Sucks that McSorley did this. Doesn't matter to me though, he was one of the better all around defenseman in the early days of his career. Can hit, fight, pass, score, fight.

apparently a member of public reported this assault with deadly weapon to police. the police apparently arrested mcsorley afterwards. does anyone know was he accompanied by a lawyor and if so who?

@Cjahbalah its not a case of one man says xyz to another. there was anb incident before the fight were brashear struck mcsorley with his elbow of the puck, and this went unnoticed by the referees

Please, I've seen worse, much worse in the NHL. There was a guy the following year who got slashed even worse than Brashear did, and the guy who did it got off easy compared to McSorley. What Marty did was wrong, but it was far from the worst slashing incident I've seen
