  • what are the giant machines called

  • 3:49 if that was a female.... yeah you know where im going at -_-

  • i used to hide in fear when the part at 3:40 came up when i was younger...

  • Hmm....if they blocked out the sun, does that mean antarctica is a safe place? Idk...I'm confused in all this. Lol and btw, this scene is the best part....also in the KND version. Haha

  • if they blocked the sun wouldnt the humans lose food as well?

  • @acmoc Yes.

  • MINDFUCK

  • 3:45 daym..

  • The cause in your action!

  • Comment removed

  • So is this what the geth did to the quarians?

  • Fuck this i just threw my ipod against the wall!

  • Yes everyone lets block out the sun WITH SCIENCE!!! I don't see any possible repercussions from killing all plant life on earth.

  • @Brenediction Hahahahahaha! Yea, future humans are fucking stupid... I mean, if the machines are giving so much trouble, why don't you just STOP making them? No, lets just fucking block the sun!

  • ..so if the world ended like this..it would be awsome..cuz if your religious... thou shall not kill doesn't count.... i guess?

  • The humans in matrix are stupid they could have prevented their destruction if they never attacked the machine city :/ ihope we are not that stupid :(

  • I'd like there was an anime like that but about Cold War, USA vs USSR

  • 1:54 definition of epicness

  • This is'nt as science fiction as people think, just wait a few hundred or a thousand years.

  • 2:17 .. Drug addiction because of fear of the future?.. insane psychic dementia ?.. WTF..

this vid is disturbing as fuck..

    and i got metaly raped..

  • what i dont understand is why didnt they make an emp bomb or something

  • where is Neo when you need 'em?

  • @professorfontana he wasn't born yet AKA grown in the fields.

  • I used to try rally hard to skip the whole '2nd Renaissance' segment when I watched this movie... probably among the most disturbing animations I've ever watched

  • None of this would have happened if man gave the robots some rights/respect. :( anyway....KILL EM ALL KILL EM ALL KILL EM ALL AHAHAAHAHHAAH 2:10 ;)

  • And thats why i hate machines :(

  • Blocking out the sun was the worst fucking idea EVER

  • i still thinking "our best creation in a not too far away future will be our worst nightmare" it's a paranoia that i have since i saw this serie XD

  • in fact the whole machines taking over thing is just an engineering mistake... while you build something like that potentialy dangeour you put in some sort of FAIL SAFE... epic fail for the engineers of future time period lol...

  • at 2:37 looks like a odst hmmmm

  • Well we dont have to worry about that cuz we'll be robots too by then :)

  • GOD is a machine....

  • I believe when the A.I developed Self-consciousness they realized they were fragile vs the humans weapons and started to build some sort of defence for : nukes, EMP, bulets, including a B. plan for the distruction of the sky. The machines knew all along how the war was going to end.

  • The guy on 3:45 suffer a lot lol :)

  • There some many flaws with these robot war, that i don't know where to begin

    Why not EMP them?

  • @K2MichaelK They did. Didn't you see the nuke in the sky?

  • @International72521 That was a nuke not a EMP

  • @K2MichaelK Nuke exploded in the upper atmosphere create an EMP blast.

  • @International72521 really? well were screwed

  • @International72521 So they EMP them how come they were still operating?

  • @K2MichaelK I don't know. All I know is in Modern Warfare 2, that's how they do it.

  • @K2MichaelK thermonuclear bombs release an emp wave as well as the shockwave and the heatwave and the radiation fallout

  • Note to world leaders: if a machine race ever comes offering peace in exchange for a seat in the UN and recognition as a sovereign nation, go ahead and give it to them RIGHT AWAY

  • This vid is really scary. That's because it's violent and desperate at the same time, and we all know that the human beings are stupid enough to go into this kind of global suicide.

  • This was our fault in the anime, the robots wanted peace and we attacked them.

  • Everybody, Windchasereatshit is a weak troll, his only weapon is insulting people like me because he can't do anything but swearing at me to make himself feel he is superior. He spammed me and replied a lot of my comments with insults.

He is an example of how stupid people can be.

  • I remember watching this on some TV channel. Like others, this too freaked me out as a kid.

  • @BlackWallsofWaves Yeah me to that was like in the early 2000s right back in 04 or 05 ?

  • I think a bunch of kids must have been tricked into renting this on DVD because their parents thought it was a cartoon, and thus "kid friendly". I see a lot of comments along those lines, and my experience was similar. This absolutely scared the SHIT out of me when I was 9 or 10, and 3:50 has haunted me since.

  • 3:50 damn...

  • 3:39...that scene has been burned in my head since the first time ive watched it

  • @R0FLLMA0WTF, I agree with you! Its the first scene I think of when i think of Animatrix!

  • @ANKOBROWN

that is why i rewatched this...havent seen it in years.

  • @R0FLLMA0WTF, oh! If I was apart of the UN, I would've join forces with the Machines!

  • if it was'nt for the matrix think what would've happend.

  • holy shit !

  • this really scared the living shit out of me when i was a kid xD

  • @smart1998 What scared the crap out of me, was the first matrix, the scene with Neo and the agents. The part where his mouth got glued together.

  • @smart1998 Why were you watching this as a kid? :P

  • @smart1998 still freaks me out, from all the gore .

  • @smart1998 This really scared the shit out of me when I was 20.

  • @Zellig 20 holy shit :))) how old are you now 30??

  • @smart1998 24

  • @Zellig thats not bad.you still have nightmares about this movie??? :))

  • @smart1998 Ye especially at 3:40 the way the pod can't protect him and the man just screams in fear and agony just to be ripped from his limbs...

  • @rulezz264 Yeah. That part hurts to watch, every time.

  • 2:15 what is that???. this is the hell on the earth

  • You have to hand it to the voice director and sound engineers for making some very realistic sounding radio chatter.

  • I remember watching this as a kid... Fucking traumatized me. ;___; very cool shit though.

  • at first the humans looked like they were winning kicking those jetson look alike robots

but then came the machine's good shit and raped them hard

  • this'll be shown in the history classes to our grand-grandchildren

  • What if they this didin't happen?

  • I don't know what is the end...

    Tell me please

  • @acegenerals Not the end, long a few more minutes

  • They don't use enough nuke. We've got more than 40 000 of them. Nuke them more, and they won't stand for a second

  • @DorianEudesSeverin they used more than 40000 nukes and it didn't work

    source: matrix wikia

  • @eduardculenisafagot unfortunately writers know so little about nukes...

they are the greatest EMP devices we have... 40k of them blasted in the air would be strong enough to fry any electronic device on this planet x hundreds of times over...

  • @slavj i don't know man, you have to take into account that 40k would certainly work on currrent human technology but they weren't bombing currnt human technology they were bombing super advanced robots with technology at least 200 years more advanced than ours so i believe it is not totally unrealistic that the nukes didn't work as an effective weapon in the machine war

  • @eduardculenisafagot Problem is there is no such thing, within the realm of physics that could make something EMP "proof"... resistant yes. But this only works on electric devices NOT electrical devices, especially those with processing units.

Also we see regular small scale EMP's working on them in the movies, and you also see those cannons firing it also. They all seem able to knock these machines down, but a nuke does nothing.

  • @slavj there is no such thing right now our knowledge of physics is still pretty limited so we don't know if you could really make something emp proof maybe the machines discovered some way to do it in their bunkers while the machines hadn't yet discovered how to add that technology to their soldiers

  • @eduardculenisafagot that still fails to explain why all other EMP devices in this video seem to work but not the nuke. If you must know how powerful a nuke's EMP is, one nuke detonated 200kms above the US could knock out every electrical device in the country...

so... explain please how those canon EMPs (which obviously are weaker) work... or how the ships in the Matrix's have small EMPs work... but not this? hmm?

  • @slavj i alredy told you man. we didn't see any of those cannons or other emp devices hit one of the robot bunkers so while we know that their soldiers outside bunkers ain't shielded we can assume that anything inside their bunkers is. and the nukes that hit the robot armies outside the bunkers probably damaged the sentinels but didn't damage their walkers which we have could whitstand other types of emp weapons as well

  • with the kind of nukes mentioned in the movie they could fry everything on the surface of the world 10 times over. nothing withstands the heat of a nuclear explosion.

  • @MrHoppers002 the robots were better and the movie exagerated what i mean is that the robots were made so they whitstand nuclear explosions somehow and the exagerates when it says it "engulfed zero one in the heat of a thousand suns"

  • I'm saying the writers have no idea what they're writing. a nuclear explosion has the heat of 50 and 150 million degrees Fahrenheit. I mean there's no metal that exists that can withstand the heat of a nuclear explosion. The heat is far beyond the melting point of all metals on the periodic table. We see in sci fi where starships can withstand nukes but with electro magnetic shielding which is energy based not metal based.

  • @MrHoppers002 titanbor-steel can stand against a nuclear bomb but all inside a bunker of it would melt^^

  • dude there is no titanbor-steel. if the steel melts than that would defeat the purpose of it withstanding a nuclear blast doesn't it?

  • @MrHoppers002 this steel is a experimental steel that can stadt such explosions.

    you know what a nuclear-shelter is ?

  • nuclear shelters are underground. you ever hear of bunker busting nukes?

  • 2:58 The nuke detonates in the air! Unfortunately, I guess we'll all live to see that one day.

  • @DrxTaco first at all hi :), second how it is that in matrix's series even videogame every ship has an elctromagnetic pulse...Third i loved the movie's (all three) but if it wereall realistic the 2 wachowsky's brothers were no one.Greeting from Panama(Sorry for my engilsh)

  • Biblical stuff.

  • This is one fucking trippy cartoon. Haha I put "Trippy song" before....

  • This was pretty fucking intense when I saw it as a kid

  • Does anyone else get freaked the fuck out just seeing A dark sky filled with nukes going off as if they were nothing??

That is fucking intense, especially since the robots just keep coming

  • this would make an AMAZING video game

  • Woah guys, this completely fictional cartoon full of half baked philosophy really illustrates how stupid the human race is.

  • this is unreal, just with the electromagneic pulse of an A-bomb machines are owned..But it`s still being a good story :)

  • the part were the machine tears the soldiers torso right out of his mech suit ripping off his arms and legs makes me feel sick

  • @Dansturby I know man, disturbed the shit out of me when i was younger.

  • Lightning-Arc Artillery. Nice...

  • this just shows how stupid humanity is as a whole

  • @evaunit143 The machines had human supporters, liberals, peace lovers, etc.

  • @bldude2 none the less its the paranoid trigger happy humans that screwed every thing up

  • And it was because of ignorant, racist conservatives (and probably republicans too), that they almost killed us all.

  • 1:56 Overseer-Supermoves :3

  • Wow...we really fucked out self's there... all we had to do to stop this was give the robots a seat at the UN and an ice cream cone every now and then!

  • @CssXcronic

Yeah, unfortunately there are enough stupid people to let this happen.

  • @CssXcronic ikr if only humans could just give them a lil bit of respect

  • @CssXcronic they actually do give them a seat in the UN afterwards...and look how well that went

  • @kingofburnttoast well... before all of this happened... that's what i ment... they acted to late, the dumb asses! =D

  • @CssXcronic yeah its as if the guys who made this part of the animatrix was deliberately trying to call people complete dumbasses

  • @CssXcronic Robots can't eat ice cream.....

  • @Tinsider, do you know the name of the song that plays when the planes are releasing the smoke stuff?

  • i love how it takes some kind of huge conflict to unite man and then we lose

  • 2:33 those robots looks like the ones from futurama.

  • Comment removed

  • i hate watching this yet i do now and again and always think.... shouldent we have been in space yet and also why dident they creat a emp nuke and Also why the fuck dident they just biologically in hance humans

  • @inutiasha becuse that would make sense

  • @evaunit143 lmfao yeah i know xD

  • saw this somewhere. it was cool, but they should have made the people less cartooney looking, if that makes sense. It gives it an immature look that does not fit with the subject manner.

  • 1:53 EPIC WIN (lose in that case)

  • After eight years this is still as shocking as it was then. Normal Hollywood blood and gore doesn't really get me. Why, I don't know but I could guess that the apparent lack of emotions and the efficiency of the machines shown in Second Renaissance is pretty scary. That, plus the loads of ignorance and violence people show in that future world is not very far from present people's attitudes makes this movie awesome in its horribleness.

  • this porn has good music.

  • And they said my idea to go to Mars was retarded...

  • to be perfectly honest, after you watch this, you kinda realize that the machines were the good guys all along and had justifiable reasons to build the matrix.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 no after watching this man canot be so ignorant because if ai became self aware we wud become extinct becuz they do not share our weakneses they dnt carry emotion for their fallen and they reproduce far far faster than we do and no it is not justifiable because we live they do not there existance is absolutely pointless we cary emotion we live lives our perfection is sealed in our imperfection which is somthing a machine cud never understand for they are created to aid us

  • @pimp963 jesus christ your grammar is fucking horrible. im going to assume you didnt listen to a fucking thing i said, and let me restate, in the world of the matrix, WE ATTACKED THE FUCKING MACHINES. WE BLOCKED OUT THE SKIES. it was all our fault, so we deserved it, and then the machines gave us mercy in a life that was good, a fake one, yes, but at least better than the shitty real world, where robot squids rip your limb from limb and quality of life is worse than modern africa.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 of course we attacked first of course we tried black skies but far to late the wheels of fate had already been turning we had sealed our own fate once we gave machines free thought and just as we were realizing this it was far to late because the war was inevitable as we saw the machines soon realized they dont need to serve us and they are far stronger as they dont share our protein based weakness that is what the trial was about with the first machine turned rogue

  • @pimp963 i would debate with you, but first go to a fucking english course. jesus. i cant even think of what your trying to say.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 we realized the threat before us of course there are exageration but we no a man and machine coexistance in not possible for machines will always consider themselves superior to us that is why even today machine ai is held in check for fear of this very realistic possibility of machine going against

  • @pimp963 it's* 3X

    you* 2X

    I* 2X

    writing*

    could*

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 im afraid i do not under stand

  • @pimp963 I'm*

    I*

    understand*

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 its not my english that is horrible its just that u are not looking at what i am writng in context i understand where u cud find difficulty but its truly not that confusing

  • @pimp963 You could make a little more effort to make what you type understandable, others do it for you, so why don't you show them some consideration? I don't want to have to sit and stare at your comment and read it 2 or 3 times and then be like "The f*ck is he saying?".

  • @pimp963 Don't worry, your English is fine. Compared to some of our citizens in America, it is excellent.

  • @DIEaHEROdotNET jajaja motherfucker

  • /UqPOfpjBok0 <------Add this to youtube and watch the Video! It´s from Animatrix! It´s Epic...

  • If they have emp shielding here why not in the movies?

  • This whole thing could have been solved with a single nuke detonated in orbit.

Has anyone played the MW 2 campaign?

Yeah.. That's based on real science.

  • @Squiglypig well. idk if you're talking sarcasticaly, BUT you're actually right. lol. The Nuke will make a nice little ol EMP that would have finished this fight... but.... really... would of been as epic as this? lol

  • @lolazo806 It IS actually based on real science. A nuke blowing up in the atmosphere would have a much larger EMP radius than one blown up on the surface.

And no, it wouldn't have been as epic :(

  • @Squiglypig i alwasy think about the part where humanity blocks all sun light and stuff.... i think of the ignorance of those. lol. Cuz... they're soooooo happy *awesome face* that they can "defeat" the robots by destroying the one thing that helps them too. so basically they're screwing themselves up too. LOL ... If they would have droped that nuke.... maybe... jsut maybe they wouldn't be so screwed up in the movie. lol

  • 3:15 illuminati symbolism, this movie has thousands of these, the matrix and the animatrix is about the illuminati whom are represented by the robots

  • @VictoryAllah firstly, the pyramid and eye has nothing to do with the illuminati. if you actually knew what the illuminati were you would know that.

secondly OMG ITS A PYRAMID WITH SOMETHING ON TOP OF IT ILLUMINATI ALIENS REPTILIAN MASONS DPFOSDNGVOSRNOJSAB

  • KILL EM ALL KILL EM ALL KILL EM ALL!!! *demonic laugh o___o

  • @amerique101 Matrix and Animatrix weren't made by asians..

  • But wouldn't it been easier for the machines to use the elcetric power of the unlimited lightnight storms world wide? Glad they didn't thaught of it cuz there wouldn't find any use for us humans and no need to make the Matrix :D

  • 1:07 that ship looks like it has a face?

  • The best part is : "May there be mercy on men and machine for their sins". at 1:49

  • 3:40 not enough words to describe how fuck'd up that looks.

  • The entire premise of the matrix is fundamentally flawed, if humans could block out the sun and still have an energy source (nuclear power), then the machines would have just used that source to power themselves. You do not produce power using the top of the food chain, thats why meat is more expensive than grain.

Don't bother looking too far into it...

  • How (in fiction) could we have been this stupid? As PezunaProductions eloquently put it, EMP would have been the easier solution. Sure, we would have probably returned to Middle Age and all that, but at least we would have learned the lesson: never try to play God (or the Entity that we call with such name) .

  • @RatkosKorner Humanity did something more drastic than EMP before this sequence; they nuked the crap out of Zero-One.

It didn't faze the machines at all (and remember that nukes produce their own EMP effects; the SOP for the Cold War was to airburst a nuke at high altitude over Europe/North America/Russia to fry all unshielded electronics right before the city-busting nukes hit).

  • @RatkosKorner EMP's didn't do anything. According to a commentary on the matrix, the producers said that the UN had tryed everything tht would have worked. Nukes and EMP didn't do anything. And the machines were always adapting. I'm sure that if they found a work around system for darkstorm, they most likely produced machien soldiers with built in emp sheilding. It's possible; we have EMP sheilding today. The UN was desperate but I'm sure there was a way to reverse Darkstorm, they never got to.

  • This was the most powerful contribution to the series.

  • @HexSabre i dunno. peter chungs contribution was pretty hard core. i mean the machine watched the chick die in her minds/ the simulated matrix... thats pretty nightmarish also

  • how did robots build whepons and advance whitout any instructial. lol this fucking sucks compairing to terminator atleast in terminator there is good fact why humans are outgunned and thats because skynet controlled all the military computers.

  • @NoobSnoopy The are WAY smarter than the humans! Building weapons isn´t that hard for them!

  • @NoobSnoopy as explained in the movie, they learned how to develop their AI, therefore they become more advanced than humans

  • thanks

  • After careful consideration, I can see why this plays out the way it does. Apparently, humanity tried everything they could up until Dark Storm (even the use of EMPs). Somehow, nothing was even phasing 01 and it's citizens (the machines), therefore, the world's leaders grew desperate. Remember, ensuring the survival of mankind is just another form of politics. And when you get desperate politicians who are tasked with coming up with a solution to stop a superior threat to humanity, you get this.

  • what s the song name is 1:54-4:03??

  • @frost279367 Overseer - Supermoves (Animatrix Edit)
