it shouldn't its just a cover. its no third party hardware or atempt to mod it. just say you accidently knocked something into it if they ask. besides, its just a very tiny peice of plastic.

Just tried it, the bottom part (or the right part depending how you are looking at it)comes off but the top (or left) doesnt and i am putting alot of force into it. Perhaps its because i have the new jasper unit?

I have the same problem. The right side pops off fine, but the side with the disc tray is still totally secured and there doesn't seem to be an easy slot for trying "the coin method" to open it. Not sure how to get that other side loose without breaking any tabs...
