  • My HTC Trophy says I've got 14 GB. Does that include 8 on the phone and 8 on the card? I'm planning on changing the screen in another trophy and thought about doing this, but if it doesn't boost the memory it would just be a waste of time.

  • @kayakinboy No it's not like a normal phone that has 8gb built in and an extra Sd card.. the SD card you replace is the phone memory.. So 16GB when formatted gives under 15GB and the phone uses about 1GB so your left with about about 14GB.

  • Does it also work with 32 Gb?

  • Thanks for the awesome video. Was thinking about sticking a 32 gig chip in, will definitely be doing it after seeing how easy it is.

  • Running perfect! Feels like it's even a bit faster but that's probably a placebo effect :]

I use this card: 32 GB MicroSD Card SDHC Class 4 Transcend

Thank again for your detailed tutorial..it made me decide to give it a shot.

  • @SjuuTuub Some say the newer SD cards have better read and write times thus better performance.

  • @lfc1903 that could be it. Everything still running smooth...but I noticed that having installed A LOT of apps (Hey..I have 32 gig now..why not install 50% of marketplace? :) it takes longer to install or update an app. It kinda waits at 50% some time before actually installing or updating. (I know that from the full install process the first 50% is the download part..and the last 50% is the actuall install process)

  • thanks for this video. I now have an 32gb HTC Trophy :-) I used an Transcend card

  • @SjuuTuub Great, thought it was possible..hows it's running?

  • @lfc1903 Runs perfect! Absolutely smooth ;)

I think all the well known brands (kingston, sandisk, transcend) class4 cards will work with wp7 mango.

  • hay guys i have htc trophy7 but im having problm on downloading stuff i think i need an id to download plzz help me how to sign in to htc so that i could download any thing if u have any link plz send me on afgun_king@live.com thank's

  • Does it void the warranty?

  • @KulucaMac1 yes, like i said in the Video you have to remove the warranty sticker on one of the screws, thus voiding your warranty.. Your phone your choice..

  • Just got mine today, US version on Verizon network. Mine comes with 16 GB installed but would like to see it go to 32 GB in the future. Thanks for the video you gave me hope for more storage in the near future.

  • Excellent, just what i wanted.

  • So how has the class 4 card been working for you? Any problems or slow downs you notice?

  • @PolecatReturns Yep been working fine for the last 3 days and had no problems what-so-ever..The card that came out of the phone was just a standard Sandisk class 4.. and the one i brought was the cheapest class 4 from a reputable seller on ebay.. cost me £15.. thinking of trying 32GB in the future.. regards Tony

  • @lfc1903 still working well?

  • @kamojamo Yep still going good, have seen several posts saying not to buy Sandisk Cards off ebay as most of them are fake and slow down the phone due to the slow read and write speeds.. but i went for a good quality non branded (choice only) SD card from an ebayer and must have got lucky.. tried benchmarking the card and it seems to be slightly faster than what most people say the Sandisk cards should be..

  • @lfc1903 Thanks for the details. Great vid too. Cheers mate.

  • @lfc1903 Does it void the warranty?

  • @kamojamo Yep, got windows mobile 7.5 update on now.. still very fast, and smooth.

  • thanks mate, great tutorial, i'll might pm you if i've some questions.
