Gas mileage on Mustangs varies big time. I heard a story of a guy with a '66 6cyl/Auto and he said he only got 10MPGs. My '69 conv with a 302/4spd got 20MPG all day long.

I restored a '66 like this and I put about $15,000 in it, including paint, the cost of the car, ad some pretty big body work.

First of all...yes, its an automatic. I'm working on changing it over to a 4-spd right now though (HUGE PROJECT!).

you might as well just put a T-5 in it, thats what i'm doing. It is basically the same amount of work and you get more performance and gas milage on the highway
