RAM was a good album, nice mix of tunes. Linda does quite well considering she didnt really want to sing or perform but it was a nice touch to involve his wife and once again she makes a good job of it.
While Eating A Home is a very interesting prospect, I don't believe McCartney had any intentions of chowing down on any cottages anytime soon. Unless he wanted cottage pie. I do like a nice Cottage Pie...
In his defense it does have the wings drummer Denny Seiwell on it before there was a wings. But not Wings. sorry. Also has Hugh Mccracken on guitar. Hugh later played with John Lennon.
Like the "Let it be" single, it has Linda's voice in it yet still isn't Wings! "Ram" is a Paul and Linda McCartney album rather than a Wings album, as you can see in the credits on the disc that appears in the video at around 0:35
So next time you try to appear smart, get your facts straight :-)

It's Paul, Linda and some studio musicians from New York. Ram was recorded in NYC in the spring of 1971.
BTW, this is a very sexual song. Paul liked to use sexual innuendo in his songs; some examples include Penny Lane, Hi Hi Hi and Girls School. He was, and is, a "flaming heterosexual" and liked to work that into songs.
pretty good old rock. In that time paul was tryin to make rock in spite of all beatles legal dissolution that tune prove that paul can make xcellent tune and go on...
Ram indeed was one of the great underrated discs of all time. The photo of two beethes doin' the dirty. may have been paul's way of saying the other fabs were screwing hin
It may not be credited to WIngs, but Paul didn't do all the instruments on Ram as he did on 'McCartney'... Wikipedia says " Denny Seiwell was recruited for drums, David Spinozza and Hugh McCracken were tapped for guitar duties, and Marvin Stamm was featured on flugel horn on Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey..." (and on Long Haired Lady I believe...)
Great song, should have been included on the Wingspan CD's. They left out a lot of great songs on that 2 CD set and put some on there that they shouldn't have IMO. Of course they do that with all greatsest hits/box set compilations.
I think "Ram" holds up real well today. I mean this stuff is almost 40 years old. Just Paul and Linda, no other musicians. Pretty amazing. Still my favorite Paul album.
Good album. Not as good as the "McCartney" album, in which Paul played virtually all of the instruments for some songs that you have heard before, like "Maybe I'm Amazed."
I appreciate your response Maxedout. I am not talking about the Ram album but the Mcartney album. I wish I still had the original album cover so I could be sure lol.
Now that I look back I see where I confused your comment regarding Paul's first album and Ram. I also noticed that you are not a spring chicken. 1976 When I was in the army. I had the pleasure of attending the very first event held at the Seattle King Dome. It was Wings! I envy my sisters. They attended a Beatles concert.

I think Linda had a great voice :) I have a song by her on my ipod
She has a really unique voice- like you can tell who it is
It fits with Pauls singing and music I think- But maybe thats just the magic of love ;)

That has got to be the most Who-esque Macca solo song ever.
Of course I'll always say that "I've Got a Feeling" was the greatest song The Who never wrote.

Everyone credits all solo albums by Paul and Linda McCartney to the Wings for some reason.
