OK, I do agree with you that Gem and Noel work great together, specially in concerts like this, but Liam gave Oasis that attitude that made them so famous, that larger than life mentality without which Oasis would only have had half the appeal, to me at least. Liam is BY FAR not as talented as Noel, but Noel on his own isn't the real thing either. I think that they kind of needed each other. Noel would have made it one way or another but we would never have had Oasis.

I know it's a bit late but that's a Gibson j200 Studio cost around 2300 €. Hell of a guitar though, but truthfully if you're willing to spend that much on a guitar you might aswell go for a Gibson j200 standard, cost a bit more but you get the looks aswell as the sound ;)

Noel HAD heard it before. He borrowed the vocal melody for the verse, the phrasing, the middle eight change, the stabbing piano, and even the sound of the words from Innes. That's why they had to pay up. But in the end this is an all time classic. One of my favourite Oasis songs. This isn't the best live version, but I love it all the same.

My man Moel is amazing. Listen I know America doesn't produce many great artists of this musical genre. America does have some great college radio stations. I prefer English bands, but guys like Jack Johnson, The Black Crowes, Dave Matthews, Rivers Cuomo, have done a good job as song writers here in the States.
