@109ecroyd Uh, it most likely wasn't a dream. European TV doesn't have quite the same standards as we do, and a boy skinny-dipping (even if his junk is shown) isn't viewed as necessarily indecent.

So did I and then couldn't understand why the dad called him 'son' . So I figured vicky was like pretending to be a boy so she could go on the ship and fight with her dad and they were lying to the other sailors, it was really confusing when I was young.

The early episodes in England had a lovely theme-tune, then they replaced it with this inferior European one.

I wish there were full episodes in English here; I've been watching German ones as a substitute.

yeah, I remember seeing this originally on Anglia TV around 79/80ish and it was repeated again around 1990.

I don't know if I'm imagining it, but I'd swear they completely changed the cast of voice actors for the English overdubs somewhere between the first and final episodes.

I'd love to hear a comparison.

Oh, and the wistful closing credits tune always reminded me of the TV series Heidi, I don't know why. *Rubs nose, Clicks finger*

You're right, I used to religiously watch the 1990 repeats, and I remember being dismayed when the voices suddenly changed mid series. Kind of ruined it for me, when I got used to the character voices.
