My father pad for 1 lesson and the man said, this kid doesn't need lessons. I can see it if you need to read music but you have to have a mind for it to be good. Buddy rich was good, Neil Pert is the best drummer there ever will be. Matt Biingslea is also a master at the craft. Drummers are a dime a dozen. Good ones are far and few inbetween.
