  • Holy cray that was so dangerous!!!

  • next time try using something other than your mom's dildo to record this.

  • looks like a seized motor to me

  • threes gran going to the shops. Wow gran look out for that bus!

  • Damn, if only I had registered my bicycle!

  • Lol wheelie

  • Sounds to me like the motor locked up.

  • he didnt miss...he went 1 2 1...hes probably got an insanely crazy STS and just didnt get 3rd. either way still a dumbass haha

  • The title should be "Why fwd drag racing is gay" instead.

  • @SlowLXNotch ALL drag racing is gay... even gay people say "yeah, drag racing is fucking gay".

It's a pissing contest for people that don't know how to go around corners, and a use a tightly wound engine as a penis substitute. Going in a straight line is boring, pointless, and requires very little skill... that's probably why only chuds and morons do it.

  • @TheRenegaderacer Only a dumb fuck like you would say that drag racing requires very little skill. From that idiotic comment alone, shows that you've never drag raced. Getting your launches right, shift points correct, throttle control, etc... all require "skills". Show us a video of you doing these things correctly before you speak out of your ass-crack the next time you try to bash drag racing.

  • @ThatDumpedAssWhiteLS I stand by my opinion. You talked a bunch of shit, trying to defend drag racing (all of which is also required for road racing) but it's still just going in a straight line, and it's still boring.

  • @TheRenegaderacer And that's all you have when it comes to drag racing, just opinions.

  • @TheRenegaderacer Sounds like someone never drag raced before or raced, period.

  • @apexdna Mostly shifter kart racing. Did Skip Barber racing school at Laguna Seca, got my SCCA license, hooned a Formula Ford around Sears Point (Infineon) for an afternoon... and yes, I've done some drag racing... it's a straight line, and it's boring.

  • @apexdna Exactly.

  • How do you miss 1st to 2nd? Just wondering.

  • ...i think you missed a gear...

  • ya man, my car can like todaly stop on a dime dude.

  • Brakes work! :D

  • too bad its a 1/4 mile comp and not an endo contest or this guy would win!

  • he went into the wrong gear thats all?

  • @ImportKid954 nah cos he was in 1st, so nothing to downshift into.. sounds like the engine cut tbh, this happened on my motorbike and the rear wheel locked.. at about 90mph.. fun! :)

  • If the car is roll out, just imagine,.....

  • The engine ceised while in gear...thats the result.

  • lol fwd and drag racing should not be in the same sentence.

  • guess we need wheelie bars in the front too

  • miss shift to bad

  • any fast car can be dangerous.

  • @imports247 except my moms corolla

  • F.Y.I any racing is dangerous lol

  • why drag racing is boring.......

  • zombiewraps, If the car throws all the weight to the back and there is no weight on the front, the spinning of the tires makes the front end bounce. Wheelie bars stop alot of the weight slamming to the back and will help keep the front wheels from bouncing so much. It's like 8th grade simple sicence, but i guess you didnt make it that far.

  • @civic0412 it still looks stoopid

  • @civic0412 i never knew why they always have wheelie bars on fwd cars lol it makes so much sense! clever clever

  • @civic0412 fuck ricers! you weenie mobile

  • @civic0412 that's why i would prefer RWD, if AWD wasnt avalable

  • The engine didnt die. The tranny broke a gear. The broken gear then followed its path and wedged its self in with all the other gears thus locking the tyres. Wheelie bars stopp it from slamming back, body kits keep the air running across the bummper to keep weight pushing down to keep traction on FWD.

  • @civic0412 Civic = FWD... no need for a wheelie bar... Real cars lift the front wheels, not power them.

  • @zombiewraps In this instance, for front wheel drive, its called a traction bar. Keeps the front planted.

  • in fwd, if the engine dies, immediately the front wheels get locked.. that's why some use "engine brake" while parking cars uphill or downhill

  • @iangameboy and if the engine dies it has to lock up to lock the tires. If you are driving a stick and the engine dies it still will turn the engine it just wont make any spark or have fuel pressure. It sounds like its running but all you are getting is compression and decompression which makes sound when the valves open.

  • @civic0412 iangameboy, you the lump 3 feet above your ass before you say something. Thats why its there, go out and take a car that happens to be a stick, if you can drive one, and shut down the engine and make sure the clutch is out and you will see that you are WRONG.

  • @iangameboy Wrong. At least for my car.

  • engine or trans died....zhe end...

  • What? Im confused a fwd driving forwad performed endo? did he slam on his brakes? some explain what happened here

  • but what ur forgetting is on the takeoff the front end will lift with more torque thus lifting the tires lowering the weight and reducing traction on the front DUMSHIT

  • @nissan7201985

Very true thats why large spoilers on FWD cars are pointless. Usually factory ones are for cosmetic purposes only.

  • haha this is the drag corolla.. i saw lots of its pic having the rear wheels in the air. nice.

  • wtf happend?

  • awd you get less power from the crank to the wheels but everything else about it is better than fwd or rwd

  • @redsrider219 not true cuz if u make enuff tourqe an AWD car can wheelstand.

  • @sedvillemo that's why they invented this little thing called a wheelie bar..and now we are back to my statement being true

  • Actually RWD cars can leave harder than most AWD cars can. If you notice AWD guys slip the clutch on the launch, with RWD just let go of the transbrake and your off to 1.30's.

  • lol only if slicks and tire width are put into play can someone do that

  • Lol well ofcourse, but its more about suspension than tire width. Look at stock classes. Theyre cutting 1.30's with a 9" slick if im not mistaken. Outlaw 10.5 is running 6.40's 6.50's with a 10.5W tire.

Its all about suspension tuning and in some casses boost management.

  • haha hardysrock is an idiot

  • to much brake preasure on the froont wheeelll

  • Not a fwd hater, just saying, why are there no top fuel funny cars running front wheel drive? Don't get me wrong, there are some impressive front wheel drive cars out there, but Ferrari, lamborghini, porsche,TVR, Saleen, seem to think rear wheel or all wheel drive is it. Even when Honda decided to build a supercar, the acura NSX, Guess what? Rear wheel drive! They never desighned the civic or accord to race. The same can be said for alot of fwd wanna racers out there. Just a thought. Peace!

  • Comment removed

  • Your thoughts are too simple. Here is a little wisdom....Not everyone likes to do the saame thing. Same reason there are many different types and classes of many different races. If people stuck with what things were built for, you wouldn't have Monster Trucks, Dragsters, Funny Car, Rock Crawlers, ect ect ect. Why put a jet engine on a car? Just a thought.

  • @mustanguy77 exactly right. and another thing is you will never see a 4 banger in nhra. its all V8's, thats why toyota built the tundra was so they could use the v8 in drag racing. honda could do the same thing but they wont.

  • @sedvillemo I'm not a 4 banger fan at all, but there are Honda Civics racing in the sport compact class using 4cyl motors.

  • wow really i havent seen any on nhra ill have to keep an eye out. im not a 4 banger fan either lol i hate the way the sound. burrAAAPPP

  • YEEE ITS THE first fwd to do a wheely !!naw but that was pretty carzy

  • total balls. with a side of fail.

  • powertrain blew and seized up.. bad day

  • What does this vid have to do with front wheel drive being dangerous?? Not knowing how to drive (like the dude in this vid) is pretty dangerous, though.

  • FWD sucks for drag racing. Yes I like getting good fuel milage out of a chevy lumina, but just for that reason, the lumina Z34 that I drive will never be a unless converted to RWD a car I'd fool with.

  • smitto21 I believe your full of crap..

  • started off in 2nd?? went into first????????? wtf...?? is that what happened??? EVEN THE ANNOUNCER WAS LAUGHING.. im a HIONDA guy, and this was FUNNY... sorry

  • FWD cars handle better in the snow :)

  • ur gay, fwd and rwd handle the same in snow. its the driver not the car...go tell that to the cops driving crown vics and chargers and see who laughs at you then. oh and did i forget to mention ur gay...

  • ur an idiot u obvi never drove in ur life just stick to ur pedel bike oh and ur gay....

  • LMAO ADAM YOUR A FUCKIN FAG, seriously that was your comeback line? lame! atleast i drive something better than having mama drive me around like in your situation.....gay

  • i dont even no y ur starting shit on youtube its just my opinion u come here crying and trying be the tough guy. just because u have a pedal bike and ur dad beats u in his tighty whiteys u dont have to come on here trying be the champ. now i'll be bak in an hour to c wat ur stupid ass wrote and plz make sumthing a little better than..... atleast i drive something better than having mama drive me around like in your situation because that my friend is just.............GaY

  • wat about the ones driving impalas

  • more weight over the wheels gives you more traction dumbshit

  • AWD is better than anything, thou.

  • thats no where near as dangerous as 99% of RWD drag cars, wen they get all squirley, they roll, any1 seen a FWD drag car roll?

  • Dumb ricer???????????

  • Your calling a pro level race car rice WOW. So i guess to fuel drag cars dont have catastrophic failure huh

  • I don't even see how this happened. Even in a FWD car, when you accelerate, the rear wheels should just be pushed into the ground. It shouldn't do an endo unless something else went wrong here. I don't think the fact that this car is FWD has anything to do with what happened here. The only way it would naturally do an endo would be if he was launching in reverse.

  • or if you have a ballsie ass honda that launches then freezes the front end.....that might do it

  • i think not, i think when he was launching, the front wheels had less or zero traction, and when he wanted to shift, the front wheels getting grip and that's made the endo did his job.

  • I ve never seen a backwards wheelie before, just goes to show these fwd, 4 cyl. are for fags, real racers lift up the front end!

  • "FWD never were ment racing and you fools who think FWD ever will be sporty just look at the new ford focus rs, all the money and time they used to develop that car, and it still went wrong."

uh, couldnt disagree more? care to explain why the RS went wrong? and why honda insist on making FWD sport hatch cars ? dont get me wrong rear wheel drive is cool but dont just wipe out FWD. if the car is well built the perfromance is incredible.

  • because they made no progress from 1996.

sporty hatchbacks are practical and fun, try getting a car that small and practical with a rwd.

  • If your implying small practical RWD cars dont exist you have over looked most of BMW stock.

Saying FWD made no progress since 1996 underlines your lack of knowledge, the industry revolves around making cars for everyday people so the technology has been pushed forward year on year. When making a performance model the 'know how' is put to the test, that's why the sport hatch dominates the market. Get your facts straight

  • FWD is a solution for the daily users car, and it was hi tech 50 years ago, because of the displacement of the engine and the gearbox it made the car more roomy and family friendly.(just look at the mini cooper) FWD never were ment racing and you fools who think FWD ever will be sporty just look at the new ford focus rs, all the money and time they used to develop that car, and it still went wrong.

  • +1

    Well said.

  • lol ive never heard anyone talk as much shit as u.the new focus rs is a complete beast with nothing wrong with it, the astra and corsa vxrs are mint, the renault megane r26r wud beat many rwd cars on track.if u think fwd will never be sporty look at the btcc-90% of the cars on grid are fwd and they are the dominators of the sport. and the mini cooper (the original rally car-not a family car lol) is one of the original sports cars cus of its amazing handling and cornering speed.get ur facts right

  • the new focus rs a beast? it got smoked by a escort cosworth in a fifth gear episode. and all the fwd cars you mentioned, shure great cars but have you ever seen a real super car with fwd?

a fwd has limit of how many hp/torque they can have on the front wheels. you mentioned the the mini cooper was a successfull racecar in both rally and british touring car.

  • rally cars and touring cars are based on factory cars so thats the reason you see alot of fwd, in touring and rally (the older days) now in the modern world 4WD has taken over rally. you maybe find a FWD in the junior league.

shure you have your facts right, but it dosent matter when you cant read them.

  • that was the old focus rs that the escort cosworth beat. the new focus rs has about 80bhp more than the old one and should take the nurburgring lap record for product fwd cars. sure u dont see any fwd supercars-as it wud be mental to put over 400bhp through the front wheels. fwd cars are generally more nimble on tight circuits, and hatches such as civic type r and clio cup are giant killers through the bends. ive seen tuned up fwd hatches beat sierra cosworths etc on the strip aswell

  • a rwd would be even more nimble with the perfect weight distribution, which you dont get in a fwd. so you agreed with me that it would be stupid to put 300+ hp in a fwd? so a fwd would never be a real racecar. and who cares about the strip? a unicycle would go fast if it had a big enough engine.

  • u dont get 50/50 weight distribution in fwd, but neither do u in awd and rarely in rwd. fwd are slightly nose heavy, but this can assist turn in cus the back can step out slightly. the focus rs has 300bhp and is controllable, and their have too many "real" front wheel drive racecars to mention. i dont care about drag racing either, but the 400bhp corsa that i was on about beat the cossie off the line and continued to pull away-showing well setup fwd can put lots of power down with no fuss

  • mmm silence the sweet sound of victory, now im going to ride my honda nsr 125(which is a rwd if you wondered:) feel free to say something stupid. while i'm away.

  • yh whatever lol. why dont u ride "ur unicycle with a big engine" aswell-which wud just fall over btw. i might go for a drive in my 125 killing corsa ;)

  • Renault clios are mid engine rwd btw

  • yh thats the v6 which they dont make anymore i was on about the renaultsport clio and the clio cup etc they r front wheel drive

  • oooh i' m from America so im not that familiar with Renault

  • yea just wait till the FWD becomes a thing of the past

i read online back a bout a year or so ago that the FWD was being phased out in favor of the RWD and AWD

@ least for american cars not sure bout inports

and think bout it back when FWD was innerduced it was for fuel ecomemy and all that jazz and now some of the RWD cars out now that r new r just as efficant if not better

and yes i am aware i miss spelled a few

  • actually fwd will always be capable of better fuel economy than rwd because fwd is about a 12% power loss from the engine to the wheels. rwd is about a 17% power loss from engine to wheels.

  • im not talking for powermaniacs im just talkin bout cars in general

yes im sure the FWD's will always be better but your not going to see as many of them around in the coming years @ lease not brand new

  • If you find it trouble to drive RWD in winter, buy 3 $5 sandbags and stuff them in the trunk. Problem fucking solved.

  • In all actuality any car can lose traction in winter. I have an 03 WRX with over 400whp and even with that much power I don't lose control in winter very often but it does occasionally happen unfortunately. But I know what you mean about the sand bags. People have proven time and time again that AWD ultimately is the best system to keep traction but you got to make due with what you got so oh well.

  • line locks hold pressure in the line when you suppress the brakes, hit the button, release the brakes. it was a good try tho. i wonder what really happened?

  • driver error

  • Wrong peddle, gas is on the right !!!!

    what happened ??? trans?

  • pff ive seen bigger nose dives

  • FWD is safer than RWD if ur racing.

    But RWD is faster.

  • why, because rwd has about a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, noses inward to oversteer, and has no tendency to understeer while fwd has a 60/40 front heavy weight distribution, no oversteer at all and will understeer you into a wall?

  • you can't generalize like that. different cars have different characteristics. a FWD car will always be safer than a RWD because FWD has a tendancy to understeer.

You get oversteer and lose it, you can go anywhere. At least with understeer you stay on your general heading.

  • fwd is safer for less skilled drivers

  • awd is better than both fwd and rwd, so quit bickering

  • Search the "Fwd vs Awd vs Rwd"

    v=jV18ZBXwwYM

    RWD wins.

  • Try racing an awd subaru sometime with a rwd car, you can dump as much money into the rwd car as you want and STILL won't be able to keep up in the corners AND you won't be able to go anywhere in the snow.

  • RWD owns those lil soobaroos in drag races. And you drive a sports car in snow? What kind of sick fuck are you? Get a truck for winter you dumbass.

  • HAHAHA are you even serious? I laugh as rwd pieces of shit are stuck in ditches as I go flying past doing 70 in 6 inches of snow.

    GTFO faggot

  • People who drive RWD in winter are mentally retarded. People who drive sports cars in winter are mentally retarted as well. I hope you have fun fucking up your engine and getting rust all over your car retard.

  • not all racing is drag racing and not everyone has rich ass parents to buy them a vehicle for every season of the year. id take AWD over RWD any day. unless we are talking old muscles then RWD wins everytime.

  • Parents? lol its called a job. You should get one. Like I said before, if you wanna fuck up you racing engine, go ahead and drive it in winter.

  • Actually I beg to differ. I can drive my subaru in the snow anytime AND I still beat a hell of alot of RWD cars. Don't get me wrong I certainly respect American Muscle I own a 69 Camaro with a blown 572 so trust me I LOVE them. BUT my WRX runs 11.5 in the 1/4 and is my daily driver I LOVE it and I wouldn't have any other street car.

  • you monster

  • yeah I know, aint it cool? LMFAO

  • not really

  • ah oh well you're entitled to your opinion just like anyone else.

  • which is exactly why its safer

  • That sucks and so embarrassing! I won't step out of the car in front of the crowd!

  • learn how to edit a video!

  • Nice stoppie!!! and the last 14 secs of the video would have done just fine. That minute of staging pissed me off.

  • Was this BOTI at New England Dragway?

  • LMAO, the tranny probably locked up. Could have happened in a RWD and caused the car to spin into the wall. That sucks.

  • either that or he hit his line lock by accident, that will definately do it too.....

  • Why the hell would a front wheel drive car have the line lock on the front wheels? Clearly a drivetrain failure.

  • why? Because do you think those 3.5" wide rear skinnies wont drag when preloading the clutch on the line?

  • my god man. yo that sucks. end it in an endo. sick.

  • LOL, wtf happend?
