do you even know the history of sticky rice? sticky rice started off with the mon daravati kingdom in 805 b.c. then daravati was destory and came along sukhothai era the thais they still eat sticky rice during that time. then sukhothai fell to ayudtaya and during ayudtaya they still eat sticky rice but also grew jasmine rice. then came ratanakosin era the thai still eat sticky rice but it started to fade off. came bangkok era sticky rice was totally gone from central plain of thailand till today

what is Thai-esarn..Esarn is just another word to clean up what is the ethnic group Lao. I'm from Thailand and so are my relatives, but we are Lao living in Issan. All Isarn word does is just attempt to erase Lao, just substitute Lao into essarn and that's the people. We all know this is true, there are Lao in Laos and there are Lao in Thailand who are known as Isarn. pity they can't call themselves Lao.
morlum came from laos yes but luktung thai been singing since the old age. Ever heard of luktung glong yao? Luktung was 1st sang by surapol ever since then alot more singer came out.
what old age are we talking about..from what I know Luktong is just another variation of morlum at slower pace. Most of Luktung has Lao words not Thai words so it's contradicting with it being since the old age..From what I know when morlum was introduced to Thailand it became a hit, the king banned it scaring it would be the national music..
