  • Cornel West is a joke and race hustler!!!

  • nice grammar. typical nigs

  • @MrDelight666 .....You are talking about your grammar, right?

  • @page371069 yep, im talking about these stupid niggers.

  • @MrDelight666 .....Idiot!!!

  • He is who he is look to what you are doing on a day to day basis to do whta you believe he is not doing..He is a human being imperfect however who do you think is available to do better read Andrew Sullivan and learn something.

  • @turtledanz Andrew fucking Sullivan doesn't know shit. He's a rascist apologizer for American Imperialism.

  • Cornel West is very courageous. Watch the people around him react to what he is saying. Amazing. Thanks for this post.

  • Democracy unfortunately is the easiest method of Government that allows money houses to corrupt, they say you can vote for who you want but look at the system of funding, you really have only 2 options Democrats and Republican and each of these parties are owned by the same people ....... unfortunately for all America's independence there is such thing as too independent, open market means open corruption.

  • @metemQ being white is a social Identity in america also as well as being asian and indian also. Think before you write. Barack Obama is not treated what in your manner of thinking would be considered "Black" or whatever that means relative to where you grew up. He is treated like a fucking prince he is the leader of the most powerful country on earth. Open your mind not just your mouth.

  • @Wgivens93 what was your comment for to diminish others?

  • @Wgivens93 that he isn't the first african american president is shitting myself? Or that thinking that he wasn't the first african american president is shitting myself? Because I'm pretty sure he isn't, but listen to CNN they want to hear your opinion, It's not the first thought I had watching this I just like listening to mr. West. Then I thought I would add that because most people born in 93' or graduating probably don't know that he wasn't our first mixed blood pres, so to enlighten others

  • Ali is from louisville, ky. In our state, today, Rand Paul was elected to the Senate, knowing full well that he was against the Civil Rights Movement and has openly declared that a white restaurant has no business serving blacks if they do not want to. And today, yes today, the HQ of the KKK are located right here. Heck, I was on a bus in Louisville a few years back and they were certain McCain was going to win and that there is no way "that a n*gger is gonna run my country." I once listened

  • Now, my brother, Dr. West, why are you not telling people about the party you support at times - Greens?

You do have somewhere to go - gp.org

  • Mar'in.

  • This is spot on Accurate. Period.

  • The moderator is a massive tool. Respect to Professor West for his intellectual sincerity and, yes, even courage.

  • I love it when smart people talk. Dr. West is so honest and such an asset to America. Listen up people.

  • I love when Tavis Smiley gets ghetto!

  • Obama was the perfect candidate to placate the populace after 8 terrible years under Bush Cheney...Tavis is right we're stuck and must vote against any Republican but don't kid yourselves that Obama is for We The People, He sold us out to Goldman Sachs and the Status Quo from day one.. He put the very people who sank our economy right back in charge..!

  • @DuneAquaViva lets get ron paul, abolish the federal reserve banking system and save HUmanity from slavery.

  • @Skipper1177 you can't "save humanity from slavery" by creating a "free market" system in which corporations can do whatever they want

  • Dr. Cornell West is a great speaker and what he says resonates strongly with me. However, he said, "That was a H/hell of a dream," When speaking about Dr. King's blessed vision. I think he could have stopped around 3:27 .

  • Cornell West is the best , did anyone remember Karl Rove coming to Obama's rescue ? I do . Freaked me out it was hush hush but never the less accomplished , yeah Rezko went down but not Obama who took articles of Impeachment off the table . Thank God Dr, Cornell West is not an idiot . By the way a Man inherits all mental states from there Mother , at least 90% .

I am so disappointed . what next . Dr West , I marched with Mickey Leland , he was a great man . Thank You for not being blind .

  • Amazing Speaker, Amazing man.

  • amen to cornel west barack sucks gop sucks no more black bush. No more corporate bitches. impeach congress and let the people pick there own candidates (wich in this country probably wouldnt be any good anyway ha. Garbage in garbage out in our brainwashed system.

  • President Obama has not directly supported the Occupy movement and many of his fellow Democrats from the City, County, State, and Federal level are not helping enough against the overtly and obvious toxic US Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) determined to defeating President Obama no matter what it takes.

  • I do not agree with Tavis, Cornel , nor Obama... We can lift up without any help these guys.... What do you think Malcolm X would say about this guys? Polar opposites...

  • The woman gets cut off. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @SMoldie this is what I'm getting from what you saying, if not let me know. The fact Mr. Obama has not had a tie to slavery and a view of whatever that might bring into his life and psyche in a country where classicism is rampant did not effect him allowed him to achieve what he did pre election, or are you saying his lack of ties to African American culture made him a more alluring candidate to white voters scared of an angry black man in office.

  • Me & the rest of the Hillary Clinton supporters from 2008 are now saying, "TOLD YOU SO!"...But nooo, alll the idiots nationwide wanted change & hope...now they all realizing that @ the end of the day this guy is as full of B.S. as ALL politicians...

  • These two Willies are the most obnoxious fools in black skin.

  • He's not even the first black president, Warrent Harding, possibly had black blood. Jefferson was probably not but Adams stated he was the son of a mulatto father.

  • @Garrnett1 Your focus is on I believe his African heritage, his lineage has not included slavery, so you believe his experience has no relation to his hue; I disagree his experience, without slavery gave the white electorate the chance to vote for a man whom happened to be black rather than a black man.

  • @Garrnett1 really? you have to be shitting yourself........if you really think the way you do

  • West is the man. Speaks so eloquently and through to the heart.

  • "i be edDacatedism an praTestacions a'l ya a'lz be jibity dibity duz waz cu'z brother" is this ebonics?

  • lol @ that fool calling Cornell West ignorant....especially directly after misspelling government

  • ima bare witness

  • CORNELL NEVER SAY ANYTHING...OF SUBTANCE...HE'S BITTER A BITTER BLACKMAN...ITS EASY TO PRAY ON YOUR OWN RACE...AND THE WHITE CRACKERS LOVE THAT...PRESIDENT OBAMA DIDN'T INVENT THE GOVENMENT YOU DUMBASS NIGGER....TALK ABOUT THE WHITE MAN THAT IS STILL DISRESPECTING YOU.... IGNORANT ASS..

  • @salbella50 I never really liked cornell much but Obama is giving guys like him lots of material. Barrack is not STANDING UP FOR A COMMUNITY THAT STOOD UP FOR HIM!! There is no excuse for that. Barrack has been standing for other communities (unions, gays, illegal aliens, planned parenthood) but he will not stop talking down and belittling Africans and Black american. If the president can't stop his country from going to war in Africa then he don't need to be in there

  • @supermike2164 I accept that Obama, has not fulfilled the agenda that got him elected. Yet the whole community that voted for Obama have to look at the man they voted for, he was/is not the messiah but a politician whom was caught up in the worst economic meltdown since the depression and followed one of the most incompetent presidents in living memory. We all expected miracles rather than looking at realistic achievable goals in the short and long term. Second term, radical solutions.

  • @SMoldie I'm sorry if you think being fair in resource distribution to the black communities is expecting a "Miracle"

If preventing your country from going to war with a nation that is no threat is a "Miracle" I'm sorry.

    This is really modest expectations

We got other options beside voting anyway BLACKS NEED TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS LIKE NOI and FARRAKHAN or anyone seriously pushing for black INDEPENDENCE!! this is the smartest option blacks can make

  • @supermike2164 I'm fascinated by your political agenda, how will opting out of mainstream politics help the average working class American of whatever hue, maintain a job in the current economic uncertainties. The splintering of the working class into fringe groups, helps nobody and engages the possibility of a republican back in the White house. Criticism is valid, wild tea party like, ravings are rather worrying.Protest about the war, don't brother, move to the fringes of political discourse.

  • @SMoldie Sadly the country is already gone the public just hasn't accepted it yet. There is no economic, political, social, religous, education, or international development that has the potential or end result of turning the spiraling american society around as a whole (or even halfway) if there is let me know how and what. The Democrat Majority Senate just voted down Obama's jobs bill (think about that) Farrakhan just annouced a plan starting a land purchasing corporation......

  • @SMoldie Managed by black business men like Bob Johnson and pooling resource to purchase large quantities of land which will be used to develope jobs for black communities SPECIFICLY!!

This is a coalition of experienced, respected and professional business people partnered with a organization that has for over 80 years proven its commitment to the black community to create a vehicle that blacks can provide jobs FOR THEIR OWN!! not begging the government. we have options

  • @supermike2164 I respect you passion and obvious commitment to the community, yet black separatisms is at best a utopian muse at worst a nightmare as seen in experiments in for example, Ghana and Grenada . Fight within the system to achieve the betterment of all working class people.

  • @SMoldie I realize due to societal training that its difficult to think outside the box (democrate or republican) for answers. Yet this type of thinking is the only way to get true solutions. Its sad that you would classify black independence as a joke. It isn't an experiment because blacks have an amazing history independence of white people that spans tens of thousand of years and more. You can find an example of "this system" working properly for the mass of blacks EVER.

  • @SMoldie I understand that it is very difficult to "give up" on something that you have been told that is yours but the simple truth is. You me and the mass of the american peole DO NOT CONTROL AMERICAN POLICY. If we did history would have never brought us to this point. Obama, Congress and the supreme court would be making decisions that hurt this country decisions that fly in the face of public opinon. INVEST IN YOUR OTHER OPTIONS

  • @supermike2164 I will address both issues, if you felt my tone was in any way mocking I apologises, I simple don't believe opting out is the answer; Haiti for example, is no solution to black poverty and disenfranchisement in American society. With regard having influence of American policy, if every black church and organisation in America had a unified voice on certain key issue, that would be a significant voting block which could not ignored on the national stage, peace and love brother;D

  • @SMoldie PS apologises for grammatical and spelling errors, its late here:D

  • @SMoldie that's the interesting thing because some of the people participating at OWS want exactly that...gd point.

  • @HouseofVespucci Thank you:D I agree with the principles behind OWS, yet feel all that energy could be directed towards real politic, and the upcoming elections which will be challenging for all of us on the left to negotiate. I do hope the occupations continue to bring together, right minded people; peace and love to you and yours:D

  • @salbella50 West to is bitter because of a lack of acknowledgement by Obama for his contributions, as well asSmiley, which have help him to become president. I too am appalled by West's inability to check his ego in light of Obama being the first openly Black president. West forgets his contradictory persona which includes an elitist identity, based on his background. West should acknowledge the next generation's contributions, but in mainstream society his written work is still overlooked.

  • @HouseofVespucci ...what is West bitter about...sorry there are many other black people who don't have West's accomplishments who are not up Obama's ass like you and the other Obama worshipper are and not all of them are Republicans. If you can't see that Obama is a puppet and is not afraid to call him out on it like Cornel is then go suck on a lemon.

  • @jeremy9256824 lmao if my alternative to Obama is dealing with angry violent people(verbally or physically) in absence of government--for a so-called free market which will still imposes inequalities and promotes intoleranc--i'll take my free lemon from obama and make lemonade, turn around sell it with government protection..which quite frankly i question if people like you really care about. OBAMA 2012

  • @HouseofVespucci Obama is a puppet, of unions and limousine-liberals like those on wal-street. Obama got more wal-street money then McCain, but the mainstream media doesn't tell u this!

  • @Jamespot24 entertaining...historically presidents accept campaign funding. dismantling the federal government will not fix economic disparities. when you advocate to dismantle the free market of supply and demand as well as create a highly functioning utopia where everyone receives 2 loaves of bread, a house, free education, a car, free medical care, and other good things then i will stop supporting Obama. Obama 2012!!!!

  • @HouseofVespucci stank

  • @DrShitandStank u aka Dr. Porcelain King

  • @Jamespot24 Obama is not a puppet of unions o.0 please do not bad-mouth unions. You have them to thank for higher wages, no child labor, and the weekend. If Obama listened to the workers, we would likely not be going through half the issues we are facing now.

  • @socialisteducation "thank for higher wages, no child labor, and the weekend"

You are a liberal textbook sheep. I do not work for a union nor will I ever. The money I make is because of HARD WORK, not because some sleezy union reps boost my pay. And yes they do help people in unions, For Now. But what happens when all the businesses go overseas because unions are crippling the labor industry.

America used to make stuff, now those jobs are overseas, why is this?

    UNIONS

  • @Jamespot24

"America used to make stuff, now those jobs are overseas, why is this?

    UNIONS"

Okay, not because the Chinese will work for less. They're paying people less than 10c an hour for work overseas, do you think Americans could, or SHOULD, compete with that? LOL you are insane.

  • @Jamespot24 heeeeeeeeeeeeey James! whatz going on? How is that Burger king job? what is your job position?.. flipping burgers or scrubbing shit out of the toilet?

  • @socialisteducation And you know what! I've been faced with a situation at work, when i was 18 actually where I wasn't making enough, the work sucked.

And i went straight up to my boss Like A MAN and said "hey I can't work for this, I'm a hard worker and I need more money" It ended with me saying "$2 more an hour or this is my 2 weeks notice"

He offered me $1 more, I said sorry dude this is my 2 weeks.

I left as a MAN went out and found a new job!

  • @socialisteducation Diffrence between me and the LITTLE GIRLS in Unions. I don't whine like a bitch and complain how im "getting screwed" I go talk to the boss face to face and try and work something out.

And it usually works, because I'm a hard worker and being a hard worker is a better bargaining chip then any pro-union legislation.

I want to start my own business in a few years too. Please tell me how red-tape and unions will help me with that? It wont!

    Hard work will

  • @Jamespot24 a puppet of unions? are you serious? that is false...

  • @Jamespot24 unions didn't move job overseas, corporations did through GATT/WTO. do you just make this stuff up or does O'Reilly tell you what to say?

  • @Jamespot24 obama simply a puppet to that global agenda... if you peep what im sayin.

  • @thedezoe Well I know im kicking him out of office in 2012, I used to like him before he was president but he's just so phony its unreal

  • i love cornell west i love

    u

  • We need to join the Green Party ranks in 2012 and beyond!

The Green Party has exploded around the world and now is the time to join!

  • @GreenPartyJustice I am skeptical of the Green Party, personally. They come off to me as a party full of

'bummed out liberals.' and I am a socialist. I am not so sure if I want to vote for a party that is pro-capitalism, especially with the captialist system in the crisis that it is. We need something radical this time around, not the same old 'reform the system' politics.

  • @Tougemaster06 The crisis we faced wasn't a capitalist crisis,because we don't live in a capitalist system.

We live in a mixed economy, where the government holds multiple monopolies in the public sector, maintains monopolies in the private sector, has absolute control over the currency and interest rates.

the crisis began with the housing bubble that was blown by predatory lending from banks that were egged by government interests and pushed over the limit by a false signal in interest rates.

  • @Ravengaurd6 This is a reactionary and fundamentalist answer. YOu don't accept capitalist reality, and thus you retreat to some ideological middle class vision of capitalism; a small business middle class capitalism of mom and pops growing to be big. Middle class small business capitalism cannot build wealth without accumulating, becoming large and devouring other companies. Even Adam Smith said the highest profit can only be gained from monopoly pricing, which is the aim of the profit motive.

  • @Tougemaster06 it can't be fundamentalist if it's an objective answer. it's documented.

I never said anything about class. I spoke on the nature of the American market system. which is MIXED. like all other modern economies.which means no existent economic system is operating around its intended model.

also, Adam Smith was fanatically opposed to monopolies since they restricted markets from allowing the largest societal gain through the efficient production and allocation of goods and services.

  • @Ravengaurd6 Most Capitalist economies are mixed. Capitalism is an inherently statist system. In order to have private property, you need a state to legitimize it. The free market can't exist without private property, both of which need state intervention to legitimize currency and laws of exchange. Private property is an illegitimate institution unless you think it is something that exist due to the power of god. Private property is a material construction of the state, not inalienable rights.

  • @Tougemaster06 but that's the only purpose that state should hold in the market. defense of the life, liberty and property of all the citizens. private property has kept the use of force relative to property exchange at it's lowest possible minimum.

of course all land is stolen, that is the natural rule of determination. during a formation of the nation, could there have been a more peaceful way of colonization, yes,but it never occurred. beforehand most native people warred over land anyway.

  • This guy I've tried to give a little respect from time to time, but he's prison guy from Living Color,he's Educated beyond the moment, a moment which no single individual could accomplish the Dream of Dr.King is that of a Utopia,in a sense and the Masses to include Black's don't understand the Dream and the Masses Killed the Dreamer and have spent near Fifty years trying to shake it off, like the proverbial witches riding you as you struggle to awake, and Blacks the affluent few among us Failed.

  • oh my god!!! why is that demon frumm on that stage.......god what a murdering traitor. get a rope. hell get a bunch of ropes.

  • @sssssjjjj1 what?!

  • The whole thing is a farce! Tavis and Cornel West are both in the Boule. They are both misleading black people. They don't care about liberation for black people.

  • This dude is full of shit!!!!!!!!! I saw this guy in chicago and that shit wasn't free, he talks all this brother shit and talks about the poor. If he wasn't running across america charging people to talk shit about Barrack he would be a nobody.

  • @rb0975 He was before Barack and he will be after Barack my brother. He speaks a truth that you must LISTEN for, not just HEAR, you must open your mind and LISTEN with it. The 'shit' he is talking is a TRUTH that is older than you, or I or Dr. Cornel West combined. I do agree that lectures should be free to the public though, but that does not mean his words do not come from a place of Truth. Walk in the shoes of the poor and you will be the richest man on this Earth!!

  • @DarkStar3141 I do agree with you about the truth that he speaks about, but we all know who really runs this country and It's not Barrack or the 43 other presidents before him. The part that gets me is Mr. West knows this as well, You will not be elected President without the help of big corp money its sad but true. This dislike he has for our President comes from a different place. I was mad as fuck with Bush and Fema over the response time of Katrina. Where was Tavis and West then?

  • KKKorny West et. al are all African--no American. Many of us are anti-U.S. Govt. repression but we don't be talkin' ----hey, mang, white is bright, etc.

  • The problem is Obama's biggest contributor was Goldman Sachs, with a follow up with Bank of America .These big corporations expect something in return - Wall Street runs the country . Paulson , Geithner - former Goldman Sachs boys. Obama promised troop withdrawl in 16 months - MANY voted for him just because of that and they are disgusted that the wars are escalating .Vote Ron Paul -he won;t take $ from Goldman, Wall St , he REALLY WILL bring troops home !Cross party & color lines-vote freedom

  • Obama will never be MLK

  • Obama is fake, black people need to wake up ,he don't care about black or whithe people.

  • cornel west & tavis smiley have a personal bais agains Barack Obama and they need to stop. This poverty tour is nothing more than a front. Think of how they are traveling around the country on this poverty tour... on a luxury bus.

  • @gbrailsfordcato -.- why don't you address the substance of what Mr. West is talking about.

  • He's not the demise of the dream. He is not the dream, though he may be the prophecy b/c he was judged, primarily, by the "presumed" content of his character i.e., he talked a good game. Next up, cuz he aint it.

  • I agree. Obama has not been different at all from Bush, except that the Repubs were going downhill into radicalism and would have continued to do do even faster had Palin & McCain been elected. There has been no observable change in the field of national health insurance----that law is almost a phantom law----and we are still in two wars, with Obama wanting us in Syria too. We still give out $800,000,000,000.00 in foreign aid to people who think we are chumps--because we are.

  • Clinton did a better job...albeit he didn't have to follow after Bush jrs colossal fuc up. I admit Obama was put in a very difficult spot, but the issue stands that he has yet to act on his promises of "change".

  • @munajjrochelle he is the opposite of a "Tom" he is simply calling out the fact that Obama as a Democrat is not making a stand on Democratic policies. If you know anything about current politics you would realize this is the truth...the house is predominately republican, Obama just doesn't have the balls to enforce policies that are expected of his supposed allegiance.

  • He is the demise of his dreams

  • Obama said G.W.Bushit turned the American government bus into a ATV and drove off the road.... Where he jumped behind the steering wheel "driving by committee" and became a (chaffeur) and has been driving the conservative (Best for the country) agender for the last 21/2 years...

  • Cornel West looks like Don King for real 0_o.

  • god i cant stand this tom

  • @munajjrochelle evertime a black person doesn't "follow along" with other black people many of you try to shame them..he has a right to question Obama..

  • Illegal Immoral war in Vietnam, learn your history. North Vietnam broke off from South Vietnam, sunk into deep poverty under communism, than invaded South Vietnam. South Vietnam than asked the US for help.

  • cornel west, got what u call the "NIGGAsyndrome." this shit is starting all over again....

  • A few days ago, the MSN evening news ran a segment about the President losing the support of his base and ran a snippet of Smiley and West. They are not his "base".

  • PLEASE VIEW "V NASTY WHITE GIRL PLEASE STOP IT" follow me @vanessamisoon. THANK YOU CORNEL WEST!

  • "V NASTY AND HER SISTER HAVE OVER 10 MILLION YOUTUBE HITS- AND THEIR GROUP JUST SIGNED A MILLION DOLLAR DEAL WITH SONY. OBAMA IS THE BIGGEST HOUSE NIGGA IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA.

  • CORNEL WEST- WATCH MY AND MY SON'S YOUTUBE VIDEO. THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS STEALING OUR BABIES!!!!!! ALL COLORED PEOPLES SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE BEEN DIVIDED AND EFFECTIVELY CONQUERED. DR. KING, BROTHER MALCOM, MARCUS GARVEY.... THEY UNDERSTOOD THST ITS NOT JUST ABOUT BLACK FOLKS- ITS ABOUT ALL COLORED FOLKS!!!!! LOOK UP "V NASTY" AND WATCH AS A YOUNG WHITE FEMALE CALLS BLACK MEN NIGGAS.

  • @trigzgal Racism is not limited to white people, all races have members who hate other people for the color of their skin. I am white, and when I was in DC in the summer of 2008, I was walking down the street minding my own business when this African American guy gets in my face and yells f**k you white mother f****r. You can find examples of members from every race degrading their fellow human beings because they have a different skin color.

  • WE CAN INTELLECTUALIZE AMONGST ONE ANOTHER FOR ETERNITY.... THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS ERASING THE HISTIRY OF COLORED PEOPLE OF THE WORLD. @vanessamisoon

  • At 2 &1/2 years of this "manchurian republican candidate" administration.., His position/course of conservative submissive agenda has become irrelevant regarding the political dates & actions in the near future... We all know Obama looks, talks & walks deceptively democratic..., But West & Smiley are equally as slick by "NOT" challenging the conservative media toe-to-toe... Limbaugh "10" yrs ago said "waah waah waah " is all he'd ignore & expect from the Smiley/West continency of democrats...

  • @HiRoader11 and he gets more upset with his base then he does with the republicans

  • @mdna72 ....Obama is foolish enough to think he can make decisions by committee..., CEO's would say that only dilutes leadership power... Also he's foolish enough aft 21/2 years not to make any adjustment in failing his own democratic constituents..., Obama plans ahead his constituent betrayal with his " Best for the Country" rhetoric... Obama is the "Manchurian (republican) candidate"....

  • Look at the guy right beside him. Nervous as a goat

  • I'm shocked to say this, but I actually agree with some of what mr. west is saying.

  • Cornel West should meet Ron Paul.

  • Ain't this smart-mouth know-it-all fucker married to a white woman? I have a problem with a black man talking black but sleeping white. Fuck Cornel West. Henry Gates too.

  • @dkapone You're a fucking idiot! Go watch BET you give Black people a bad name!

  • yeah...completely agree....i'm gonna use this video in my MLK/Tupac remix video, for sure.

  • Hard to say who the bigger asshole is. Tavis Smiley or Cornel West. The planet would be a far better place without these two racist buffoons.

  • TEll us thenewmike, what he said about obama?

  • I cant bear to listen to this guy. Hes stuck in the 60s and 70s with his "brothers and sisters" talk. Its disturbing. IF you want to make it in America, you can. Obama is PROOF of that! Oh, by the way "brother" West, President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize AND just killed the most wanted TERRORIST on the planet!! Leave the 60s & 70s behind and join us in the 21st century. Also, funny how Mr. Smileys grammer slips into illiteracy when hes not on mainstream media outlets,

  • @thenewmike2012 Is that the best you have got ? He was on with Matthews and other whites and said brother to them. Grow up.

  • @thenewmike2012 Did you just take a jab at Professor. Dr. Cornel West who is the very person whose allowed to use the words "brother" as a Christian; Aside from that what is wrong with you trying to jump on one of the most recognized intellectual geniuses on the planet -right up there with Steve Hawkins- except his heads not int he clouds, looking up at the stars. No black holes here not even in his counter-arguments. Lay off!

  • @Sileni Welcome to America, my friend. Dont know where youre from, but in this country we dont discourage people to speak freely or to "lay off" of someone becuase we disagree with whats being said about them. Here in America, everyone has a right to say what they please. If you disagree or agree, that fine, but dont dare try to tell me to "lay off" anyone. If you dont like free speech in America, go back to wherever youre from.

  • @thenewmike2012 That isn't so called free speech, and America isn't the only place where one can speak their mind and incase you haven't noticed this is the INTERNET not America. Also, I wasn't disagreeing with you but confronting you on why you would say something so spitful towards a person whose already known for being not just preachy but an intellectual. ...Your trying to subvert this mans honesty and just cause into a pseudo-intellectual-political rhetoric...

  • @Sileni Youre embarrassing yourself now. I am free to express my opinions, just as you are free to express yours, if you agree or disagree with me, thats fine. BUT, dont you DARE try to censor my right to free speech by telling me to "lay off" of someone. It doesnt work that way here in America, baby, try another country! Maybe you should stop looking for YouTube people to fight with, and read the US Constitution instead. We are FREE here in America...where are you from again?

  • Obama is a big disappointment for poor and working people (many of them blacks) in US, and a puppet of corporations and Wall Street. But somehow... it continues to be a socialist devil to the far right! Bill Maher said one thing true: the left has moved to the center and right has moved to a mental facility. I think grass-root movements of poor and working people are the only hope.

  • Love this man. i dont think ppl think that Obama is the fullfilment of Dr. King dream. it fact the only war he didnt declare, was on poverty.

  • @bamjungle that's a intruebstatement because brother Cornell is a positive brother u tries to see the good in people & give them the benefit of doubt. I listened to plenty of statements from brother west before obama was president & west was hopeful but clearly stated it is still something has to shown by Obama by the way action thru policy. U may not understand when he speaks but don't get it confused Cornell is on the people side!

  • Cornell is on that hindsight. Bear witness? He was with Obama before and hindsight playing sage, yeah he voted for Obama. He plays prominent blacks for his own fame. Obama showed himself to be a fake dream long before he won Pres, Cornell is supposed to say this when it counts. Instead Cornell gets to pick who we listen to after the dust settles and his first choice is always him. He speaks the truth, just very selective. He can lecture both sides of an issue and fool you that its one argument.

  • Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate that has my vote

  • I just had to say. I love that mans hair. Almost as I love his mind.

  • Obama has poor peoples blood on his hands. If he wants to go down in history as a great president he needs to to great things. Instead he is just America's first black president. And the black community, and certainly the poor, should distance themselves from embracing and voting for somebody just because their skin resembles Dr. King.

  • 1:10-1:30 What any intelligent person would have deduced about our President had they not been blinded by the truth in it.

  • He strictly titled the video wha he did, to get Obama haters to view. And what they are saying is " Well if one black man is against him, he is wrong". No the people saying that are being Biased to what all the Black people as a whole are saying. But how is truly going to get troops out without, votes from the republicans. Hes said he is a fulfillment, but not the full thing. But how MLK look at us now with this still racist, biased media in 2011.

  • @sambam2694 Give me a break, the democrats had the whole hill for 2 years; They couldn't have stopped them if they wanted to. I guess they forced him to put boots on the ground and fire on Libya, Yemen, Somalia and other places that were none of our business. Especially when he spouted on getting troops out, Peace Prize, closing Gitmo, cutting missiles (yet he's using them in Libya).

My people held out for a dream, didn't do homework or listen on character, he used them, taken for granted.

  • I've never heard Obama say he was the fulfillment of King's dream. He ran his political campaign from the center. MLK's beliefs were always left of center throughout his life except on gay marriage. King was a religious leader first, social activist second. Obama is a politician first, social activist second. The only thing they have in common is the color of their skin. Why cant West be the next MLK? Why does he want Obama to be something that he's not willing to die for?
