wait i take it back about cutting down all the trees. You can make pellets from grass. So a bucket of pellets and he can mow that yard and make pellets from the grass. Doesn't have to be a tree. I.m pretty sure theres more grass harvested than burned and the grass sucks the carbon dioxide back up when it grows. Maybe it is environmentaly sound. Just arguin both sides
Just wondering about the tar problem that the FEMA design is known for.
Do you think it would be addressed by placing a 1'' diameter steel pipe down the centre of the fuel column, to provide an unimpeded air flow to the oxidisation zone?
I am guessing this would raise the overall working temperature, and cause more of the tar to be converted into useable gas.
That's how I plan to enhance the one that I am building here :) .
@a10fjet yea then we can run out of trees. I guess thats the right direction.I thought when the oil was gone we'd be forced to do something different . Now i see weel just cut down every tree on the planet so bubba can get a hard on tailgaiting my ass in a hatchback. Sure that gus not got supressd gay represion?
@bryncomeaux HEMP PELLETS! WTF ARE YOU BLIND? HEMP HEMP HEMP ITS THE FUEL OF THE FUTURE, we dont need to fucking cut down trees like your pessimistic feeble mind comprehends. think outside the box for once?
@Slettej im not too sure, how ever i think it heated the wood to over 600C, allowing it just enough air to burn the coals but not the gas (flame), then the wood gas (hydrogen and carbon non-oxide) is burn in the engine
Outstanding demonstration. Think of all the wood that could have been recovered from Katrina and the forest fires of Calif., that could have been processed into producer gas.

How do you make the reactor heat up? I guess it's not by burning the wood since it shouldn't be oxygen in there... ?

Have yo trued to power your gazifier with some kinds of pellets ?
I cnow that its possible to make pellets from grass. 7,5 kw electro peletizer = 150 kg pelets per hour= this chinese peletizer cost 4000 usa $ ?
Just cut grass and burn it !?
