Had the Solar system moving in a plank turning way so upside turned downside in about sixty million earth years? No one on earth checked on this perphaps the Inca had found out and indicated 2012 is the critical year or milestone in this cycle.
AWESOME! It may be the end of a space journey, but it's not the end of my imagination, and not just mine, but many who love astronomy, or science in general! When I (and others who love this) look at these pictures of the Universe, our imagination fills with wonder and possibilities! I just hope I'm around long enough to where I can at least see another planet from another system or the best is to walk one of my favorite worlds in the Solar System before I die. Mine is Neptune's moon, Triton! =D
Hi, KarbineKyle. You'll get there before me. I just celebrated my 80th birthday, so I suspect I'll be gone before they start offering space shots to the public. Heh, heh.
Hashem has created a world ideal for the human being. We should be so very thankful that the sun produces warmth, light, and the conditions which sustain life, the falling of the rain, the evaporation of the water, in the right balance for life to exist. Every day I thank the Creator of the Universe. Watching this video confirms my awe of creation. Every microbe and every giant was made for its unique purpose. It is a grand symphony!
I agree wit NiGhtMarEs0nWax... while I do not think there's an earth in each solar system, there MUST be at least one somewhere else; I mean: there is our milky way)= galaxie), which has billions (if not more) of solar systems; there must be at least one where there is a planet akin earth... And if there isn't, which I seriously doubt, there are over 500 trillion galaxies, with each billions (or more) of solar systems... At least in one of those there must be an Earth...
Great vid. The Jovian moons are particularly interesting; if there's life in the Solar system thats where we'll find it. And if it's there, it's everywhere. We need to know.......
Sorry to change the subject but this is space-related.
To see a partial summary of the clear evidence that the Apollo moon missions were faked, google "The Naked Scientists". In the "New Theories" section of the forum there's a thread entitled "Did We Land on the Moon?". The summary is on page 15. It's the 7th one from the top.
Once people have seen the hoax evidence, there's nothing anyone can do to make them believe we went to the moon.
Yes, that's a true possibility and an unanswered question that has tickled fancies for generations. Maybe someday we'll find out. Let us hope our visitor are friendly. Heh, heh.
Not to be a downer, but a lot of folks look at the universe via pictures like these and hope there's life out there. However, I don't count myself among them because there's so much hell going on in this world and on so many levels, hence it would be heartbreaking beyond belief if such is going on throughout all of space and matter. No Thanks!!
well most people hope there is life out there and that these life forms are better than humans. that is the point really, the hope that there are intelligent beings who are superior to us.
Often superior beings make inferior beings their subjects of oppression.
It's infinitely better to have all life in the universe limited to earth because, as I said, the thought of meanness and cruelty we see in this world would be just too awful to imagine it's going on out there on that kind of scale. Life = hell.
Perhaps we will someday discover beings sufficiently enlightened to define superiority as compassion and consideration for the lesser creatures. Better yet, let us hope we evolve into such beings.
We can find living beings that are better than humans in a number of ways here on the Earth. What is really astonishing, and boastful, is that we reach for such a far cry.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's another comet!

If we dont figure out how to travel billions of time faster than the speed of light, we will never reach the deepest regions of space.
