harmonix made guitar hero 1/2 with red octane, then sold the company to activision and moved on to make rockband. im not a harmonix fanboy or anything but i would have to say that activision is just fishing ideas from harmonix because they want to stay in the race.
Well if you think about it, Guitar hero had the whole thing going first, then Rockband improved it with the drums and mike, So guitar hero just improved that with nicer drums and a way better guitar. So basically it's two franchises building upon each other not stealing ideas.
This is not stealing from rockband. this is just another band game whats wrong with that? guitar hero wanted to make guitar hero games better by adding drums and a microphone. if you ask me rockband is stealing from GH Harmonix used to work with the GH company and they knew about he world tour so they pretty much stole it from GH

You cannot upload songs in any form into the song creator. You basically use the 5 button guitar to trigger samples with a switch to change the pitch. Think about it. It's like that Southpark episode when the guy plays accoustically. It's not going to be easy and 99.9999999% of the people using it will not be able to come up with anything even half decent. The other 0.0000001% will make their own clones of Dragonforce.
You do realize they hired the worlds best drummers to not only test the drums, but to give input ton how they could make them feel more like a real drums.
