I would say 800hp is to much for fwd. not saying it isnt happening and actually working for guys running that much but 350-500 is fairly easy to control with the correct tire set-up. you cant run over 300 with any old tires on your car. shit i have wheel spin problems with my 200hp setup. but thats a power to weight ratio issue which i can deal with. I dont hate V8's, I just enjoy beating them for half the cost. but I have had my ass handed to me a few good times. cobra

@ruthlessone3k LS2s go for a bit more. The 6.0 truck motors (LQ4 or LQ9) can be had at a junkyard for $300. Compression is a bit lower but some new pistons or milling of the heads can cure that. If you have an LS1, just stick with it unless you are going to build a 400+ci motor. LS1tech is a great place to learn.

Foxbody's are cheap and they are light as a feather.. then not only do you have a Built Foxbody.. but your not stuck driving around in a Honda..If Honda wanted you to make their cars fast they would make high hp/ tq engines.. with RWD or AWD but Honda want you to save money on Gas..

@94SexyStang wow 10k-15k in a honda or acura would be overkill, all you would need to to beat a stock ls1 in either one would be about 260-280 whp and that would only take about $2000-$2500 assuming you already had the motor you wanted.

LT1 6spds need a little bit more, they will hit maybe 13.4-ish with stickies only depending on how confident you are launching with that stock 10-bolt. My LT1/a4 when it was stock did 13.7@101.3 on street tires with a 2.0 60ft. As far as the integra, if i was an import guy and had one along with 15k to spend, ill get 400+whp out of it, throw some 22x8x14 m/t's on the front and go 11's. Depends on taste mate, fast is fast ;-)

Damn that 1800cc could kinda hang with that 5700cc. Pretty impressive if you ask me. That teg also weighs like 2800lbs....That motor the way it was with short ratio gears and a really good tune in a little hatchback that weighs like 2000lbs with an awesome driver, the car would be on that camaros ass by 2 cars or less.
Keep in mind in the economy trim 1800cc...That revs out at 7300rpm and has a rigged up vtec and a drilled oil tap in the block for the vtec head. This video is funny.

I would say 800hp is to much for fwd. not saying it isnt happening and actually working for guys running that much but 350-500 is fairly easy to control with the correct tire set-up. you cant run over 300 with any old tires on your car. shit i have wheel spin problems with my 200hp setup. but thats a power to weight ratio issue which i can deal with. I dont hate V8's, I just enjoy beating them for half the cost. but I have had my ass handed to me a few good times. cobra

If you want cheap & fast, fox body or a 3rd gen f-body with a carb'd LQ9 (6.0 LS1-based truck motor), cam, and a 150 shot with some drag radials and a stalled th350 and you have a 10 second car for under $5,000.

@ruthlessone3k LS2s go for a bit more. The 6.0 truck motors (LQ4 or LQ9) can be had at a junkyard for $300. Compression is a bit lower but some new pistons or milling of the heads can cure that. If you have an LS1, just stick with it unless you are going to build a 400+ci motor. LS1tech is a great place to learn.

@prisonbreak7760 Well it's like getting into a fist fight with someone. Me in my built LT1 camaro, i wont got around picking on gsr's....but like in a fight if the person hits you first then it's fair game, so if someone in a gsr gets the idea that it can race my camaro then it's fair game. It's like, if someone uses the displacement excuse, then they shouldnt be in a honda. A real import owner instead of complaining about displacement will go back to the garage and do something about it.

Even IF that integra was boosted.........still no dice....even against an older bolt-on LT1!!!
Don't believe me, type in LT1 vs honda, there's a video to prove it.
Dude has a built motor AND turbo in his integra, loses 3 times!
Stock LT1's can hit 12's with a 6spd and drag radials.
LS1's can do that on street tires.
Intergras need well into $10k-15k, PLUS tuning and a good driver.
I can get an LT1 or LS1 for $2000-5000, and run 12's all day long practically STOCK. Actually I have one.

@94SexyStang wow 10k-15k in a honda or acura would be overkill, all you would need to to beat a stock ls1 in either one would be about 260-280 whp and that would only take about $2000-$2500 assuming you already had the motor you wanted.

@94SexyStang 10-15k?? wtf are you talking about? you can buy a turbo kit for 2k and another 1k on tuning and keep the stock internals on a gsr motor. add another 1k on injectors and other mods and you will have a 300+ hp engine

@94SexyStang Actually it's LS1/T56's that hit 12s with d/r's only. LT1 6spds need a little bit more, they will hit maybe 13.4-ish with stickies only depending on how confident you are launching with that stock 10-bolt. My LT1/a4 when it was stock did 13.7@101.3 on street tires with a 2.0 60ft. As far as the integra, if i was an import guy and had one along with 15k to spend, ill get 400+whp out of it, throw some 22x8x14 m/t's on the front and go 11's. Depends on taste mate, fast is fast ;-)
