I drive on the freeways, and guess what I find when I come to a stop at the exit light? A poor homeless person with a sign asking for food. Anyhow, in many ways China today is so much different than the China of the past. I've travelled to China numerous times since the 1980's, and the living standards have improved for many. Are there problems in China today, yes indeed.
i live in occidental and i think the "perfect" system of yours is not a reliable reference to the current chinese oligarchy. As the US being controlled by corporates and bankers, so yes, this is why you have poverty, its a symptom.
