While some of the principles explained aren't true anymore (such as shoulder dropping, this creates more power and in not considered an error anymore) the exercises can be used to practice what your ideal movement is.

Dipping the shoulder is a huge no no. I don't care who has taught you that. Want to know why your swing is inconsistent, see your shoulder dip.
