However his economic policies were based on the fantasy that low tax rates and social programs can coexist. This fallacy created the debt nightmare. His deregulatory policies also paved the way for the too big to fail banking system. I admit though I would have probably voted for him because of the shear strength of his larger than life personality.

Europe varies extremely from country to country, but all of the great powers in Europe have positive views of the US with the majority. Australia and NZ, many Asian countries and all of Sub-Saharan Africa view the US positively. Be sure that the numbers support you before you try and make an authoritative statement.

Debt was done by men in suits that gave out loans to people that couldn't afford them under CLINTON's eye. America was seen as baby killers since Vietnam (Under LBJ) and our military is not weakend and bruised. That's what's wrong with people today. We lost more troops in one day in WW2 than we have in this entire conflict, and we weren't bruised. Hit and run firefights are hard to handle at times, but trust me CNN doesn't talk about the battles won, just the casaulties. Imagen the other side's.

It's interesting you mention Blackwater. The man who founded BW is originally from a town a half hour away from me. He's from a rich background and is related to a man who tried running for governor of Michigan in 2006. Mercs like BW seem to be filled with military dropouts and get away with war crimes because they're not under the same oath's our military swear by. Private military contractors operate with the same rules of engagement, codes of conduct, and professionalism that uniformed troops do if not more so. Reagan was fucked. Reagan was the one who really began ballooning the federal deficit (which Dubya so brilliantly continued) to crush the USSR in an unsustainable arms race. The USSR spent more than it could afford on thousands of nukes (which are still out there), and it collapsed. The USSR would have collapsed anyway, or become capitalist like China did. What did we gain? Meanwhile, Bush's military overspending is sending us the way of the USSR. Pretty ironic.
