john mccain say he answers to the people but he is deaf to the people's voice in ther opinions of the war..he like bush doesnt think the american tax payers opinions matter when it comes to making descions involving the war... he rather prolonge a war that is crippling ecomony and considers it naive to be openminded to diplomacy-a more cheap non violent alternative stragedy..
thats funny.. i thought the democrats are the guys that raise taxes.. talking bout tax payer's opinion and matters!
listen, if u think that obama is gonna pull the plug out of Irak, just like that, u r very mistaken. there are many many people, in and out of the white house, even lobbyists of obama who want the war in irak to be a 'success'....
HMMM, a first term senator from shady chicago who surrounds himself by bigots and racist people for decades without realizing who they are(yeah right) or a seasoned senator who fought for our country. The choice is clear. Change? Ill tell you whats gonna change, 1. the amount of money the government will take(more taxes), the level of security this country will have(no exp on foreign policy), and the level of power the government (a lot More).
Right, and wait until the Neo Conservative Republican smear machine gets cranked up. Until the Democrats get as vicious about slander as the Karl "Sieg Heil" Roves and the Swiftboat Nazis have been in the past, they could not win even if they ran Jesus Christ himself. McCain is an idiot, but it wouldn't be the first time an idiot was elected President.
P.s. Im a Wet Back, both parents came from mexico About 25 years ago as well as my Numerous family memembers try to deport me shit my green card expired like 15 years ago.
The ONLY issue(s)McCain even alludes to being interested in pertains to Military..either how to START and/or KEEP a WAR going, and how to fuck Veterans!
I think Cenk is right and the proof will come out in the first debate. Obama is simply smarter than McCain is. McCain is a flip-flopper and really lacks knowledge, insight or wisdom on alot of key issues. McCain is especially not ready to deal with the economy in any shape, form or fashion and its gonna show real soon and then he's through.
I'm not sure any one person, President or not, can get us "out" it's going to take cooperation of a lot of people. But wanting to get out is a good first step ;)
Tuesday night, McCain spoke and sounded like a sad old man, and Obama spoke and sounded like a President. I can't believe people will examine these two people side by side between now and november, and choose anyone besides Obama.

Wow the motherfucker is a good speaker. So was hitler dumbass. That isn't a reason to vote for someone. If you prefer his policies, good for you, I can respect that. But if you like him because you like his voice that is not only borderline gay, but ignorant.
well it doesn't have to be borderline gay, because I am gay, as if that should matter about anything in 2008. And what I meant if you weren't just being combative, is that he has the skill to inspire the country to pull together to greatness, like JFK and MLK.
(I also like his policies over both the other major players, but you got a limited space on the comments.)
08AMA should win The President because he has GREAT VIEWS & BETTER JUDGEMENT.

John McCain is too old!!!! He couldn't even last through his first term!!!! LOL...what a joke McCain is. Come November I hope he pops out and says "Gotcha" cuz this is two kinds crazy
looks like your boy Obama, has a criminal investigation coming soon.
His Godfather/campaing chairman/next door neighbor "Rezco" has been found guilty of 16 out of 20 felonies. Looks like your boy Obama should be in prison right now. American corruption at it's finest.
Blookup, luckily you'll rest assured knowing that you will cast your vote for McCain, who owes his entire political career to a man who ripped off billions of dollars in tax payer money.
John McCain embraced the main who orchestrated savage attacks on his family, and we're supposed to believe he can protect America from our enemies? Just who does he think he's fooling?
Rest assured.... what the fuck are you rambling on about, you simple minded, knee jerk tv watcher.
I am a loud & proud supporter of the one and ONLY candidate for President. The best man for President since Jack Kennedy. Go lick your wounds and realize you don't know shit.
you know when a conservative has no arguemnt? when they start obsceneties and suggest anatamocial acts. (kind of like Cheney v. Leahy.)
you ask what the fuck am I rambling about, and then accuse ME of being a knee jerk TV watcher? I'll break it down to you in two words: CHARLES KEATING. Keating got McCain his Congress seat in 1982, and somehow McCain was the only one of the Keating Five to not leave his seat in disgrace.
but you don't know this because the press is in love with McCain!
I Support the most qualified person for the office of President of the United States.
He is a maverick, a scholar, a soldier that has proudly & bravely served his country. He is a hero to millions around the world. He loves his country more than he loves himself.
He has more real grassroots support than any one else. He also broke ALL records for one day political fundraising. $6 million in 24 hours. You might try some peroxide on those wounds
You've been watching too much TV. You get all your info from MSM ,which pampered MCCAIN since DEC 2007. Mccain is not even in touch with the american people or currents events, You need to watch the youtube videos where he is caught Lying multiple times. 100 years is not a policy. The United States will maintain its presence in the Middle East as a neccessity for its safety. McCain will win this on experience and not by using nice words that contradict his past(rev. wright).
We are voting for president, not American Idol. Don't just vote a person just because of his charm and manner. Clinton is right - we are hiring someone to do an important job. Is Obama qualified?
I know u guys would say: he's gonna unify the country, he's gonna criss-cross the aile to get bipartisan support....
wake up american young ppl. These are what he said, he never do it. His record in congress suggest that, he only votes along with the party line.
McCain as president means the Country hasn't moved in a positive direction for 12 years,if you want more of the same, you'll know what to do behind that Curtain. And if you DO Vote for him,buy stock in the military Body-bag companies... a Sure winner!
Cenk, give us an example of a "world changing event." And you underestimate the stupidity of the American voter. I wont' rule out a McSame victory until he concedes the election in November.
i believe the United States in Iraq is a good thing..but Bush is in Iraq to change a country's government. That is why Bush fucked up on the War on Terror, we're supposed to be killing American killing muslims
The young people are having prejudiced values against McCain. If Obama's young age doesn't affect his ability (despite little experience) then McCain's age shouldn't matter.
What I find funny about McCains age and other older polititions is These guys can run for office to RUN the country but if they tried to get any government job to work FOR the country they would be told that they are too old and past the mandatory retirement age.
Any IDIOTIC young people voting for McCain,I have a Piece of advice for you: do PLENTY of Sit-ups and Push-ups to get in shape for military Boot-camp. You HAVE to be a fucking MORON to think he WON'T bring back the Draft
and start WAR with at least 4 Muslim Nations.
The Guy presents a "Clear and Present Danger" to the American People!
john mccain is deaf to the people of america when it come to whether or not americans have a say in the war even though he says he answers to the people not the press,..and also.the press is a important part of the community..its people reporting to people whats going on in their world...john mccain measure the success in in iraq by combative strength not by political independence..john mccain trys to shadow his major role he has played in the bush administration with small talk..
its hard for me to imagine people who want more of the same crap that we are getting from the worst president in history. The only thing the republicans can do is sling mud because they cant beat the democrats on the issues and they know that. The democrats have a plan the republicans dont. John Mccain says he's pro economy in one of his ads. Who isn't? I like how no one cares about the 4,000+ troops who have died in bush's war. Support the troops! BRING THEM HOME! 100 more years of war?
You stupid, he is know as a Maverick because the medias like to call him like that, in fact he is just an old fool that will say anything he can to win. And yes McCain is like Bush, they are from the same party and both in favor of the war.
and who the fuck in the right mind would want a meverick for presidednt with the finger on the nuclear button, this guuy is dangerous, go see my vid about him and you'll see why (in part)
Ok ok so you're tellin me you would prefer someone with little experience as a leader of anything significant, besides his few years as a Senator, as the person with the finger on the nuclear button... right thats smart especially when he calls Iran the biggest threat to democracy... Look buy into his pretty speeches the truth will come out. Obama 08, the elistist/ racist= darkest era of america... the world would probably end.
nice wordage my friend. your really a gentleman. calling someone a retard thats mature. i don't appreciate that (sir) if i can even call you that, because I have a retarded brother. A maverick.....cooooool. Get educated. You my friend need a vocabulary if all you've got is retard and dumbass.
You actually need to do a lot of homework my friend. McCain hasn't gone against the Bush administration in any significant way since before the last election. He has played to the far right throughout this entire campaign going back on all of his 'maverick' positions. The record is there for all to see. You are living in a dream world...a sad scary little dreamworld.
the reason why I would trust Obama more than McCain (with the nuclear red button) is really simple, he has the wisdom that McCain doesn't have, namely refusing to support the war in 2002 when it was really hard to do so, now its easy to be against the war but back then.
I rest my case, McCain is clearly a old fool, I will laugh if he dies and the only republican left is Ron Paul!
The press is going to change he's right about that. The American press cares for ratings that's why they liked the long primary and went from HUGE bias for Obama before Iowa to bias for Clinton after Super Tuesday (Obama has led since then). But throwing mud at Obama won't be an interesting story this election he has already weathered so much these primaries. Now the John McCain= maverick no more, now THAT will be an interesting story. The only wild card is the Republican smear machine.
john mccain is deaf to the people of america when it come to whether or not americans have a say in the war even though he says he answers to the people not the press,..and also.the press is a important part of the community..its people reporting to people whats going on in their world...john mccain measure the success in in iraq by combative strength not by political independence..
cenk as smart as you are.you stıll dont get ıt.you actually thınk these anımals wont steal thıs electıon as they dıd for bush?hınt:ıt all starts when they say theır neck and neck.ıts over for obama.............unfortunately
2) The media's function is to portray the candidates as "balanced", the race as "close", in order to pull in the ratings. This has the side effect of creating a center-pointing force on public opinion.
3) The most people that will vote for their party regardless of what the media says is on the Repub side.
4) Bush won
5) Twice
6) A black man named Barack Hussein Obama is running for president of a racist country.
Bush won once. The Supreme Court GAVE him the election in 2000. Final analysis showed Gore would have won Florida if the votes had been counted. Aside from that though, you are spot-on. A good reminder, this race will not be a cakewalk for the Dems.
Hopefully the media will continue to portray the race as too close to call. If, as this guy says, Obama pulls away and the media reports that, some fence sitters won't come out to vote for Obama because they think he going to win anyway. Put that will bring more McCain voters because they know he needs it. Hopefully no surprises this fall.
God DAMN do I hope you're right... especially considering that I've heard that argument that "a world changing event could turn the tide of this race" and automatically I think of Iran. And yes I do that one think that, knowing what I know about the partisan politics of the Bush Administration, our government is willing to invade or bomb a country just to turn an election in the incumbent's favor.
It's sick, and it's wrong, but dammit it's likely.
That will not be likely. If the Bush Administration just simply bombs Iran this country will wee it for what it is and flood the other way. But the more likely scenerio is that something will be set up to give us the excuse to bomb Iran. And that's a problem because most Americans will not be able to see through that.
Well, that's kinda what I meant. I mean there's a whole propaganda campaign that takes place before the military action, just like with Iraq. They're gonna hype up how evil and dangerous the Iranian government is, then bomb them. But I do hope you're right about the public flooding left because of it instead of right. Fear is often a much stronger emotion than hope.
You guys do realize that you need, uh reasons rather than "people don't like mccain because he disagrees with what I believe."
I also love the assertions that "statistics show people disagree with 70% of everything he says" Really, everything? I mean I'd love to see those stats.
I'd hope that you are wrong, that people will vote on the issues.
But we'll see ehh?
I've actually started collecting predictions on Youtube about the election. At the end maybe I'll put together a little compilaton of all the wrong ones. Should be interesting.
LOL Cap that's what I told you the other day. The "center" is not some static middle between left and right. The center that wins you the election is the median of public opinion and Obama already occupies that center. The majority of people want out of Iraq, not in 5 years not in 100 years but asap. Obama leads on GI bill, diplomacy and Ahmadinejad (67%), gas tax holiday and once it comes to regulatory reform he will blow McCain out of the water. It's as simple as that. People want CHANGE!
Check out some other YoungTurks videos, they quote most of the statistics, but the data are out there anyway. The important thing is the trend that Obama is the public opinion leader and McCain is running behind. And McCain's other big problem is that the center has shifted to the left too far for him as a Republican to reach out and still keep his base.
There is also the fact that McCain wants to go into Iran. Who ever votes for McCain is voting for the further destruction of america. McCain is a double talking George W. Bush Puppet. The man has had more health problem then dick chaney, the man looks like he is ready to keal over and Die, what good would come from McCain as president. Someone please tell me.
They talk about now the media like McCain so much but if you look at the coverage of Obama the media just loves him to death there have even been members of the press that have said so. November is a long way off and Obama has a lot of hard question to answer between now and then that is if the media ever ask them.
dude you're a dumbass, Obama's so called "madrasa" was a secular public school much like our schools need to be, please filter the bullshit that is in your head
Doctor Phillip Butler is a 1961 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former light-attack carrier pilot. In 1965 he was shot down over North Vietnam where he spent eight years as a prisoner of war - 4.5 longer than McCain. He is a highly decorated combat veteran who was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legion of Merits, two Bronze Stars and two Purple Heart medals
He says McCain is bad news - Graduating 5 up from the bottom of a class of 800
Simply put, you're a racist and an idiot. If you don't like people who aren't 100% white and exactly like you, get out of America. In fact, get off this planet.
I am in unison with you Cenk. In fact, I'll take a bolder prediction. If all thing remain constant, Obama should garner a 10 point or higher margin against McCain by the end of July.
the big story is going to be the economy. i think everybody knows the only thing we can expect from the republicans will be even worse ripples in the economy, and people are actually literally panicky about the economy right now, and with good reason.
obama needs to hammer mccain on the economy and never let up.
Mccain is the biggest bumhole on the planet! I am not a dem for sure. I do'nt want to call myself a republican right now either. The party has turned from everything they are supposed to be. Obama wants to tax us to feed the world:0 Ron paul HELP!!!!!! He would be change. I have become a republican delegate just to try and stop Mccain. Do'nt hate republicans. Many of us are wondering how we ended up with that thing as the presumtive nominee. Voter fraud?
Obama has some weaknesses just as McCain... It's going to be a close race but I think Obama will win. It's hard to say what will happen from this time till the election.
I am WHITEY and you don't tell me what I will allow, you also not do throw one group of people into the same pot through closed minded generalizations.
and obama has really been doiing this nation good? bunch of fuckin retards open your fuckin eyes and look at the shape we are in! BECAUSE OF OBAMA

The young people are having prejudiced values against McCain. If Obama's young age doesn't affect his ability (despite little experience) then McCain's age shouldn't matter.
tedfreeway 3 years ago
What I find funny about McCains age and other older polititions is These guys can run for office to RUN the country but if they tried to get any government job to work FOR the country they would be told that they are too old and past the mandatory retirement age.

Any IDIOTIC young people voting for McCain,I have a Piece of advice for you: do PLENTY of Sit-ups and Push-ups to get in shape for military Boot-camp. You HAVE to be a fucking MORON to think he WON'T bring back the Draft
and start WAR with at least 4 Muslim Nations.

its hard for me to imagine people who want more of the same crap that we are getting from the worst president in history.

Obama 08, the elistist/ racist= darkest era of america... the world would probably end.
captbignick 3 years ago
nice wordage my friend. your really a gentleman. calling someone a retard thats mature. i don't appreciate that (sir) if i can even call you that, because I have a retarded brother. A maverick.....cooooool. Get educated. You my friend need a vocabulary if all you've got is retard and dumbass.
gorillaspwnu 3 years ago
You actually need to do a lot of homework my friend. McCain hasn't gone against the Bush administration in any significant way since before the last election. He has played to the far right throughout this entire campaign going back on all of his 'maverick' positions. The record is there for all to see. You are living in a dream world...a sad scary little dreamworld.
CityzenJane 3 years ago 2
the reason why I would trust Obama more than McCain (with the nuclear red button) is really simple, he has the wisdom that McCain doesn't have, namely refusing to support the war in 2002 when it was really hard to do so, now its easy to be against the war but back then.
I rest my case, McCain is clearly a old fool, I will laugh if he dies and the only republican left is Ron Paul!
Ron Paul for Obama's vice presidency!
LaMouleQuiCoule 3 years ago
Obama voted to fund the war, unlike Ron Paul who has stuck to his principles.

Obama won the party nomination, unlike Ron Paul, who only assembled a few thousand crazies to spam Youtube.
GretchenDawntreader 3 years ago
And that still doesn't change the fact that Obama probably won't get us out of iraq.
K2Tanner 3 years ago
The press is going to change he's right about that. The American press cares for ratings that's why they liked the long primary and went from HUGE bias for Obama before Iowa to bias for Clinton after Super Tuesday (Obama has led since then). But throwing mud at Obama won't be an interesting story this election he has already weathered so much these primaries. Now the John McCain= maverick no more, now THAT will be an interesting story. The only wild card is the Republican smear machine.

pantyfan302 3 years ago
Oh I hope you're right. I think you may be the best commentator around.
sharshur 3 years ago
Reasons not to count out McCain:
1) Elec. Coll. gives advantage to the Repubs
2) The media's function is to portray the candidates as "balanced", the race as "close", in order to pull in the ratings. This has the side effect of creating a center-pointing force on public opinion.
3) The most people that will vote for their party regardless of what the media says is on the Repub side.
4) Bush won
5) Twice
6) A black man named Barack Hussein Obama is running for president of a racist country.
funkalunatic 3 years ago
Bush won once. The Supreme Court GAVE him the election in 2000. Final analysis showed Gore would have won Florida if the votes had been counted. Aside from that though, you are spot-on. A good reminder, this race will not be a cakewalk for the Dems.
Wendy62 3 years ago
Hopefully the media will continue to portray the race as too close to call. If, as this guy says, Obama pulls away and the media reports that, some fence sitters won't come out to vote for Obama because they think he going to win anyway. Put that will bring more McCain voters because they know he needs it. Hopefully no surprises this fall.

Yet another good reason to vote for him.
TheAmazingAtheist 3 years ago 2
God DAMN do I hope you're right... especially considering that I've heard that argument that "a world changing event could turn the tide of this race" and automatically I think of Iran. And yes I do that one think that, knowing what I know about the partisan politics of the Bush Administration, our government is willing to invade or bomb a country just to turn an election in the incumbent's favor.
It's sick, and it's wrong, but dammit it's likely.
quixoto 3 years ago
That will not be likely. If the Bush Administration just simply bombs Iran this country will wee it for what it is and flood the other way. But the more likely scenerio is that something will be set up to give us the excuse to bomb Iran. And that's a problem because most Americans will not be able to see through that.
mickeysears 3 years ago
Well, that's kinda what I meant. I mean there's a whole propaganda campaign that takes place before the military action, just like with Iraq. They're gonna hype up how evil and dangerous the Iranian government is, then bomb them. But I do hope you're right about the public flooding left because of it instead of right. Fear is often a much stronger emotion than hope.

I'd hope that you are wrong, that people will vote on the issues.
But we'll see ehh?
I've actually started collecting predictions on Youtube about the election. At the end maybe I'll put together a little compilaton of all the wrong ones. Should be interesting.
PoliticalOverload 3 years ago
LOL Cap that's what I told you the other day. The "center" is not some static middle between left and right. The center that wins you the election is the median of public opinion and Obama already occupies that center. The majority of people want out of Iraq, not in 5 years not in 100 years but asap. Obama leads on GI bill, diplomacy and Ahmadinejad (67%), gas tax holiday and once it comes to regulatory reform he will blow McCain out of the water. It's as simple as that. People want CHANGE!
vertigate 3 years ago
Check out some other YoungTurks videos, they quote most of the statistics, but the data are out there anyway. The important thing is the trend that Obama is the public opinion leader and McCain is running behind. And McCain's other big problem is that the center has shifted to the left too far for him as a Republican to reach out and still keep his base.
vertigate 3 years ago

They talk about now the media like McCain so much but if you look at the coverage of Obama the media just loves him to death there have even been members of the press that have said so. November is a long way off and Obama has a lot of hard question to answer between now and then that is if the media ever ask them.

McCain is incredibly self-destructive
Doctor Phillip Butler is a 1961 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former light-attack carrier pilot. In 1965 he was shot down over North Vietnam where he spent eight years as a prisoner of war - 4.5 longer than McCain. He is a highly decorated combat veteran who was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legion of Merits, two Bronze Stars and two Purple Heart medals
He says McCain is bad news - Graduating 5 up from the bottom of a class of 800
