@repn87 "Whore look"? Odile is not a "whore", so why would she have to act like one? I know you are a huge fan of Tamara (as you reply to eveyone's comments and won't let anybody say anything negative about her), but you've got to admit she's almost expressionless here. You can tell she's not trying too hard.
Precioosooo, Braba por todos eso piques o arabesque o por ese magnifico equilibrio en arabesque con los brazos en quintaa, has estado espectacularr! Besotes de una chica que quiere llegar a ser como tú!
She is so boring. She even looks bored. where is her passion and heart and emotion? And this role takes acting or at least an effort to act. Watch Marianela Nunez’s interpretation. This proves that having great technique doesn't make a true ballerina.
But best use of a mowhawk in a classical ballet? YES.
She is sooooo boooooring to watch in this role. She even looks bored…. where’s her passion and heart? And this role takes acting or at least an effort to act. Sure her technique is lovely but there are reasons why every woman with great technique isn't a prima ballerina. Watch Marianela Nunez’s interpretation.

@skattynatty8 She holds it for a long time, but it's quite a low arabesque. Watch the Nunez/Soares version, Marianela holds it for almost as long, but it's a much more beautiful position.
there's a bit of coldness in this. i don't see chemistry between the two. sorry, but if you would compare this with nunez-soares version, this got to be not to that level.
martha Graham once said "When you are bored, you're boring!" I think of that line every time I see her dance. It really doesn't matter if you have all the facility in the world. BORING IS BORING.
@jeanemail7 Unfortunately, I must agree. The whole thing seems a tad too slow with too much "negative space' (long pauses with nothing happening). The technique is perfect, but the aritstry just isn't there. View one of Maya Plisetskaya's performances for comparision.
I love them both... they are absolutely amazing, she is soooo talented and I love to see the joy of dancing on him, he remembers me of something Bujones said, you should dance if you feel the urge to do it... and I think that is Acosta´s case... loved this pas de deux and this is the first time I see a mohawk on a Swan Lake =)...
First rate dancing as weve come to expect from these two giants of the dance; however, what's with the "punk" von Rothbart? A little contrived, I feel. He seems jarringly out of place in what appears, by all accounts, to be a traditional staging. From Covent Garden to CBGBs without changing outfits.

The costumes are weird. It's 3 differents era in one scene. And this perfomance by Tamara was very boring.
