Skydivers chute DID open, but obviously there was a malfunction. Skydiver should have cut away but sometimes when there are tight twists it is not possible. I think his head has been forced forward by the twists because he does not look up at his canopy which is the first thing you do when opening. That was a big bang...

Did you notice the shadow of his chute (chutes ?) a few seconds before he hits ? Looks like his main and reserve were tangled.

@nerblebun it was.. I've just seen a video with the exact same skydiver in the news where he tells what happend etc.
