There is no set tempo for this song, as long it's played furious, like Beethoven did, so all of the tempo comments are stupid, and i think this person played with furiousity

I agree on the tempo issues but, I have to say the pianist did an excellent job. Keep working on balancing this piece with some dramatic tension between the runs. Look at some of the other videos for a reference point. Nice speed on the runs of the theme! Keep practicing. You're doing really well. I enjoyed your take on this.

errm i don't think so, it is played with sophistication and care not as fast as you can play it? every piece has a tempo and i think you'll find this cover is slightly out of tempo - right notes bad timing.

um no . the song IS written to play as you can , but with a steady tempo and good accuracy. did you even look at the sheet music for this piece ? if you did , its pretty sad how you didnt notice it saids ON THE PIECE , to play as fast as you can

this might be pretty sloppy but playing the piano is very hard especially if your doing it fast because i play the piano and thas pretty impressive except needs more practice ( tempo)

This is a very technically challenging piece, made more difficult by playing it too fast. Listen some of the great masters' interpretations, eg. Vladimir Horowitz. You will see that they are more leisurely with the tempo, and they use a bit of rubato with the exact timing at the end of phrases. You have much technical skill, but you need to slow down and put some feeling into the music. Music is not about racing to the finish line.

Yes, I gotta' agree he/she was kind of sloppy with the tempo, let me refrase that, very sloppy with the tempo. He abruptly changed the tempo too much, I mean If you cant play it all fast then play it at the slowest speed you have too, but at least get all the parts balanced.

@benziel I agree with you but you need to appreciate how the runs in the beginning/recurring theme sound nothing like they should if the tempo is too slow. I've had the same tempo problem myself, but it sounds horrid slow.

This has to be the worst performance of this piece I have ever heard. Not because of him (her, you never know) playing it too fast, but because it has obviously not been practice in a while or it hasn't been practiced enough. at times he seems to change tempo abruptly, and also he goes from key to key. I do not know how this is possible, wrong notes maybe? Anyway, people, If you wouldn't play it for an audience don't upload it onto youtube.

Whatever technical errors. EVERYONE makes tech mistakes playing this. The important thing is that you get some of the more subtle emotional phrasing right - parts that even many of the greatest players don't pick up on. Very well done. Like I said tech errors aside, one of the best interpretations I've heard.

try not to move as much as you do now in the beginning with your right hand. You also don't have a equal tempo throughout the whole piece. You play it better than some people on youtube!
