  • @MaricarReyes88 I think that acne solution program is way better than surgery.. Surgery can sometimes cause you side effects and ofcourse can cause pain too plus its a bit pricey.. I suggest you try this acne solution site ive been using this past month and my skin never looked this clearer and lighter. Here's the url:

  • Which cetaphil cleanser n lotion do u use? Oily skin or normal to dry skin?

  • Hi Lorraine! I just picked myself up some merderma and just placed an order for some of that buffering lotion. =) thanks for the tip! oh btw are you referring to cystic acne scarring where it appears some what ice picky instead of the flat left over brown spots? I used to be on bc and it ruined my skin.. all on my cheeks and jawline =( i'm praying that merderma helps reduce the appearance of those ugly scars.

  • I've been watching some of your old skincare videos... And you've made me order Mederma :)

  • Thanks for sharing your advice and information on getting rid of acne and getting clear skin!

If you have any questions about acne or breakouts let me know... I'm sure I can help!

    Thanks!

    David "The Skin" King

  • Your super pretty . I would show you a goood time !

  • @KaiIeeMckenzie thats nasty, she is beautiful, get a life.

  • i want to have my hands on the mia clarisonic as well as the mario badescu buffering lotion! we don't have it here in asia, plus no websites selling the clarisonic ship to asia, i'm so pissed off!

  • I lovvvvve your voice <3

  • Is the Clarisonic rough on your skin? Does it hurt?

  • i found that so far everything you use works with my skin as well. i have like the same exact skin type as you. i really appreciate your videos. if it helps anyone... it has helped me immensely. thanks. ;}

  • I have this same skin type also. One major problem i have is my acne prone areas tend to change! when i was in middle school it was my forehead, then my chin, then my cheeks. once the acne is gone from one section it goes to another i have noooo earthly idea why it is like that! and then scarring from that is horrible. i just cant get away acne from it no matter what i do. and then i have sensitive VERY oily skin on top of that

  • @flykweenz i know how you feel! i have the exact same problem! hopefully we all can find a cure SOON >.<

  • i know you posted this a while ago, but i would appreciate it if youd reply :) is the cetaphil cleanser supposed to lather up into foam? because mine doesnt.

  • @peshxo nopeee it doesnt lather :( i wish it did!

  • I was watching all your videos and your face seems almost perfect in all of them... Idk if its the make up but it seems like you've never had a problem with acne.. all the products you mention sound fantastic and I really wanna get them.. I'm just not sure if this is one of those vids where people get paid for promoting companies products.. well if you're sincere thank you! I hope it works.. Im 26 and have had acne since I was 16! and it gets worse as time passes by =(

  • I have the exact same skin as you (oily and sensitive), but I am 15 years old; therefore, my skin is currently more acne-prone. I have acne around my hairline and my forehead (a bit on my nose too), and I just want to get rid of it because I want to start high school with clear skin. I do have a problem with picking...and can you explain the Clarisonic a bit more? It seems kinda costly for a teenager, and I hope it doesn't irritate my skin with any scrubbing (idk how it works).

    Thanks,

    Jane

  • hi lorraine,

you have the exact same skin type as mine! i will def consider those products you mentioned here though my skin really is very easily irritated so i gotta be careful. also just wondering- have you ever tried dermalogica? xx

  • thx

  • I have the exact same skin type as you with cystic acne on the cheek area as well & it's so annoying. I love the Cetaphil cleansers and lotions and they work great. I also use the Proactiv Refining Mask for spot treatments at night and it works pretty good.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one out there with this skin type and you've given some excellent tips.

    Thanks for the video! :)

  • Made me smile from ear to ear to hear you say the SPF 30 thing! I think so many people on youtube don't know anything about protecting their skin, major props Lo. It is that, in general, SPF higher than SPF 30 is much more expensive relative to the SPF 30, but it is not proportionately more protective (if that makes sense). So just because you shell out more cash doesn't mean more protection =) It is important for people to know SPF 40 isn't 100% better than SPF 20, it is more like 5% better.

  • Hey Lorraine, ive struggled with acne my whole life and recently saw your vid about cetaphil, so naturally i went to the store and got me self some and im going to start using that and crossing my fingers that it works...aaaalthough i was wondering if you had any tips or tricks for blackheads!!!???especially in the nose region.thanks:)

  • I have always just had cystic pimples and Cetaphil products are the only thing that cleared my skin completely and literally made it flawless. Thanks for this video, it reminded me to just stick with Cetaphil if I know it does truly work miracles! :)

  • I need this Clarisonic thing.. now. Is it possible to get it for cheaper?

  • @Blissterr I just bought the Clarisonic Mia. It is a smaller "travel size" version. I love love love it so far! I got mine at Sephora for $150.

  • thank you so much for sharing! i've been breaking out so much lately! i usually get cystic pimples too! which is def not fun! i'm definitely going to have to check out the products you mentioned!

  • very cool thank you for the suggestions! I took notes =)

  • Hi! My mom uses Cetaphil but I never payed attention to it. Thanks for recommeding it, Ive been trying to get rid of my acne since I was 12. Its really starting to clear up nicely now and its only been a week! No new acne, no tight dry skin, its great stuff! Instead of the exfoliator you have i bought a Oral-B Pulsar toothbrush with soft bristles. A cheaper option and its been great! Thanks so much! 5 stars ^_^

  • I have the same skin type as you, I will try Cetaphil now :]

  • does the soothing gel works the same as the maderma lotion? can someone please tell me if they know

  • my acne scars on my face is now gone thanks to a good nights sleep and my skin feels soft and smooth but i still have small acne's(red spots) near my nose area and my forehead...how do i fix that?!

  • i like cetaphil but it has sodium laureth...and it foams so i heard it can be irritating in the long run. it also makes the skin dry.

  • did the Mederma really fade acne scars? and how long did it take? and how long does it take for acne scars to go away??

  • my skin is exactly like yours, luckily for us oily-skined people, we are gonna get wrinkes much later that the pimple-free dry-skinned people cuz our skin has more elastisity =]

  • It sounds like I have the exact same type of skin as you. I don't get black heads or white heads really, but I get big cystic acne on my cheeks and now I have dark marks from scarring. I am going to try the maderma cream and see if it works

  • thank you so very much for this...this is the best, most detailed, thought out skin care video EVER!!!!! Now i'm off to purchase some of these products, i will definitely update you if I see improvement...5 *s

  • I have the same type of skin as you! And btw, you seem so nice.

  • Any sunscreen after 30 doesn't work? How so?

  • Awesome!

  • After about 30 it does the same job as the lower numbers I do believe..

  • Cetaphil did wonders for my cystic acne too! I use caulidale vinoperfect for scarring which works.. But its like $80 for one ounce. I plan on trying mederma now.. Thanks!

  • have you used any of clairsonics products? The tool comes with some of their products but I have no idea if they would work. Also, any thoughts on the mia vs. the regular size?

  • Do you think Mederma would be good for scarring on other parts of the body? Like the legs?

  • Maybe you've covered this subject in other videos, but is there any cure for stretch marks? Or at least is there any way to fade them? I just started using Mederma cream btw. Thanks

  • I use the Boscia Make-up Breakup Cleansing Oil. It's the best!

  • i have acne too .. the only thing that stop it is ROACCUNANE 10mg

1 pill a day for 6 week u start notice vanishing of acne from 1st week ,it never come back again ( DOT NOT TAKE IT IF PREGNANT )

AND I DID PEELING REALLY CLEANED MY FACE FROM " OBAGI " CLENZIDERMmy skin is perfect now no break down :)

  • I have the exact same problem but cant afford the clearasonic thingy :p any good dupes or recommendations?

love your vids and you have helped someone at least out there!

  • @meli2180

Ulta sells Buf Puf. It's around $4-$5 and it exfoliates well. You just have to be careful and not overdo it (which is easy to do with the Buf Puf) otherwise the irritation will take a while to heal.

  • Thank you sooo much sweety! i'll look it up! :D

  • SKINID IS DA BEAST!

  • love you lorraine! great tips.

  • mederma is a great idea. I did use it once years ago for a tiny little stretch mark from pregnancy and i believe that it helped. So i suffer from the same acne as you and have Keretosis Pilaris on my arms so i am totally going to try the mederma on my skin as well. thank you!!!

  • ur so cute =D

  • i got cetaphil and buffering lotion gota get mederma

i have lots of acne n cystic acne to all my life i hate it

  • I have the EXACT same skin type. Mederma is a good idea! Why didn't I think of that?! I'm hooked on your videos now. Although if a product you mention has an active ingredient, I'd be sure to mention that. Like how Oxy spot treatment has 10% benzoyl peroxide as it's active ingredient. If that makes sense...

  • I have that skin :D

  • i really like your voice, it is so warm and friendly

  • Comment removed

  • u know the funny thing is people like my acne scars even girls like it they r not that bad........idk how i do that really ?!

  • i also started using jane iredale makeup products which are good for sensitive skin, but pricey. also, make sure to wash & condition your hair before washing your face in the shower. shampoo has harsh chemicals that are bad for your skin. washing your face after rinsing out the shampoo will get any traces off your skin. accidentally getting hairspray on your face while spraying your hair may cause sensitive skin to breakout as well.

  • people with sensitive, oily skin really have to be careful. i made my skin worse by using extremely harsh acne products & mixing benzoyl peroxide with mandelic acid. i have since learned my lesson & am using an organic line called eminence. i remove my makeup at night with stone crop cleanser & follow with citrus exfoliating wash, grapefruit gel & cucumber eye gel. i do the same routine in the morning except i ommit the stone crop cleanser. my skin has calmed-down since then.

  • how do u know if u have sistik or typical acne?

  • cystic acne grows deep underneath the skin & doesn't typically surface. It's similar to a boil. regular acne surfaces as a whitehead.

  • cystic acne last for at least a week and they're huge, red, and painful.they're really difficult to get rid of and if you try and pop them not that much comes up because it's more like these huge bumps on your face. nothing like you see on acne commercials.

  • thank u so much

  • Just letting you know, I started using the cetaphil after watching one of your videos & it has completely cleared up my skin! YOU, maam- have made a difference in my skin. :D thank you.

  • Thanks for this video! I have sensitive skin and I have been braking out with small bumps all over my forhead. They arent pimples but I'm not sure what they are... I want to try that mederma stuff now!

  • Hi, I must say u r pretty cool! I have the same skin type as u do, and I wanna give u some advice.(Don't get me wrong,I'm not calling myself "expert " here) 1 DON'T BUY SHU UEMURA CLEANSING OIL! I got clogged pores from it(Maybe just me).I quite agree with Viviencanady about the DHC cleansing oil. 2 U r over using ur mask. If u over dry ur skin, u will soon get aging problem. Btw, I love the drying mask&buffering lotion too. Thanks 4 sharing!

  • awsome

  • on your other video you mentioned being interested in cleansing oils [it wont let me comment again on that video, not sure why]. but there is a product called Deep Cleansing Oil by the company DHC and it is amazing. i used to use it, im not sure why i stopped actually, but its inexpensive and has great reviews on makeupalley...hope that helps!

  • Please enter me! I have had problematic skin for over 10 yrs and have spent hundreds of dollars! I would love to try this product! Thank You for sharing your experiences with us!

  • i'm gonna get the mederma stuff, (:

  • UGG my skin gets really oily at night too. But Cetaphil is amazing! I get cystic acne in my cheek area too. I've tried everything! But thank you so much for the tips:)

  • Your videos are so incredibly helpful! :o)

  • i love all of ur videos i just watched the night routine<3

  • MEDERMA COUPON!

There is a $2 off coupon for Mederma on their website! (:

  • I'm really excited to try some of the products you've mentioned in both this video and your nighttime one :)

As far as your clarisonic, do you know how the less expensive Neutrogena Wave compares? I really don't have a lot of money to spend but I was interested in trying the Wave. Just wondering if you knew anything :)

    Thank you for your videos!

  • the wave doesnt really do anything, it vibrates and makes you feel like its cleaning your skin but it really isnt.

  • I bought mederma and tried it as a moisturizer and it totally made my skin heal from all my acne scars! Thank you for the tip!

  • Wouldn't the Clarisonic get kind of germy after 90 days though?

  • great video =]

  • hi lorraine great vídeo! I cant help watching you, great personality. Do you use mederma instead of a moisturizer?

  • hi lorraine great vídeo! I cant help watching you, great personality. Do you use mederma instead of a moisturizer? And also I heard that when using it your skin becomes flaky and starts peeling, does it happens to you?

  • I love my Clarisonic!

  • You are s fun to watch!

  • My skin is exactly the same...I hate waking up with dirty, greasy skin, even though I cleansed it well the night before :(

  • I'm in the same boat,I have oily skin and I get all types of acne, especially those annoying cyst pimples and I breakout around my cheeks or jawline eww! I pick them and end up scarring so I will try the Mederma lotion,so far my skin is not as bad as it used to,but I still get occasional pimples here and there but the cysts ones kinda hurt ,so yeah, but anyways, I'm going to give that lotion a try and see, thanks for the tips =]

  • I sometimes have bad acne very cystic ones and really ugly around my chin and cheeks. I've lost a lot of money going to a dermatologist and going to aestethics(spa) i dont know how to say that hehehe...nothing really helped me. Now i do my own routine and i have a better skin. By the way sorry about my english im not good...

  • i have to admit your skin look healthy... I saw your past videos and i can see the change. I think you look even younger. When i have acne i think i look old and my face dont look with the natural glow like when you have a healthy skin. You look even prettier.

  • by the way what is a ward remover? sorry for my ignorance...

  • "wart" remover, for removing warts that you get on your hands or feet or where ever =]

  • the mederma really stinks! i have the same one xx

  • ur lucky cuz i have blackheads and whiteheads and pimples

  • do you know if this will work for my combination skin. it's like my cheeks are kinda dry but i have an oily t-zone.

  • WArd remover is a strong version of blemish remover.

If they have salicylic acid they are the same.

    (:

I've had both acne & wards.

  • You look very happy, congrats! I m looking forward to your night skin routine video.

  • She does look very happy

  • you are so pretty! and this video helped me so much, i love love love your personality! keep the videos coming!

  • i agree. only when i got perscription tablets and a lotion. some stuff just doesnt work untuil you get professional help!

  • the only thing that will get RID of acne (not just help it go away faster) is talking to your doctor and getting a prescription.

trust me, i had REALLY bad acne now its like gone!

  • Hi Lorraine! Thanks to you, I've used the Cetaphil & I adore it! My skin has a better overlook so thankyou!! XOXOX

  • Hi Lorraine...so nice to see somone do videos like this...so nice to share...you're the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like and as always enjoy all your videos... have a great summer... =)

  • can u recommend anyyyy good over night creams? put it in the videooo

  • Should you exfoliate in the morning or at night? x

  • i have an almost similar skin to you.

  • Thanks for posting this! I can't wait to see the nightime routine video. I'm thinking about trying the Buffering Lotion since Mario Badescu has great products. Always enjoy your videos =)

  • cystic is under the skin and hurts alot

  • what is cystic acne???

  • i have what i think is hormonal acne, thank u for this vid, my acne is VERY cystic, and hurts, ive been thinking i need to go onYAZ the birthcontrol pill cause ive tried everything, when i wash my face at night its like washing sandpaper...so many bumps

  • You should try tetrocycline.. it clears your face up in a week... it is a pill.. and if there is a chance you might become pregnant you have to take it with birth control because it can give your baby birth defects.. i know i sound like a commercial but this pill is very good

  • this is true but being on an antibiotic for acne should only be used as a last resort!

  • LOVE YOU! hehe.. I've been fighting a battle too, but Along with my doc. and You, i think my skin is improving. Im so glad I bumped into your channel ...=)

  • Hi Lorraine! You are looking gorgeous as usual. I agree with everyone, you are looking very happy in this vid....I'm happy for you. Looking forward to your night time skin care routine. Thanks for all the tips.

  • you are sooo happy in this video =)

  • i have dry skin but i want to try that mederma stuff for scaring. if anyone has dry skin but have used that scarring cream and its worked for them let me know please!!! great video! loved it!

  • mederma also has a gel treatment its the same but in a gel ive heard that one is not that drying.. same price juct the tube is white with a blue cap.. hope ive helped :)

  • dont do it will make ur i will make ur face like peel off dont dooo itt!

  • i have the same exact kind of skin as you.

im gonna try the mario stuff, :D

  • you seem very happy and glowing :]

  • i love the clairsonic!!

  • The mario stuff she talked about works on me for those bumps u are talking about:)

  • alright thanks<3

  • you can also use spectro jel cleansers! They are just like Cetaphil cleansers, and just cleanse your face!

  • Does anyone know where i can buy cetaphil in the UK?x

  • Ebay.

  • Bad skin is loosing and GOOD skin is winning...LOL!

  • can you do a video on how you use all these products? thanks bye!! :)

  • Thanks for sharing! I have to try the maderma

  • how do you use your drying cream?

  • Your morning routine sounds like a part-time job. Haha!

I've been using Cetaphil for a while, but I recently threw it out. For some reason it started making my skin really red and started burning it. It's weird and kinda hard to fully explain.

  • This is great I'll have to try the Cetafil my sister use to use that when she was younger. I have the same problems as you. And I don't know if you've tried Olay sensivtive skin oil free moisturizer. It works for me and I have extremely oily skin too just like you.

  • Hey maggie16123 thats a good quistion haha, i got 2 of those small bumps before between my brows and thay took like 2months to go down and now 3 weeks later i can still feel those bumps but u cant really see them only when i touch them its soooo annoying thay take FOREVERRR to go.....xxxxxxxxxxx p.s love ye lorraine your the best on utube woooohooo lol <3 =)

  • The mario stuff she talked about works on me for those bumps u are talking about:)

  • ur skin looks amazing! I saw it on blog tv better!!! Im the same way i get these hugee pimples on my cheek area .. like mountains.. and im getting scars.. When are u doing the night time one? Cant wait! :D

  • i wish the clarisonic worked for me. i have combo sensitive skin with a really oily/congested T-zone & super sensitive dry cheeks. the clarisonic didnt make much of a difference in my oily areas & irritated my cheeks too much that i had to return it after a month :( it did make my skin feel nice and clean though. i mostly just get blackheads/whiteheads, but sometimes i get cystic acne on my chin/jawline & i do have some scarring b/c i pick sometimes :/ so i might try some of this. thanks!!! :D

  • I loved this video Thank you !

  • Hey Lorraine, since your skin is oily you shouldnt use a milky cleanser that doesnt foam like cetephil. You should be using a foaming one , Dermalogica special cleansing gel is amazing. I am a esthetician and I think your fabulous. Hope this helps<3K

  • I think I may try Cetaphil, not sure where to get it in the UK though, I know it is meant to be sold here but I've never seen it.

So you dont use a moisturiser in the morning? I use the oil free stuff but it is starting not to work, may see how it goes without. I got a recent bout of acne on one side of my face and have used sea salt scrubs at night and it has worked miracles!

Great vid: funniest line: 'So maybe it is wart remover!' haha:)

  • thankss this helped a lot xx

  • i have the same skin type as you, its rough! I just got the MAC microrefine scrub, and i find it works really well but i seem to break out everytime i use a scrub!! I know i need one though, and i use it about 2x a week, then use the MAC charged water to hydrate after. Do you have the same problem?? :)

  • i have the same probs as you and im 16 so hopefully if i can get my hands on some of this stuff it will help!! :D

  • i'll definitely listen to your recommandations :) I have exact same skin problems like you used to have!! Great review love it!!!

  • Im EXCITED for the part 2 night routine! :)

  • i love the mederma! i used it years ago when i got a scar from a car accident on my forehead and it totally worked. now that i have acne scarring i'm gonna go buy it again and use it :) thanks lorraine

  • is mederma reallllly getting rid of all your scarring lorraine? because I have scars on my hands & I realllllly neeed them to leave. :/

  • it does work. i had a scar on my hand from an clothes iron so my mom bought me mederma. it can be expensive but well worth it. just be patient but you will see a difference! best of luck

  • oh, I have many brown spots, maybe I will try the mederma cream. I have always wanted to try the mario pimple drying lotion but didn't know where to get it. I heard Ulta started to carry the brand. so exciting.

  • If you use the Clarisonic twice a day, everyday, you need to change the brush every 90 days.

You won't notice what a difference it makes until you use it again with the new one on. This is especially true if you use alcohol to clean the brush head as recommended.

  • is mederma better than scarzone? and do you think the clarisonic has played a big role in improving your skin?

  • can you do a detailed and in depth review on the clarisonic..? thanks Muah !

  • I'm a picker!!!!!! i am going to look for stinky lotion that you mentioned smell like wart cream at ulta, cuz i get those big cyst bumps before AND After my period. thanks

  • I've been trying to find Mederma, then I just found out today that it's only sold in the US =( Aw. But great video Lorraine! =D

  • Could you PALEASE do a hair color tutorial.

  • for some reason I always think you are english. And then I hear you speak and you have no accent ;) This is not meant to be offensive

  • im really oily around the nose and Tzone area but the rest of my face is kinda dry in winter. its so annoying lols

  • is there a difference between that and the blue mederma? the blue one isnt a lotion consistancy

  • i have the same skin type as you,

  • me too!!

  • me too.

  • Great video Lorraine! I have oily skin too, have you ever thought about using a toner? I find it is too harsh to use everyday but for times when I am feeling particularly oily, sometimes I will use a tone 3 days a week and it certainly helps.

  • I have the exact same skin issues so I will definitely try this all out!

  • aw Lorraine im glad to see you in such a good mood and Your skin does look amazing!

  • cetaphil was irritating for me because it dries out my skin like crazy but i have dry skin and everything dries me out

  • Great video Lorraine. you were clear and informative..you also appear much happier lately..keep smiling!!

  • My dermatologist told me to use Cetaphil only and not a ton of other products b/c I didn't need them. He told me to use the cleanser and moisturizer. I also use Retin-A for freckle lightening and so my skin is pretty sensitive. He also told me that diet plays a HUGE part of skin appearance. He told me to eliminate fried food and eliminate sugars like from soft drinks, etc...I can tell a big difference in just a month's time. Thanks for sharing your skincare tips!! Love watching your videos

  • yeah what you eat def makes a difference in your skin i ate a ton of butter in with my food and had the worst break out in my life! (thats what i get for eating junk lol)

  • i just bought mederma really exited to try it out... thanks Lorraine :)

  • i want to go try it out now too lol

  • you helped me! :)

im going to buy mederma! YAY

  • Great video Lorraine! We have the same type of skin so this really helped! :)

  • What I love about you is how you keep everything simple.... I remember watching a video of yours where you said how you use those little sponge applicators that comes with the shadows... so do I... I have brushes and use some for blending but I love the sponge applicators for applying the shadow, zero fallout!..... and just like when you showed how to contour your nose you just used I think it was the regular blush brush... that's what I do too... Love watching YOU!!!
