What a load of old rot. Badged receivers come off the same Chinese production lines and have a different casing badge and owner's manual. Go to China, you will be shocked to see things you recognised are just generic Ching Wong Electronics Chinese stuff.

The problem comes when you try to upgrade the firmware, which has to be done periodically. Some manufacturers like Openbox are putting time bombs that shut down the box if you try to firmware update a clone of their systems. Others simply won't accept the firmware so you are stuck and can't get new satellites and features.

X-factor is a good box.. For sure. Excellent SD box for the money. Only lacks DVR feature and Bev support in my opinion.

I was worried about the receiver I received since I was having so much trouble with it, but after plugging in my old receiver and seeing that it worked and getting other information I found that it is a good receiver, but found that it is original and just not the quality I expected.

Recivers from China,Turkey,Hungary even from Romania,works fine if you obtain technical details!Picture,sound is the same,comparing with the receivers with brands on them.Hit in Serbia are receivers with emulators so now you can programing receiver to watch scrambled channels,on your remote controler,for example DIGI tv.The prise of this receivers is about 50E,full sistem can be bought for 70-80 E!So,who will ever want receiver with brand on him?

I personally wouldn't want to receive a clone, because I want something which will last a long time and work great. I got mine from Sadoun Satellite Sales and my system works fine. I will be getting a different receiver later, but from a trusted company like them.

legitimate sellers collect taxes so their prices are higher, unlike the clone receiver is cheaper and no tax added to the price, after all, you still enjoy similar features...

That's why you can buy a CLONE PC CHEAPER, cause it's not a BRAND NAME, cause we all know, you pay higher prices for say, an HP COMPUTER than you would a no-name brand.

dude cone recievers really does work, i have mine for 3 years now, (dish network), after 2 years it crashed down, but the ame people that sold it to me gave me the solution and its working again......its been a year since that...and it works just fine,

Yeah, I was stupid enough to buy one of those clone receivers, hope it doesn't break down. It said FINAL SALE.

No wonder mine was sold at $60 canadian plus GST and PST tax.

If mine breaks down, I'm not buying anymore receivers for a year or 2.

its a lie a clone receiver work well like original both are made in china and exactly the same one is sold for 50 usd the other for 25 because importers earn too much money
