Brisbane didn't finish on top of the latter once out of their three premiership years...
They just happened to play really well when it counted. Port won the minor premiership two seaons in a row with 18 wins in the home and away season. They were a much better all round team than Brisbane. Port deserved to win three in a row. They were the best team in the AFL for three years in a row.

When the SANFL was established, there was NOT a club by the name of 'Adelaide' Football club. You, no matter how superior you think being a crows supporter makes you, has no right to 'define' what a 'typical' port supporter is, once more, your basis of us not washing our clothes (which is ridiculous) makes no sense. Yes because Port was the biggest of the suburban teams. But why on earth would the SANFL want to create a team just for one group of supporters. In the essence of the state (crows wear state colours) and all the SANFL teams (exluding port) the Adelaide Crows were formed. (Croweaters being the nickname of the state team). Our club was made for the state, your club was the creation of a meager little suburban football club.
