You're going to tear your rotator cuff with that elbow. You may want to move your arm first and then your body. The body will power the strike when it's behind, not if it's in front. Don't get your face closer to his attack. Also, you may want to hit with the point of your elbow angled in such a way that you do not hit your funny bone. The "sweet spot" you're talking about is not where you think it is. Give it a shot and see what you think.
Yeah im impress with your boxing skills, there are lots of martial arts that don't use emphasis on punching range. I been boxing since 16 to 22 I just expanded to kicking range. I taken some jkd classes for a brief moment and I love it, but its kind of confusing the way its been taught. I want to learn one one thing at a time. Once I have kicking down I want to come back to jkd.
ooh these kind of videos remind me of when I did martial arts in high school, it was erotic to be kicked and dominated by women, I loved feeling their power :) I would be way too shy to say this to addy in real life though...
You always have to remember to practice because you are suppose to breath out with every strike so if you dont practice you can become winded easily and get tired or even k.o. which is definately gud during fighting. Im a 13 year old dude but i can take on a 20 year old with these tactics ive learned, combined with cqc tactics ive learned from my cousin in the army and cqb tactics learned online
I've done a bit of muay thai, in that spirit it's fun to seek out very hard objects to strike. Carefully inspecting my bruises I've come to conclude upon which methods are most effective. This is only my opinion however I have based it upon hard surface strikes. I've found that both power and resiliancy are more apparent when elbow strikes are done with the palm facing the body. The palm down forces the ulna to project from the elbow creating a high potential for self injury.
The hook punch and hook elbow do both follow the same path; it's just a matter of proximity. I'd say it's the same for an uppercut punch and an uppercut elbow. Addy did make a good point about how the elbow shot should be thrown horizontally, so that it retains full power. If the elbow bone itself hits the opponent in the chest, say at the sternum, that is one sharp bone making contact. With the turn of the hips and perhaps rotating on the ball of the foot, it must hit like a hammer.
if you read this you die tonight. There was guy named james who was told if you say bloody mary three times in the dark in a bathroom you die. So he tried it he was found dead a hour later in the bathroom. Post on 5 other videos or die
If you notice, it's not a lean but a pivot with the right foot to open up the hips for more power. A boxer will never leave their punches out long enough to have them pulled.
@kifighting i am absolutely agree having trained in shadowless martial-arts like wing chun and also shoulder moving systems like western boxing and muay thay for years i can conform that it is almost impossible to pull the arms of a good boxer.
way to hot girl to think about training..

"CLAW"?
Is she serious?
How about "bite to the main artery"? that would work!
Humans are not tigers and should not rely on "CLAWING"

Fingernails have got to be one of the worst natural weapons.
The hard enamel of your teeth are far more effective.
Would you rather fight with a steel knife or a rubber knife?

@byronjade1 Thanks! :-) Try doing that elbow with at knife too. If you do it with your palm down... well let's just say you'll wish you hadn't. :-p

Can't the mechanics of those punches (the lean especially) lend you to possibly being pulled by the opponent?
