  • Dwarf hamsters especially my russian dwarf hamster are very territorial. I only got one and shes fairly nice, but she gets reallly cranky if you wake her up. :(

  • SO SHOULD I GET A DWARF HAMSTER OR SYRIAN HAMSTER???

  • QUESTION: i have two male dwarf hamsters and when i put them together, they fight. is this just because they're males? cause the hamsters in your video seem to be getting along perfectly.

  • So a dwarfie who is alone will be unhappy?

  • Im not making fun of the hamster or anything, but i was Laughing my head off when the hamster kin of stumbled at 1:15 .....n_n so cute!!!!

  • i got my dwarf hamster today mines called t bone

  • dwarf hamsters need large cages not small

  • So many hamsters kept in such i tiny cage?? :L

  • What kind of bedding is that? Saw dust? and more the better? Even dwarf hamsters are territorial animals. They don't function better in groups, it's just "okay" to have them in groups, although they still often fight to the death anyway.

  • whoa! look how much videos they made

  • they actually are not that good at families. Put 2 hamsters together and you got a shitload of problems.

  • these things suck as pets, there too aggressive and they bite

  • She's so stupid I got my dwarf hamster yesterday and I no more about it how do u no wat size cAge it's in

  • today i was looking for my hamster in bher cage (shes a dwarf hammy ) and i coulnt find her i was using her chew toy to move around er bedding and i tapped on her and she made a sqwaking noies is that bad ? idk if she was yawining ?

  • Why'd she seem afraid of the hamster? She took herhand outta the cage pretty quick haha

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE Expert Village. It's rarely accurate, often patronising, and always misleading. I don't know who the "experts" are. I can almost guarantee before I watch an "expert" village clip, it will make me angry due to its haughty attitude and know-all demeanor. These shits need to be exposed, ridiculed, chastised, and shut the fuck down.

  • I dont like Dwarfs,TeddyBarnSting-Kings are funner

  • I know more then you and I don't have a dwarf hamster gosh woman learn more before you post wrong information!!

  • She is so stupid and has no ideo what she is talking about so instead of saying syrian hamster which is bigger she says regular hamster what the heck is a regular hamster lol!

  • are they good for beginners?

  • a.if you dont have alot of room dosent mean you get a dwarf the cage size is going to be equivalent in size then its takeing up the same amount of space you idiot

    b. YOU PEOPLE ARE NO HELP SHORT USELESS VIDEOS who else agrees with me you people dont know about caring for a hamster at all

  • 1 of the top comments are mean i got a robo hamster at age 11 i mean taking care of hamsters is easy but i mean lower then 12 seems kinda of a high number. im 12 now my hamster isnt 1 yet but i mean i suggest people who are younger then 8 year old should not have hamster i mean thats more reasonable

  • actually touchthecrazy my 6 year old sister took care of a hamster better than a 20 year old.

  • i really wish she wouldn't pronounce it "hampster". considering shes filming for expert village, she doesnt sound (or look) very professional

  • I've had a hamster when I was 9 years old, but I know how to care for them.

Now I've got another hamster (Russian).

In this video the hamsters are together with other hamsters,

but if you know a littlebit of hamsters; you know that hamsters are not

    grouppets.

  • @MisAardbei But dwarf hamsters are... not the syrians though

  • omg i hav a russian dwarf hamster does it have a stripe down its back mine does her name is Snickers

  • dogs are the best pets and cats

  • @REDSKINS8923 very true, they give you more love but they are more hard to take care of :/

  • this girl loves her job

  • should i get just one, or maybe 2 or 3?

  • Where is the hamster food and water in that cage?!

  • i love expertvillage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it depends on the fhuckin hamster .. you never found them and researched all about them so fuck off and let her do her thing ..... wat if it woz you up there ?? having people say your fhuckin dumb you dont know all about them

  • she should pay attention to those lil' hamster's feeling.. putting them in group will make them fight together, or she has a bigger cage

  • russian dwarf , isnt that a robrovski hamster or an cambelli???

  • @TheAchoron Roborovski are even smaller than dwarf hamsters =P and they are very very fast!

  • our Dwarf hampster, fricking sucks.

He wont let us hold him. Nothing. He Bites.

Lol. I wont get one ever again.

  • @FUBEATRICE I am guessing you bought a hamster because you thought he was a toy. Well it isn't. My hamsters only bite if my hands smell of food, they think it is food and bite the fingers, that is really normal and they wont bite for any other reason except to defend themselves. Don't expect to squeeze the poor animal without harming it. Imagine yourself being held by a giant hamster poking you and crushing you while laughing.

  • How you can say that dwarf hamsters are social by nature? Actually they are Antisocial by nature, often cohabitation of 2 or more dwarf hamsters end with fighting and sometimes with death.

  • @drumbsd You are confusing dwarf hamsters with Syrian hamsters

  • @dannyskater No. I know exactly what I'm speaking about. Only roborowsky hamsters are a little social. But neither winterwhite or campbell are social.

  • @drumbsd I have had 9 dwarf hamsters in the same cage for a long time, I also had smaller numbers like 2 our 3 in smaller cages. I only had to separate a pair once because they did not got along but that is not the rule is the exception. I know many people who have many dwarf hamsters and they all will tell you the same. This is information is also documented in several books which I have read. So explain to me how all this is possible according to what you are saying?

  • @dannyskater 9 dwarf hamsters in the same cage?!?!? Poor hamsters...I hope you had a cage at least 300x300cm....little hamsters...:(

  • @drumbsd Don't exaggerate it was indeed a large cage or more like a castle lol, over 40x60x40 with tunels and stuff. 3 cubic meters is way too big. Anyway eventually I gave many of them because it was complicated to manage. During the time I had them ,which was a lot, they never fought and they usually liked to sleep together. But you did not explain yourself. I am not saying dwarf hamsters do not fight, they are like people they might not get along and that is not the rule.

  • @dannyskater 60x40 cages are suitable only for 1 dwarf hamster, 2 in case of cohabitaion. And you had keep 9 hamsters in one single 60x40 cage. Have you ever thought to put yourself in their shoes? I'm sorry that sellers of animals are the same all over the world.

  • @drumbsd It was a castle it had tunnels and several cages I am sorry that you have to take whatever I say and turn it into a bad thing, you only expect bad of everyone I guess. You are trying to mess with me and you are running away from initial point. All I said was dwarf hamsters get along very well so please mind your own business and your own life and go right to the point. What do I have to do with animal sellers anyway? I never sold mine, I gave them to friends.

  • @drumbsd Syrian hamsters on the other hand do not like to have company and most of the time they are aggressive when that happens. I have seen once a pair of males get along and was surprised by that fact, but in that case it really was an exception.

  • red wings suck this is so slow

  • red wings suck

  • i have one

  • looks tasty

  • I CANT BELIEVE IT ITS BEEN 3 YEARS SINCE ONE OF MY HAMMYS DIED it wuz a dwarf and i thought it died. i wasnt moving just frozen. then we waited a day and still dead so we buried her in a small plastic container with bedding. then i read on the net hammys do torpor some sort of hibernation like thing where some of their systems shut down for a few days. so then... MY HAMMY WUZ ALIVE BUT I KILLED HER BY SUFFOCATION UNDERGROUND T_T WHY

  • @sassytamagirl85 I did that to my Gerbil :( I feel your pain..

  • @sassytamagirl85 if their systems shut down they would die T_T

  • russian hamsters are vicious!

  • what type of bedding is that in the tank?

  • im thinking of buying a lonely one at my store just to give him a home and love

  • @LoudPrincessofChaos she is talking about dwarf hamsters which can be kept together! and they can have less space then a syrian... you are talking about syrians..

  • WOW! never heard so many WRONG facts about dwarf hamsters!

1: They need A LOT of space and a huge cage or fishtank

2: they're not recommendable for little children. Waking them up during daytime can damage their health

3: Never ever have more than 1 Hamster in a cage. Not even if they're siblings. Eventually they'll fight to death.

    Jesus. do your job!

  • @LoudPrincessofChaos dude u can have multiple hamsters, in a cage if not how do they breed? uh liitle kids sleep through anything.

  • Love dwarfs i have two females they are fantastic friendly and sporty .

  • all she said was that they are very small and babies and stuff ._.

    Yes we can tell they are very small =_=;

  • r those the ones who dont run away cuz i use to have a hamster and he was raninf=g away from his cage and im getting a new one so r they the ones who run away

  • i juggle hamsters in juggling balls check my channel muhahahahahahahhaa

  • Thanks!!! Look at mine please on my channel!

  • Uhm, the russian dwarfhamster cant be in groups, they kill each other. I got a smaller breeding of these hamsters, and they all do better and are being more happy when they live alone. One of mine was almost killed by her sister when they lived together.

  • @UchihaGiirl Yeah. I had two hamsters, sisters that were dwarfs, and one ate the other...

  • Do NOT get 2 or more hamster together even if you want babies... They like being alone as in the nature do they. They even can kill each other after 2-3 months! That house isn't good for them. Hamsters should sleep during the day in a DARK place, and come out at the evening...This women knows nothing about hamsters. She just want to sell more and more of them...

  • @ben88123 SYRIANS cant be in groups you can only have 1 but DWARF hamsters can be kept in groups

  • are all hamsters nocturnal?

  • @slylover88 ya they are so it is better to leave them to sleep in the morning

  • isnt this video supposed to be about "why hamsters make good pets?"

they totally do, but all you said was:

they are small and make good pets, yadadada over and over.

how 'bout givin' us some REAL reasons?

  • i have a syrian "teddy bear" hamster. actually, i have two...male and female. the female gave birth to two so we put the male in a separate cage but not long after a few days or maybe just 3, its babies died and i guess she ate them 'cause we can't find them anymore. Is it safe to put them in the same cage again? or not?

  • what kind of hamster is best to get? i had a syrian and now am getting another hamster. are syrain or dwarfs better?

  • my dwarf killed the other dwarf that i had in there, now i only have one, and im kinda scared of him cause he killed his brother!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey! you! that guy who wants to name his hamsters. if i didnyt know wether or not wat mine was going to be i would choose like dan, sam, daniel, fluffy, stinky, wobles and maybe even billy jam! best of wishes to you and your soon to be best friend! ps, im getting a hamster in like two days. and remember kids dont drink an drive... you'll spill your drink!

  • I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!! SOME SAY YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE ONE HAMSTER IN A CAGE BUT OTHERS SAY IT'S GOOD TO HAVE MORE!! OMG I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Sandring44 It depends on what kind. Teddy Bear/ Syrian hamsters need to live alone, they will fight to the death with other hamsters. Any kind of dwarf hamster (russian, roborovski, chinese, etc.) can live with other hamsters, they don't need to, but they can.

  • Hamster arend good fur kits because they sleep all day and woke up at night !!!

  • 1) no wheel.

    2) Hamster need big areas like 100x50cm cages.

    3) ALL Hamsters are loners.

    4) nnot enough litter.

    5) nowhere to hide(houses).

    6) Hamsters are nocturnal.

  • @Hamsterfreundin89

    3) Robos and campbellis should be kept in pairs, and winter whites can be kept, but they can sometimes fight.

  • @Aluqer That is just posibile, if the hamsters are sisters, mother and doughter, father and son or they are brothers..:/ and ist really not every time. its just sometimes. :/

  • I Am, Getting a Hamster Cage which is £25 it Comes with a Hamster. Cool! Right,? I need Help trying to give it a Boy and a Girl Name ( So a name which is for boys and Girls )

  • Hi Expert Village Can I buy 1 of Those Dwarf Hamsters Please...Contact or Suscribe Me and Answer Thanks

  • @TheAnimalAdvice

Not unless u move to Canada!

  • @musicluver2410 I am in Canada

  • Ta Bueno el video ah re qe igual no entendi un carajo lo qe decia la mina

  • i guess it would hurt her to act a little more enthusiastic, seriously.

  • @Sford0dude5 Ohhh, Okay

  • I used to have a dwarf hamster and it was nice and stuff but my sister had 1 and mine would poo like 4 times a minute and hers never pood in her hand. was that normal or not cus i kind of want another hamster but the poo was annoying i wouldnt even want to take it out of the cage sometimes cus i knew id get a bunch of poo pellets on my hand.

  • @Sford0dude5 Ohhh, Wait has your hamster ever bit you ??

  • @Sford0dude5 Wrong!! Did you have another gerbil to accompany that gerbil?? Didnt think so. They are social and at least need to be in a pair or else they will becme shy, agressive and die early..

  • my first hamster was a russion dwarf hamster his name was rokko i oved him alot then he died in his sleep

  • what is she talking about??? HAMSTERS ARE NOT MEANT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS!! No wonder she puts a pure plastic house in their cage! And your not meant to keep them in a group. Im sorry but this is terrible.

  • @TouchTheCrazy and your telling me you dont know a kid who has had a hamster as a kid get the fuck over it!

  • @TouchTheCrazy Kay so these are DWARF HAMSTERS. They HAVE to be kept in a group,

  • @TouchTheCrazy You're confused.

Dwarf hamsters are meant to be in groups, or with a pair.

You're thinking of syrian hamsters being together.. thats a huge no-no..

  • @JillnRe he isn't confused cuz these are russian or chinese and they better live solo ...

robo can live together... but russian and chinese cant, only if they are ''kids'' but when they go mature they WILL fight...

  • @TouchTheCrazy

she's talking about dwarf hamsters, not normal Syrian hamsters, and dwarf hamsters can be kept together

    so OWNED

  • @MrCalllum no thats not true..there is no hamster that can be kept together...point.

  • @TouchTheCrazy what r u talking about! shes a profetional and i love my hamster and im 11. r u a pro? no

  • @MsMinimoe some kids below age around your age can be twice as dumb as you are if you say your that smart growing up i was able to take care of hamsters fine but my freind killed several of his i even offered to take care of them instead. and i think touch the crazy is right about that dib shit women

  • @TouchTheCrazy I got my first hamster at age 9 and I did just fine.

  • i have a male dwarf hamster and i am thinking on getting a female for him.

If i do and i put it in is cage, will they fight??

    Any help anyone!?!?

  • @DrunkernBob if u put a female and a male hamster they wil fight to see whos the alpha male

  • @DrunkernBob yeah they will fight over territory

  • Our teacher had a dwarf hamster and it was FREAKING EVIL! It would attack you!

  • this is wrong they need a lot of place to feel well

  • Sorry, but what a shit! Thats all lies! hamsters (regular and dwarf) need big cages! In a small cage they aren't happy! And they only should be together, if they are sisters or brothers, otherwise they often kill each other! I'am really sad, that someone act an expert and tell all this lies to people, which don't know much about hamsters and believe, what this woman sais.

  • @Plopperidoo i think that also if the hamsters have just been in the same cage sense they were born that can work too right?

  • he chewed these bran new curtains to pieces he thought ohh nice that will do nicely to make my new bedding i will just pull that bran new curtain in the cage n have a little chew at this ohhh nice this will do lovely thank you.... he was tame as anything tho but i was fumming at him for doing that :o cheeky little sod... when i caught him tho he had pieces hanging out of his little chops n his whiskers twitching to luk inescent n paused wen i caught him... the little devil...

  • i think to be honest hamsters have diffrent charactors some can be more placid than others meaning they can be alot calmer others can be very boystrious one hamster i had i could of killed the little bugar i brought sum bran new curtains i put sammy at time on window ledge after half an hr come back up the stairs and the little sod had chewed these bran new curtains and half of the curtain was pulled in his cage all chewed up hanging out his little mouth the cheeky little devil :o

  • my daughter has got a hamster called ginger nuts but hes so nasty sumtimes he does bite i dont like him to be honest lol but all iv done today wen i cleaned him out was just lur him into his hamster ball n then put lid on him and let him have a roll around why i was cleaning out his cage .. hamster balls r very good idea i think and it gives em abit of excerise one hamster i used to have i put in ball every time i was cooking sumfin in oven he just used to go straight to the oven sniffing.lol

  • sumtimes dexter does have tamturms and bad days also good days if hes got a bag on i leave him to it but other days if fuss him n pet him he just crawls all over mei did have one hamster sammy who just used to lay on my chest n not move just wanted to be loved n petted all the time .charly just used to climb on my hand.. i think its all abut trust with them but dexter knows if he abuses my trust or trys n takes his tanturms out on his toys i do take em off him for being naughty sumtimes he knows

  • my hamster dexter was quite jumpy at first charly my other hamster was the same also when i first got them i find useing a empty toilet roll tube can help tho to handle them if he bites u now sum ppl might think this is crewl but iv read it sumwhere DO NOT SMACK THEM jus grab a pinch at back of ther neck so they cant attack u, i do it to dexter if he trys n bites n just pop him back in his fish tank but he knows if he does it he knows its a warning to him to say DONT DO THAT ... i wudnt hit him

  • @XlntoxicationalX it depends hunni bcuz if hes biting you it could be fact hes not been handled very much i surgest probs best way to handle him is try to lur him out with a piece of food or u could try a empty toilet roll tube and then once hes in that put him in an area he cant escape like a hamster pen or you could try him to come out of the toilet tube on ya lap or chest and then just gentley stroke him let him get used to ya smell he cud be just alittle frightened n adapting 2his new home

  • I have a russian dwarf hammy !

  • don't you clean the cage?

  • sum places might not encourage u to bred em tho.... n alot of places might surgest if u r going to keep em in a fish tank make sure u have plenty of toys for them and also chewys sticks which u can by at pet stalls hamsters i think like alot of love and attention my hamster at mo his name is dexter at first he was a untame little fello but now hes as tame as anything bless him the more u handle them the more tame they becum i think i only have to knock his little house n he soon pops out fr fuss

  • @kittylass1 how long dose to get tame i just got a hamster and he allways bites me

  • if u buy an hamster make sure they dont have wet tail fr god sake and in heathly condition iv found russian n chinese hamsters can be nasty my friend had one of those she cudnt handle it i was only one who cud handle it lucky becuse i know alot abut them i know what to do iv also bred em in past and did have 6 hamsters at one point n sell em as pocket money wen i was a kid but hey if anyone is gonna get a hamster n doesnt know nofin abut them i seriously surgest to get a book n read abut em...

  • chinese n russian hamsters r small compared to other hamsters!!! there r diffrent kinds of breds tho.. syrain hamsters white banded hamsters smoked pearl hamsters golden hamsters albino r diff... the cum in diffrent types of shapes sizes n diff colours depends on breed!!! :@)

  • take the fricking words off. -.-

  • this vid wasny helpful at all....o because its by expertvillage

  • BUY GERBILS !

  • I got a Russian Dwarf Hamster last week and its so cool

  • @omglolwatermelon me too ! :(

  • @omglolwatermelon me to..mine started to get real sluggish, one night i found him alive, real cold..so i tried to warm him up by the fire place but it failed..gave him a good burial.

  • @omglolwatermelon same here...happened last week :(

  • @omglolwatermelon they actually live for a bout 3-4 and buy a male and female and you probably always have some

  • Comment removed

  • Come wach my vids plzzzzzzz its my first one xx

  • But what KIND of Russian Dwarf? There's two different kinds.(Winter White or Campbell's) You got a Campbell's there, I think =P

    (Looks just like mine!)

  • Dwarf hamsters are VERY friendly! I have on named Rose, and I'll let her out of the cage, close the door and keep a close eye on her, and she walks around, but she usually heads for her cage and just climbs in.

  • dwarf hamsters need a big home...the cage should be 80x40x50 -.-

  • @MietzeohneKeksx3 Buying all of that and the hamster how much would that be??

  • @rocklee300000 buying a hamster and everything will be about $75-$150

  • i love hamsters but how the f(_)ck does this vid help at all?

  • @shellyisatwilightfan ..i know right lol

  • wow thats crazy im not eating one lol i love them

    your funny

  • deep fried dwarf hamsters taste real good

  • mmmmm I agree

  • My dwarf hamsters died yesterday.. A few hours before their death I was videoing them, and now all I have left is a 15 second clip.. It may sound pathetic, seeing as im 6 foot 2 and own a muscular physique, ive been crying all day. Seriously, I love these hamsters, even though I wont be getting any type of hamster ever again, i recommend the dwarf hamsters as they are such gorgeous little creatures.

  • I wish i had 1 boy hamster and 1 girl hamster because i have 2 boys :(

  • @xxHaleyproductionzxx No you don't, hamsters bread like wild fire. You would have far to many baby's to know what to do with and in the end you would have no way of getting rid/selling them. Plus is cruel on the female to force her to have baby's over and over again and would most like be the cause of a short and painful life for her.

  • @KoFDee Fine maybe your right -.-

  • @KoFDee actullay you may not be right i know hamsters very well cuz i study and read about them a lot so HA!

  • @xxHaleyproductionzxx

    A. Your 13....

    B. You don't "study" them, you have owned 2 male hamsters and you look on-line for info. That's called reading up, not studying.

    C. Please tell me how to stop hamsters from breeding. If you have found a way to stop a male and female hamster that are living together to stop breeding please tell because I would love to rescue guinea pigs but can't because I only have the room for females.

  • @KoFDee look i just watn wat i want its my life and i control it so dont reply on me saying no to breed hamsters gosh leave me alone!

  • @xxHaleyproductionzxx A very 13 year old statement for a 13 year old. It's not about YOU it's about the hamsters and THERE quality of life not yours. It's very selfish to thing about what you want over what's best for the animal.

  • @KoFDee oh and to seperate a male and a female from breeding is to talk to a doctor thats the best way!

  • @xxHaleyproductionzxx It's very risky to neuter a hamster and most vets will down right refuse to do it because it's so risky and putting unfair stress on the hamster.

  • @KoFDee Chill out, she's only thirteen! My goodness!

  • @toughntiny I know, first I was just passing on info to some one who I thought needed it. Then her whole attitude of "I can do when ever I want and I don't care about any thing else" got to me. I hate people who think that about animals and have no thought or consideration about the welfare of animals.

  • @KoFDee Very true...but the thing is when you make them feel bad, they'll do the opposite of what you advise them to :/ you know?

  • @toughntiny Yeah I understand we were all 13 once. But I'm just hoping She will at lest think about it now and not just go ahead with it.

  • ExpertVillage know nothing. About anything. True story.

  • Actually, I wouldn't reccomend keeping 2 sisters in the same cage because when My sister and I were younger we got 2 baby hamster sisters from a family friend and we kept them in the same cage for a bit. My sister's was the runt of the family and my hamster basically kept attacking my sister's so we had to separate them. Although, it could be different in other cases. My hamster just happened not to like her younger sister.

  • watch my videos by puffums new home and stunt puffums. please subscribe and comment. my bunny is so cute!

  • this woman has no idea...

  • go red wings!

  • wtf THEY ARE FUCKIN BARKING

  • wait iff u buy a dwarf hamster at like petco or sumthin will it come spaid (i would like a female) but like i want 2 but i dnt want them to have babies. i dnt kno if im going to get a girl and a boy or just two girls. please reply!

  • @xxBrownDogLoverr998x i would get a boy because girl hamsters can become territorial meaning they wont like it if you bother them unlike males who love to be handled!

  • @xxBrownDogLoverr998x well it is probably not a good idea to get two females because wen i got two females they were very territorial and ther killed each other.. :(

  • @xxBrownDogLoverr998x they should have them seperated buy gender or you shouldent get it thair because you mite get a pregnant hamster also its esey to tell boys from girls male hamsters have huge testicles...yull see them trust me

  • dwarfs i mean

  • NOO!!!

i hate dawrf hampsters!!! they are the worst!! iv had three throught mi childhood and all three were givin the proper care and all three bit me and they were realy mean. do your self a favor and get a teddy bear hampster or a panda bear hampster or a black bear hampster. they are much more calm and they have never bitten me,

  • @PJFIZZY not all dwarf are like that.....

    p.s its hamsters not hampsters

  • @PJFIZZY not to be mean but every hamster bites and they only bite you if they feel in danger plus sometimes they bite you as getting or know you or smelling you! dwarf hamsters love to be handled and maybe they bit you cause you did not take care of them properly ive had dwarf hamsters and there very friendly

  • Umm...no! They need a lot of space to run! Even more than a Syrain (spelling?) They need to be taken out of their cage a lot! And what on earth is a "Regular (is that spelled right?) Hamster"?

  • good video. go blackhawks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn....i installed firefox and it's stil not working..YOUTUBE! you better fix this quick!
