  • or i could use technic pack

  • so what about mining the cobblestone after you run out of tnt

    just blow it up?

  • Now, instead of mining cobblestone, you can dig sand, kill creepers, craft TNT, and press a button!

  • 13 isnt really that good, especially consdering the tnt and redstone you need, because this would be survival otherwise youd spawn some.

  • @EquinoxAwesome ORR, dig into a mountain, You'd have to be the laziest perosn ever to spawn cobblestone

  • awesome now go and kill more creepers

  • K3

  • 13 cobblestone does not equate to the worth of 1 TNT, in my opinion. thats just me though so haha

  • cool but very inefficient. tnt destroys alot of blocks

  • 1block of TNT generates 13blocks of cobblestone

using TNT to farm costs 4 sand + 5 gunpowder

using axe to farm costs 1.5 wood or 0.6 cobblestone + 0.8 wood depending on material

overall I still prefer standing infront of a generator with a book on my mouse - or a macro ;)

  • i made EXACTLY the same half a year ago :D

  • its very uneffective lol

  • @jamilnielsen oh no, you mean inefficient. It's very effective, just not the brightest thing to do

  • tutorial?

  • Seth, if lava meets water it creates cobblestone, correct?

But if lava flows on top of water it creates smoothstone and smoothstone is faster to mine than cobble.

Plz make a tutorial on a smoothstone generator

  • This is very cool..

But the way I see it, practically... The cost it takes to make TNT is not worth 11 cobble. (He got 22 in the end and collected the drops from 2 TNT explosions) It is more cost efficient to sit there with a couple stone pickaxes and break the cobble yourself :P

  • @Razer1103 yes it is more efficient to mine then use the cobble generator but if u have a mob trap going at the same time you can get the gunpowder from creepers and get the sand urself to make the tnt. also it would help to have a long delay so u dont have to press the button

  • @itsMorzH Sand is a limited resource (nothing is really limited, because Minecraft worlds are larger than planet earth :P) anyways, sand is limited in an area, and I'd rather have some sand than slightly more cobble. But I'd also like to leave the sand on the beach or desert to keep the natural looks.. (I take an economic approach to Minecraft) I can easily set a macro to hold the mouse button down, and do the mining while I'm afk. Saves the work of building this machine too.

  • @Razer1103 this was when u could dupe items with pistons, so 1 tnt = infinite cobblestone

  • @Ninjasof42 Um.... no, look, he's using a second cobblestone generator to help push the TNT through, there is no duping.

    Look closer.

  • Would it be possible to use cobblestone generators on all four sides of the sheet to make it regenerate faster?

  • stop !!! just put there ghast

  • thats is fricken awesome!

  • make multiple layers of the cobble generator, and use repeaters to delay more layers of tnt to drop until the first layer has detonated, and it will yield a lot more cobble

  • How do you make a cobblestone generator I am looking for tutorials to help me in minecraft

  • @Sethbling Use a creeper farm

  • lol by the time youve actually built that you could have mined enough cobble to build anything haha

    cool build though

  • you should make the cobblestone layers into say a 3 ply sheet, with a hole in the sheets through the top two layers, causing the tnt to blow up more cobble,

  • Now, if only there was a way to generate more TNT blocks without some sort of mod like Buildcraft...

  • Too bad I cant make pistons in Skyblock D:

  • @N09357 you can if you use a whole ton of cobble to get to the mainland

  • Waste a bunch of tnt on 13 cob.....

  • 13 cobblestone? i loled soo darn hard"!!!

  • GENIUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And how are we gonna get the sand for the tnt?

  • @ketsh123 I reccomend investing in a shovel and finding a desert.

  • what if the water and lava make obsidian and doesn't break?

  • @MarkNie1 it wont since they are both moving. To make obsidian you need a non moving chunk of lava and water over it.(Works other way around too)

  • Try adding another cobblestone platform below and above the one that is there. This would mean that you would not have to wait so long before you could press the button and this would increase your yield.

  • I have a question..

Whenever the cobblestone is regenerating, how is the cobblestone creator (lava and water thing) knowing when to start and stop?

  • @fruitloop33344455555 The cobblestone generator is always going, but if the cobblestone sheet is full, the piston won't be able to push the generated cobblestone out, so lava and water won't create more cobblestone.

  • @sethbling I tried doing the same thing you did.. but I have one absolute question..

How do you automatically set power off and on without doing it manually?

  • @fruitloop33344455555 I used a clock. Look up clocks in the redstone section of the minecraft wiki for more information.

  • @fruitloop33344455555 if the blocks are up to 13 stacked, the pistens havent enough power to push :)

  • Nice idea but then you need a pick to destroy all the cobble that replaced the tnt.

  • What was the point with so many repeaters without delay? Just add 4 with delay lol

  • No pickaxes used?

    Minecraft has no meaning anymoar.

  • have you ever thought of installing the technic pack? i can see you coming up with some amazing stuff with that

  • How do you make that 9-1 clock thing?

  • pls the download link !!!

  • Could you get more out of it by adding multiple layers and using more then a single cobble source?

  • the platform is a little bit too wide.

  • so now you only need 1 tnt for 13 cobblestones ever minute! Very efficient :P

Before cheating the TNT you could just cheat the cobblestone

(its still a nice and creative design ;)

  • Download please. MCEdit schematic or world file. This is an awesome build. :D

  • @Gwingle You can download my entire single player world from the link in my channel sidebar.

  • @sethbling Okay, thanks! :)

  • @sethbling How often is your single player world download file updated?

  • @Gwingle I can't find the Cobblestone Generator! :(

  • cool

  • IKKJE BRA

  • On average, how long does it take you to make these?

  • @liampwnedu The vast majority of my creations are made in a single evening.

  • @sethbling Wow.

  • With Buildcraft and Better than Wolves this could be fully automatic, Buildcraft handling a mob trap, TNT assembly (Sand not included), and cobblestone sorting. Better than wolves can place the TNT. Then add the secondary timer and you only need a way to access loads of sand for the TNT.

  • I just subscribed!

  • Notch should add two really difficult substances to the game to allow us to form TNT

i.e. Lava plus water = cobble Something in normal world+ something in nether = TNT generator... Agree or disagree

  • @REECE2697

the problem is, you can craft tnt its not a natural substance.

  • can i please have your worldd!! thanks! XD IM LIKE DROOOOOLING.

  • Back in 1.7.2, I used the piston duplication glitch to multiply diamond so I could have a TNT drop range onto diamond-- into a water stream.

  • Omg I understand how to make that..

    My brain explodes

  • Where are the coordinates? I think you should really put coordinates in every video.

  • Backdate to 1.7.2 use piston duplication glitch to make fully automatic ooh yeah!

  • how do u get a big flat surface

  • @Dasbobobo MC edit

  • @MultiVenomer or reversed is obsidian

  • Is there any way on how one could hook up an easy TNT refill system?

  • err i think it is easier minning stone then killing that many creepers =)

  • youve just beaten minecraft

  • nice but one question

when you have a huge stack of tnt, what do you need a cobblestone dispenser for? xD

  • @Tha3l To push the TNT through the chain so that it reaches the ignition point.

  • you could make the plattform regenerate itslef from 2 sides to make it happen faster ;)

  • use a clockless cobblestone generator for higher efficiency

  • You could add more layers of cubble to increase the number of items.

  • When you refill the tnt, you have to mine the cobble stone in the tnt machine.

  • Wish there was a way to convert cobble to gravel, then gravel to sand.

  • What about if you did this when pistons were first implemented into the game and there was the block duplication bug, you could just have it make infinite tnt.

  • This is an awesome idea. You could even hook up multiple cobble generators to make it faster. 4 generators will make cobble faster than you can mine with diamond picks.

  • Sir, you have earned yourself one subscription.

  • DDDDDDDHOOOOOOOOWWWWNLLLLLOOOOOOOOAAAAAAADDDD

  • i made a efficient version this, on my mac. So no recording of it due to lack of freeware.

  • this is cool, but its so much easier to just mine cobble

  • Yeah, didn't have to do anything but push a button... and earn a degree in Minecraft Redstoning and build the whole contraption! Awesome machine! :D

  • Can we download your world?

  • @TheBuenoBear Yea you can, but there is no link to download.

  • @TheBuenoBear yes

  • @TheBuenoBear You can download the world at sethblings latest world!

just click teh video "Welcome Back, SethBling here" and look in the description

(i just hope you are one of those who do read it)

  • @TheBuenoBear "Can we download your MIND???"

    FTFY

  • Did your mom when she borned you, did she called you "Redstone"???

  • get a mob trap above, get a creepr seperator and drop the creepers onto it, stand where they can see you.

  • @robloxperson23 No, use a snow golem dispenser that make creeper explode !

  • @robloxperson23 you can't seperate creepers from other tall hostile mobs can you?

  • @mrBorkD it is posible to seperate crepers from just make all the mobs go into sunlight and the endermen and skeletons and zombies will die hope i was helpful

  • @MrNickmand that's not really seperating, but I already knew that. Thanks for reminding though

  • @mrBorkD You sir, have yet to have discovered EthosLab

  • @mrkps2 been a fan of him for long, I just forgot about the cook house there.

  • @mrBorkD kiershar could manually do it, but not automatically

  • @robloxperson23 and how would you get the filter?

  • @robloxperson23 Go search in youtube TheMinecraftMuse

  • hook up a clock!

  • Please ignore my last responce, the rest of the video was yet to load

  • You could replace the button with an repeating loop with a lot of repeaters. This means that the TNT will fall in set inervals, enough time for the cobblestone to be regenerated. You wouldn't even need to press a button, and makes it completely automatic

  • @JRMY974 with a few words: connect a clock!

  • Now to search 136 Comments to find Firebreathing16

  • @JRMY974 Go to 'View all comments' > CTRL + F > Type in FireBreathing16 > There you go!

  • I was thinking about building a prototype belt-fed TNT cannon and was worrying about the size of the backfill columns. You just solved it for me.

Bloody genius! So obvious in hindsight. :D

  • q I know it's kind of hard to ask you, but it has a good channel mt minecraft even, q is the dome and the troll of a look if you like it and sign up:

  • @TheRedMelon so*

  • @TheRedMelon tell me then HOW would that work? creepers dont explode on impact or get set off by redstone si creepers would not work. good idea though

  • How about instead of TNT, connect it to a mob system with creepers?

  • You know, if you replace that glass the waters on with ice, the drops will move a lot faster.

  • @LocoLogo95 He knows.

  • just saying, you should put at least 3 generators to speed up the process

  • sethbling forgets about a mob grider hooked up with creepers and snowmen

  • I made it too when the piston dupe glitch was in the game, it generated tnt and diamond blocks constantly.

  • Not bad idea, but cobble is not as nearly as worth as TNT.

  • @matejdro if u have a big mob trap its not really

  • very clever, i like it, but i wouldnt swap 5 gun powder for a few cobble, very good though

  • it can regenerate the cobblestone faster if you create an entire row of lava/water :P

  • Thank you! =) It looks complicating!

  • The cobblestone generator on the TNT line is clever. The sand method works, but you need a lot of height for it.

  • You mentioned something about a mob trap, are you referring to a creeper spawner? I think those don't even exist.

  • @PhantomsCoreX a mob trap is also a dark room for mobs to spawn in. n00b.

  • You guys are missing the point of this video. Sure it's not very practical but it's a really cool idea, and someone will see this video and come up with a more efficient, more compact version.

  • USE THE BLOCK UPDATE DETECTOR FOR THE PISTONS :D SO IT WONT GO ON TO EARLY OR TO LATE :D

  • And if you wuld drop it in a cave or a box, the next TNT would destroy the cobble generated by the last explotion. but 2 layers may improve efficency, might also test that after shool

  • I will post a video reply after school, used xSkullNinja's idéa and made a high-efficient full auto machine (well, you need to reload, but you culd extend the "clip" size.)

  • this is probably better if u drop in a huge cave =)

  • this is probably more effecient if you make a cobble box where the tnt falls in

  • Looks interesting...mhm....thanx for sharing;-)

  • TO MAKE IT FASTER, PUT IN TWO COBBLESTONE GENERATORS, ONE ON EITHER SIDE!!! :D

  • What screen recorder do you use?

  • World link?

  • @sethbling what about adding multiple cobble generator "pads", that could allow for more cobble being collected, allso each "pad" could have 2 generators

  • put some ice under the water. the items move much faster!

  • beachedhippopotomas or however you spell that, already did this with diamond blocks while there was the piston duplication bug. Still good idea, but it's been done sry

  • Well, you could mawke a sand generator and make a mob spawner.

That would give you all you need to make the tnt.

  • I think it would just be better to have just the cobble generater and a couple of pickaxes

  • Try using more layers... Have a piston going up and make it stop at three or so layers.

  • If you spam a block with a piston doesn't it break? Because that could be a fully automatic generator.

  • Please please please update your redstone map I'd love that sooooooo much copy and paste too all new bids so he can see

  • I tried this but failed:

    I made a cobblestone generator that made a 3 by 3 by 3 cube

but with a tnt in the middle, then I detonated it, and got exactly 26 pieces of cobblestone.

    You should try it!

  • 2 things to make it more efficient:

    1. Make more than one cobblestone generator, maybe like a whole row so it can regenerate faster.

    2. Make 2 layers of cobblestone, so that the tnt has more to blow up.

  • Actually, this would be insanely useful for me. I can obtain all this stuff easily, but I need a lot more cobblestone than I needed to use to make all that. So this is one person it's useful for :)

  • Your brain never stops! xD

  • That's amazing

  • Just a small tip, if you are using sandstone in the construction dont use it as ground, it kinda blends in. Just a minor tip.

  • Please use ice instead of glass.

It makes the cobble go to the collection point fster.

  • Make it double or triple or 4 layers thick!!!! I tested it out I think it can work. Thumbs up I want him to see it!

  • SETH BLING HELLO

  • I feel like placing the tnt yourself would be easier, and the function of being able to set it up on a clock isn't worth the effort of building it. But I like having cool things built in my worlds, and this is definitely cool.

  • This has been done before with the piston block duplicating glitch to generate things other than cobble, as well as to refill the TNT. This is pretty... useless, like everyone else has said.

  • You could also put a few more layers of cobble under the main sheet to increase your cobble per TNT yield. Add cobble with slits in the middle where the TNT falls so it destroys some upwards as well. However, putting cobble layers underneath could lose some cobble that got caught on the edge.

  • Didn't have to do any thing but push a button. ಠ_ಠ

  • you took that from beachedhipotomus and his mined diamond

  • @AandBbrothers Well, there are two principles in common with the two machines:

    1. TNT breaks and drops items from blocks

    2. An infinite source of blocks fuels the material source.

The difference between the two, is that this one needs reloading. I could see a process of thought that doesn't copy BH, quite easily indeed. Any other block can be harvested with TNT, you just have some loss. Preferably, you use infinite sources. Combine with a piston tree farm :D !

  • @CrazyLemon64 true

  • If you put another coble generator on the other side of the "bridge" then it would regenerate twice as fast...

  • you sre ill XD

  • AHHH i made this befor this vid that makes me a geunius :D

  • Not very effective, but very neat. Unfortunately, like everyone else is saying, the practicality of this is highly low. With almost all the pickaxes I could mine 13 cobblestone in the time it'd take this cobblestone to reach you. It's nice in concept, though it might work better if TNT was able to drop all the blocks it blows up instead of just....I believe it was 30%?

  • Ok what if you just took the TNT and blew it up underground? :P more cobblestone that way :P

Sorry I just dont think cobblestone is useful enough to build a giant mess like that

  • Hey Seth, you should try implementing a Clockless Cobblestone Generator for the cobble layer :)
