How do you know what weight and shapes will work to create something like this? How long would this kind of piece have taken from concept to finish?

@davcroy Do you use ball bearings for these amazing creations or just some really loose fitting metal pins?

@MrKaddan. This was one of my first pieces with all ball bearings. I tried a variety of sleeves but stainless ball bearings work best.

@davcroy How big are your ball bearings? I got inspired by you building some very simple moving creations, and I just searched my parts bin for some bearings.. I found some 3 mm ones. Seem to work just fine, spins for minutes
