and they will be perfect. but they will not be perfect unless you add something.......

  • "Whip it until it has the creamy texture of cream...."

  • "Sauternes- spelled with an S always" Priceless!!

  • shes very good, i like her, knows how to teach the correct way to cook.

  • I always did like Fanny on Saturday night.
