  • Fun Fact: Their guitarist 'Spencer Sercombe' is now the guitar-teacher of a good friend of mine, and believe me he is still the most talented and sweet guy ever. He has 3 sons and is married. He cut his blond angel hair, but sometimes he is still rockin orange glasses haha. Cheers!

  • They were on Bill and Teds Excelent Adventure soundtrack.

  • I see how Axl got his act from....what a loser Axl is...Black was an original.

  • One of the best albums released in the later 80's genre. Law of the Order is hands down one of the greatest. Not one bad song on it. Loved this "tape" back in the day. Wish these guys would of got the fame they deserved. And RIchard is one of the coolest frontmen ever. Just ask Axl Rose where he got his moves from.

  • The BEST band in Hollywood to this day! Wish I knew what Richard has been up to. He's the SEXIEST front man EVER! Miss you guys!

  • baya joya se marcan richard black y spencer sercombe ,un disco indispensable en tu coleccion ....yeahhhh

  • I worked on this Video! This band was amazing live as well! I still listen to their CD.. Richard, Spencer, Greg and Chris were very cool! One of my many jobs on this vid besides production coordinating was painting that very big floor black and Ialso operated the light dimmers for the pulsating lights on Greg's drum hits around 3:44 lol this vid was low budget but we still shot it on film I think the total budget was 15K Alan Carter the Director/Editor really put together a great video!

Yeah they did show Axle Rose some stuff with an album called "Hay Axle listen to this".

  • In my 18th birthday I asked my father to buy me this LP (in Shades Records at Gibraltar, with Love/Hate's debut album) it amazed me then and still I think Shark Island was one of the best hard rock bands ever.

I moved to Ottawa and GOT RID OF IT!

I know....I was stupid....I haven't heard the album in years, but every song is so distinct in my memory....I have to get this cd again!

  • Hey lanewide, I had the cassette too. ...and played the shit out of it. I must have played "Paris is Calling" a million times..."play" "stop" "rewind" and "play" again. My tape was so stretched out!. This was a great band! No matter how much shit you get for admitting it, you have to love the 80's and the music that was the soundtrack to those times.

  • Hey !!! All you Shark Island prey. Let's get the word out about one of the best bands ever. They should have been bigger then life. They were great live! Let's revive these guys and see if we can get them to reunite and put on a gig in LA.

  • @doglegdave66 Bring them to Barcelona!

  • @doglegdave66 Better in Barcelona!

  • I always think of this girl I fell in love with when this song came out. We were Bad for Each Other but it was fun doing it. Dana!

  • Contraband recorded this song too. Sounds a lot like this version.

  • They did...it's the same singer as well... Richard Black . Great tune!

  • Should have made it big!

  • hell i remember when this first came out in 89', i was like wtf! who would call their band '' shark island?'' lol i actually had that cd.

  • One of the best ballads of all-time!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Ryan, How can we be bad for each other if you never gave it a chance? You can't walk way I know this. So look me in the eyes and say it to me once more. Tell me how much you want me, maybe this time I will believe you.

  • Well your never to old(47) to discover new music. Another lost band that us in Australia never got to hear along with (Steelheart,Firehouse,Lynch Mob,Hardline,Bulletboys,HSAS,Kix,Danger Danger etc...)glad YOU Tube is around to see what we missed. Guys get them to come down here.

  • You forgot Vain, Dokken, and many more bud.

  • Vain? Will have to check them out. Name some others, I'm always trying to dig up great old metal bands! Saigon Kick Tigertailz Killer Dwarfs Herricane Alice are a few !!

  • suparokdog would rather listen to music about sucking dick, marco polo, and peanut butter and jelly. 80's Hair Metal will always be the best. suparokdog is a FAGGOT!

  • wotz suparokdog?

  • suparokdog is a FAG! He'd rather hear about two men fucking.

  • Do you know if all the songs from Law of the order are in here? The only song I knew until today was Paris Calling. I know about "Dangerous" and "Father Time."

  • my favorite song on this album. But they have a cover version of the Chain by Fleetwood Mac which is awesome.

  • these guys should have been as big as gnr, even bigger IMO

  • i wish they had not fell apart and had released more in the 80s. gathering of the faithful is a great album, but it's not the same

  • Man I am kicking it old school tonight!

I know where the old cassettes are!!

  • Totally! This song is awesome!

  • I used to watch these guys at Gazzarri's a lot. They put on a very professional and entertaining show. The best of that era, for rock genre, in my opinion. GNR was obviously really good too, but very sloppy. These guys were tight, and Richard Black is a great stage presence.

  • awesome song

  • this is good glad i clicked on it was a related vid from dokken breaking the chains

  • Thanx for the video,I'm taking a walk down memory lane tonight, video style. Rock On !!

  • my fav tune ever love everything about the song thanx for vid

  • Great band. Anyone have any vids of The original lineup of The Sharks/with Rick, Spencer, Dave and Jim. There album Alter Ego is a one of a kind. On vinyl of course. The also have a 45 vinyl of a cover of "Get it on" and the flip side is "Hey".

  • I have "Alter Ego", "Get it on", also the Xmas '45 that had "Santa Clause is comming to Town" sung to the music of Judas Priest's "Hell on to the Highway" Dont forget "LA Rocks" Great sh*t from this Arcadia Ca. Band. I saw them TOO MANY TIMES, they killed it back then!!

  • Should have been alot bigger!

  • COOL!! Thanks for uploading this, I love Shark Island!!
