  • Great analogy at the end! Appreciate this video a lot.

  • Your analogy at the end of the video leaves out a very important aspect. There is a reason that wars are being fought. You cannot bring the troops home until the objective is acheived. Sure everybody wants to let the kid in out of the cold instead of giving him a heavier jacket, but what if he is out in the cold fixing the heating unit that is broken so you can have heat in the house? Do you bring him in out of the cold then? No. You fix the heating unit, then bring him in.

  • @kaiserklan If you asked America in 2003 if we should go to war, but the Republican Guard in Iraq was gone, Saddam was dead, Osama was dead, and their were no WMD's, do you think anyone would have said yes? You talk about finishing the mission, but they just keep changing the mission. Nobody even knows what victory looks like, because we haven't even declared a war. The "mission" was accomplished in 2003 when I was still there. We defeated the regime and made sure their were no WMD's.

  • The mission is done, but the politicians keep inventing new reasons to be there. Everyone who committed or planned 9/11 is dead or captured, yet we are still in Afghanistan. Osama wasnt' even in Afghanistan for the last 10 years. He is dead, but we are still there also. Then we went in to Libya, now we will go to Syria, all the while replacing old regimes, with more radical new regimes, and making more trouble for ourselves in the future. To what end? So we can send your son's son later on?

  • America's sons and daughters aren't outside fixing the heater, they fixed it. Now they are just milling around being targets for those who hate us, and creating more enemies by being involved in places they have no business. This will undoubtedly create more terrorism in the future. Just look at the past, we overthrew the Iranian Prime Minister in 1953 and installed the Shah who brutilized his people. Then we supported Saddam when he went to war with Iran in the 1980's.

  • The Iranian people tried to revolt against their government two years ago but just didnt' have enough steam, now that we are putting sanctions on them and starving their citizens, they will becomes united against us and beg their evil government for protection. If we'd left them alone, they'd still be gathering support for a revolution, but we went and hurt their citizens with our sanctions, thus uniting them behind the government they once wanted to overthrow.

  • @kaiserklan If we'd have left Iran alone since 1953, they would have never allowed such crazy people like Akminutjob to come to power, and if by chance he did, Iran would have overthrown him already, just like the Egyptians did. Instead, we push and push and install regimes when we want, and create chaos. Imagine if Mexico had assasinated Kennedy in 1963, and then gave Iraq weapons to use against us in 1990.

  • My son is in the Marines and would not want anybody, especially a fellow Marine, tell people to not support the troops. Your credibility to speak to the evils of war, the need to bring our troops home, and the corrupt agenda of politicians is valid, but that is where your credibility stops. When you start talking about not supporting the troops and that our troops do not need care packages and "enablers, and safer protective equipment and more powerful weapons, your credibility is gone.

  • You are WRONG, WRONG WRONG, about our troops wanting better weapons and protective gear to fight with. As long as they are going to be in a war zone, they will want and need these things. I do not disagree that they want to come home and we should be working to get them home. But as along as there are tyrants and as long as the USA is in a position to help those that are victimized by tyrants, we have a responsibility to help those that need help.

  • "As long as they are going to be in a war zone". That's like saying I want the best scuba gear, as long as you are going to force me to explore the ocean floor. There is no reason for it, I don't want to do it, and I don't want there to be any argument about what sort of equipment I need. I don't want the equipment, I don't want to go scuba diving in the first place. I see no need for it. If you're going to send me, then yes I want the equipment, but I don't want to be sent in the first place.

  • First of all, your message would be better accepted and would sound more intelligent if you would not use curse words. Secondly, all of this "blind patriotism" that you speak of, that leads to support of the candidates that want to leave our troops in harms way, is not indicative of the majority of those of us who support the troops. Just because you did not receive care packages while you were in, does not mean that you should deny the ones that are in now from getting them.

  • @kaiserklan First off, thanks for the respectful disagreement. As much as I like all the Ron Paul supporters here giving me kind words of approval, I really enjoy debate more. With that said, I view profanity as a valuable way to enhance an emotional situation. I'm not a religious person and have no moral opposition to profanity, so in the context of speaking about an emotionally charged topic such as this, I feel a little profanity is appropriate, especially for a Marine.

  • respect to you brother, speak out well done.

  • @pthompson2010 It is never the youth of our country that we are to blame that serve our nation blindly, instead we should focus on the mindless politicians that send our Sons and Daughters off to conflict, even though it seems to have no effect. I'm a veteran and I was lured into the Military Industrial Complex also. Our elders are to blame for not being courageous and standing up for what is right and for not speaking against unjust wars. America has become corrupt and is on the brink.

  • i wouldnt say dont "support" but i would say dont ENABLE

  • Good boy, you can read off a card. Here's my advice; eat shit and die.

  • @DrDerpwerth I'd be excited for you to expand on that. What exactly do you disagree with about what I said?

  • @pthompson2010 Everything, because it's all pointless and shit. Humans dying is a good thing, who the fuck cares.

  • This video is well informed, well presented, coming from an educated and experienced individual, and credit should be given where its due. Thank you for being real man, and keep speaking out and educating those who aren't aware of the actuality of the status quo regarding foreign policy. And to everyone who supports Ron Paul, keep your eye open for voter fraud, and never be afraid to speak your mind.

  • YOU Sir, have just given me crown of the head to soles of the feet GOOSE BUMPS. I salute you, and hope many men and women will wake up, as you surely have. Thank you!!!

  • We need more people to speak up.Well done.

  • The analogy at the end was deep.

  • These wars are fought for Jews.

  • @Friedstuffsab Many of the people involved in these endless wars are Jewish, bankers, CEO's leaders of global organizations such as the IMF, etc. But let's say all those people were black, would you ever say "These wars are fought for blacks."? I would hope not because there are millions of blacks who would have had nothing to do with it and that statement would come off very racist. For every Jew who shares fault in this debacle, millions have nothing to do with it.

  • @pthompson2010 Wolfowitz really wanted to sell the Iraq war & phony WMD "Mobile Bio Labs" Israel & Zionists have a strangle hold on our entire system. The media, politics, & the economy. Ben 'Shalom' Bernanke running his private bank (the federal reserve) & disguising it as a public collective. These Jews, even non practicing Jews feel they are from an elite bloodline, they will do ANYTHING if it benefits Israel. Look what they are doing to push us into a conflict with Iran.

  • @Friedstuffsable I wouldn't argue those point with you at all, but those are individuals, and for every bit of evidence you can find implicating our wars being about helping Israel, you can also find us selling weapons to UAE, Saudi Arabia, giving money to every other country around Israel, and doing many things that don't benefit Israel. Aside from our foreign policy not even being cohesive, just saying "Jews" like its all of them is shortchanging the problem I think.

  • @Friedstuffsable most zionists are Christian, not Jewish...square that...

  • @preparadox Um.. No. Back up your bullshit. Square that dickie.

  • @pthompson2010 100% correct

  • @Friedstuffsable For instance, how many white Christian presidents, military commanders, bankers, members of the UN, etc, have had a role in the global war mongering for the last 50 years? Quite a few. Would it be accurate to say, "this war is fought for white Christians males"? Hell no, because for every white chirstian male who has been part of this, millions had nothing to do with it.

  • @pthompson2010 The guy you're arguing with is a neo nazi. I love Ron Paul but friedstuffsable kind of rhetoric troubles/scares me. How can you be a libertarian when you want to destroy (proabably physically) one group. Also look at the guys he looks up to - Peter Schiff, Ayn Rand, Ludwig Von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Milton Friedman - all Jewish.

  • @smokinranger8 Ayn Rand isn't Jewish, she was atheist. Being of Jewish ancestry is much different than being Jewish. But I get your point.

  • @pthompson2010 Jewish is a race. Look at Taysachs.

  • @smokinranger8 I am Not a Randian, & I despise peter Schiff. Not really a Ron Paul Supporter either, you affiliate me with ideologies that I do not have. Rand was a Psychotic selfish sociopath who got off on cheating on her husband right in front of him. Schiff is a Randian himself, advocating zero regulations, zero social programs, every man for himself. I didn't mention a single one of those Jews as someone I admire. You are a Liar, & you make unreasonable presumptions.

  • @Friedstuffsable Worse these wars are fought because our Military Industrial Complex profits from wars and they control most our government and on both parties.

  • @wheresmyhoneybytch That is true. Lockheed makes nearly 70% of their profit off of military contracts. Lockheed makes $39-50 Billion a year. Lockheed can use any amount of that money to give to out politicians they want. They call it lobbying, but really it is institutionalized bribery. They can toss money at those who decide when, where, & how long this nation is involved in conflicts. (& that is just One company) Outlaw the bribery = An end to the conflict of interests.

  • @wheresmyhoneybytch 45 Billion Revenue. I mean, Not yearly salary.

  • @Friedstuffsable Your commenting on this video lead me to believe you're a fan of Ron Paul or at least his fp. I noted that Ron Paul (and his son/friends) are major fans of Jews.

Your comment is racist pure and simple. I don't care who you are, christian, black, muslim, asian w/e. If I wanted I could - group you with the worst -and imply we need to rid the earth of your kind and kill you and your family.

That attitude is what needs to be squashed/destroyed pure and simple. It is false.

  • @smokinranger8 I'm not really a Paul Supporter. I actually don't really like all of those people you listed, especially Ayn Rand. I despise her, & her Selfish Virtue fan boys & girls. I'm not saying we should "Kill Jews" I'm saying we should make note of their pro Israeli ulterior motives. Most of them in the U.S. gov, care more about Israel than they do the U.S. They are only here to use a powerful nation to benefit/protect a foreign apartheid state through usury, & manipulation.

  • Excellent closing analogy. Very fitting.

  • I get what you're saying but what I find amusing is how even with these views you still enlisted and fought for them and happily received your pay for your complicit contribution to these unjust wars as you so claim they are.

If you didn't hold these views okay no problem you actually believe in what the US is doing. But since you do then it becomes evident that you simply joined for the money thus making you not a soldier of the United States but rather a mercenary, you just had a uniform.

  • @LeeroyFan101 I joined the Marines in 1999, deployed to Iraq in 2003, and came to my current views about the situation slowly over the course of the next few years. I was told we had "won" in Iraq while I was there, I didn't know why we still had guys there in 2004 and 2005 and beyond. I didn't have this mindset in 2003 when I was there. I've slowly learned the error of our ways since then. I agree with you though, that if you don't like the war, don't go.

  • SPOT ON! SO TRUE, GOD BLESS YOU MY MAN. This is exactly what the leaders need to be hearing AND listening to AND exercising!! It's pretty straight forward, plain & simple logic.

  • Brave video brother.

  • Great video!

  • I agree man! Ron Paul 2012! Support from Portugal!

  • Awesome video :)

  • Let me get the worlds smallest violin out for you. Traitor.

  • @cap288cap Keep allowing the US to fight unConstitutional wars. Stay back and watch as we cause EVERY country on this planet to hate us because of our interventionist foreign policy. Stay silent while we allow the national security of Israel to be more important than the national security of the USA...Or you can speak up like this brave Marine...Traitor. Ex-Navy myself, pthompson2010.

  • @cap288cap Is that what you want to call all the active service members who donated to Ron Paul too?

  • @cap288cap bash that fucking violin over your head. you don't love this country......LEAVE

  • I say support the troops. Vote Ron Paul!

  • Well said! I'm happy to be a former Marine when I hear the way you speak. Outstanding!

  • Thank you for your service and your defense of the constitution! Your video shows reason, which is greatly lacking in the dinosaur mainstream media that largely wishes to promote even greater and longer wars which will further hurt the troops, bankrupt the nation, and further induce a totalitarian police state at home...but it will enrich and promote the agenda(s) of a unique minority of people that can only be classified as belonging to the population of sociopaths and psychopaths. RON PAUL 12

  • 1st off I would like to thank you for your service! And thank you for doing what do you do, it takes a special kind of person to do what you do! 2nd I may not be old enough to vote but that does mean I'm not old enough to care, I think you talked about everything everyone else is to sared to talk about. Again thank you for doing what you do! I can not thank you enough, beacuse if it wasn't for men and women like you I would not be able to type this comment or live my life the way I do "Free!"

  • I agree with you and I think most people in America do as well.. People get put off with your title. your actually supporting the troops by wanting them home. In your analogy you would be supporting your son by letting him in the "damn" house.. rounding up change to get a better coat would help keep him alive but in a way it would just be enabling him to stay outside in the cold for no reason at all.

  • Isn't that what this is really about? There is no good reason for our troops to be over there so that's what we should be focusing on. when that is realized, there is only 1 rational conclusion we can come to.. BRING THEM HOME!

  • Don't get me wrong, if our troops are engaged I want them to give the other side hell and win as quickly and safely as possible but that doesn't mean I can't disagree with their being there in the first place. I'm just not about to trust politicians or media who say our troops need to go over there and stay over there and that the best way to support them is to keep my mouth shut, basically sacrificing my 1st ammend. right that they're supposedly over there protecting.

  • You hit on one of the biggest problems in this country: despite the fact that in order to be a politician you almost without exception have to be crooked, people often listen to the things politicians say without regard for their own expertise or background in the matter. This whole over-reaction support the troops thing allows them to get away with doing awful things to other countries, our troops and our own citizens while at the same time demonizing anyone who dissents.

  • Great Vid. I do agree that you will get more views stating the opposite of what you mean, which is a shame. Don't let Jive Turkeys like ThePrgiffin2 get you down. He is just a assclown.

  • Nice speech. Too bad some people are too thick to get the fact that you are pro-military and love your country.

  • It's too bad that there are people ripping you in this video. You make perfect sense to me. But- your arguments are fantastic. Anyone can come onto youtube and use profanity and call you whatever you want. My vote is to ignore them. Your message is powerful and they have nothing to stand on. If they had a pair of balls, they'd send you a counter video and show their faces. Otherwise, they are no better than the usual mindless waste that rips every RP video on the tube

  • Hey Dumbass, actually do fucking research, before you just blabber

  • @mussontech15 I would love to know what you are referring to. I like debate. I'd love to debate what ever topic you think I didn't research. I only claimed a few facts in this video. The most obvious is that more troops donate to the candidate who is opposed to our current foreign policy. I researched that one and it is true. So I don't mean to speak for everyone, but I sure as hell mean to speak for the majority of the military who donate money to Ron Paul.

  • @pthompson2010 Great, you found one little fact, now look up the facts on how much it cost to keep our military in Iraq vs. removing them. When i say remove, i mean the personnel, vehicles, aircraft, weapons, housing, technology, all of it. And for someone who claims to be a marine, you certainly dont seem to mind bashing fellow marines. you say you dont support our troops, shame, cause they are still over seas while you bitch and moan behind their wall of protection.

  • @muntech15 Wall of protection from what? Like I said in the video, I"m not in the habit of blind patriotism, supporting the war just because fellow Marines are in it. Former General Wesley Clark has been very vocal about the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism, or 9/11 or even national security. Becauase I listen to those who are doing the fighting, and especially those who make the decisions, I can think for myself and come to the conclusion that the wars are useless

  • @mussontech15 In addition, we keep saying that we are protection America and fighting for freedom, however, we have bases in 130 countries around the world while our southern border with Mexico can be crossed at anytime by anyone. We use tax payer dollars to keep bases in other countries which allows those countries not to have to use their own money for defense, meanwhile our borders are completely insecure. So your "wall of protection" was built in the wrong country.

  • @mussontech15 as a war veteran i have been deployed 5 times to iraq and once to afghan,im currently an active duty Marine and worked the logistical end to retrograding out of Iraq in 2009 it is absurd to think the cost to stay stay in iraq then retrograde out weigh the cost to just pack up and go home cutting out accumulating costs to keep each active duty and civilian contractor the the DOD claims it cost over a 1million$ a year to logistically maintain 1 active duty servicemen in iraq/afghan.

  • @mussontech15 lol so ur logic is; Support our military that are in foreign lands commuting murder in the name of lies and democracy? i can bet your never seen the sadness and horrors of war or had to sleep in a fighting hole for days them be scared shirtless when the largest sandstorm in 100yrs blocks out the sun from 10am-into the night them the skies opened (rained) up for hours. Thank god he send me home safe, because only fools love wars so remember Blessed are the peacemakers

  • @mussontech15 Marines don't like to see their brother's courage wasted. You ever serve? Being critical of the use of 'our' military and the Devildogs who don't question things means we do support the the troops vice people like you who are bashing vocal vets "behind their wall of protection." BTW those who provide that 'wall of protection' have more right than civilians to criticize the military's foreign policy. Why? Because they provided that wall of protection. You serve?

  • @ddarko2012 Do you want the truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!

  • @mussontech15 With that said.. Your wall of protection is an illusion and a complete joke. Politicians are the ones who say it would cost more to remove the troops, but by being over there for so long we are seen as occupiers and this leads to people hating us. Muslim extremist are the end result. Your wall of protection (ie drone bombing civilians, vital infrastructure, etc) is the result of a foreign policy that lead to the initial threat. If only enough vets had spoke up sooner.

  • @pthompson2010

Yet not all members of the military donate money to a candidate. The fact that more troops give to Ron Paul than any other candidate does not mean that more troops support Ron Paul, only that those who do support him are more willing to donate than those who support the other candidates.

As a soldier in a combat arms MOS, I fully support the wars.

  • @mussontech15 Sheep alert!

  • @mussontech15 You Sir, are a dumb ass

  • @mussontech15 Maybe he could take a lesson from your researching skills.

  • @mussontech15 Chicken hawk!

  • @mussontech15 lol ur one of those fake patriot who blindly support us, The Patriotic Act and the recent NDAA because ur TELL-LIE-VISION tells u were are hero's and fighting to protect ur freedom. Lies don't make us more safe nor do laws which take our liberties away, because those who give up liberty for a little safety from the "boggy man a.k.a. terrorist" deserves neither liberty or safety (Benjamin Franklin)

  • @ThePrgriffin2 First of all, thank you for respecting those who came before you. I guess things have changed since I was in. Secondly, you swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution but right now our military is being used to commit acts of war, without a declaration of war. I didn't fully understand the Constitution when

  • @ThePrgriffin2 .....was 17 and swore that oath. I'm glad you are proud of your sevice. I'm not so glad you are so disrespectful to those who also served yet have a different opinion. However, think very carefully about that oath you swore. What part of the Constitution you swore to protect says the President can use the military to commit acts of war without a declaration? When you are given unConstitutional orders, you aren't supposed to follow them.

  • @ThePrgriffin2 Again, not to harp on the same topic, but where in the Constitution is the authority for what we are doing? I'm a "minister of death praying for war" as much as the next guy, but I have news for you, There is no war. We haven't declaired a war since 1941. I'll gladly shut my mouth and erase my video if you'll point out where in the Constitution we have the authority to do what we are doing. Your swore on that Constitution, you better know whats in it.

  • @ThePrgriffin2 Mindless, hateful ROBOT! You're part of the problem in this world. Having the strength or ability to crush an opponent doesn't make you right. Grow a brain! Ever stop to think what it is that you're faithfully serving? It ain't liberty for your countrymen, I'll tell ya that. Too bad your brute mentality (read: BULLY) and sheepish ways (read: FEAR) over-rode your logic and sensibilities! Good luck finding work back here at home when your tour is over, dude.

  • @onedimeshort There is no hope for any of us, there is only hatred and and revenge. Embrace that we are the Empire and the Republic will fall at the hands of our evil.

  • @ThePrgriffin2

    HAHA what a tough guy!

Some military guys are such egotistical fuckheads.

  • Very interesting point of view! It was not long ago that I supported what we were doing over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course I was on a ship when I deployed and I didn't see what was really going on. Thanks for the video.

  • I'm also a Marine veteran from OIF in 2005-2006, you assuming you speak for me is at best misguided, and at worst almost as hypocritical as the politicians you profess to despise. You may have a few veteran buddies who agree with your outlook on the war itself, but do not extrapolate that to saying the troops want nothing more than to come home. There is a lot of things I, and the people I served with want, coming home is obviously a priority, so is completing a mission many believe in

  • @dayman0603 Cerntainly don't mean to speak for everyone, but in the context of a short youtube video blog, I can't spend all day over-explaining the generalizations I"m making. Obviously by virtue of the fact that even some Marines donate their money to the other candidates, or none at all, I realize that within a group of hundreds of thousands, their are different opinions, however, if you are just looking at political donations, more of our fellow Marines apparently agree with me.

  • @dayman0603 In addition, I was happy as a pig in shit in 2003 when we "accomplished the mission". I would have been opposed to going over in the first place if I knew they would have continued sending people there in 2005. Our politicians don't even know what the mission is anymore. Saddam is dead, Qadaffi is dead, so is Bin Laden, and many others. They didn't tell us in 2003 that the mission was anything other than ending any threat Iraq posed. We did that. What's left?

  • @dayman0603 Not to ramble, but as far as the political donations thing I referred to, if anyone didn't know, I'm talking about the fact that more active military donate to Ron Paul than any other candidate. Aside from not knowing what the mission really is, the thing that pisses me off the most is that nearly every politician who is making decisions about this, or running for office, is a draft dodger themselves. I don't like John McCain's politics, but at least he served. So did Ron

  • @dayman0603 So then you agree with him? Whats the mission?

  • Yes. Excellent!

  • machine

  • I have long said the best way to support the troops is to keep them home.

  • Thank you, bro, for producing this. And MANY thanks for your service to the country. It is much appreciated.

    RON PAUL 2012!

    Chris

    Norfolk, VA

  • Awesome video!

  • Great video, thank you!

  • Awesome video dude. I'm in the military myself and you just hit the nail on the head. RP 2012

  • @1204mge tell your buddies about oathkeepers

  • Sir, Thank you for your video. We simply cannot afford to garrison and defend four continents beyond our own---It is bankrupting us. Ron Paul, all the way!

  • "too chicken shit to go serve in the military themselves, yet when they get into a position of political power, all of a sudden they turn into audie f**king murphy." I've watched a few of your videos and I like them all. That statement right there- just NAILS it! Great job. More people need to hear these words. Especially a USMC vet. I would listen to a vet before anyone else.

  • Thank you for this video

  • Research Noel Ignatiev!

    /watch?v=BFj63NShxsw

  • WELL SAID!!

  • WOW! Well said! You are a true hero sir. Thank you for your service! We Americans will rise, we will fight for yall, just as yall fight for us! We will bring you HOME!

  • Powerful speech. Thanks for sharing your story. We don't get a whole lot of reality around here. The contrast between care packages from 3rd graders and being stranded in the desert like an animal and drinking water out of a corpse filled lake is striking. I've never been in combat, but if I was I'd want to be on your team. Did you ever think about stumping for RP with that speech?

  • Well said! Thank you for your service to America and the service you are doing now with this video. Support our Troops vote Ron Paul 2012!

  • No apology necessary , thank you for your continued service to the people of this country !
