it is not THE BEATLES, but the BEAT BROTHERS in Hamburg, produced of Bert Kaempfert, the Beat Brothers were: Pete Best, Ringo, John, Paul and Tony Sheridan !
The records are published later, after 1963 under the Beatles brand...But it is not the Beatles, but the Beat Brothers :-)
@Sookrates I am sorry, my friend, you are almost - but not quite right. Yes, after the lads' success, their involvement in the album was trumped up and the Beat Brothers minimalised in the blurbs. But the Beatles did have two genuine tracks all to themselves. This - and Aint She Sweet. What is still not widely known though, it is not George on the lead on My Bonny, but Sheridan. I was saddened when I found that out, but, I should have guessed years ago, the licks were beyond George then.
You can't help but feel bad for Pete Best, he really is the forgotten beatle, I met him at a beatle convention once & asked him why he was kicked out, he says he has no idea but tries not to think about it too much. It might have been jealousy being that Ringo did not looks as good as Pete. I dont hear anything wrong with Petes drumming either.
Looking at the many pics of The Beatles with Pete Best, it's pretty obvious why the other three eventually showed him the door: he stuck that Elvis/50's look after the others had left it behind.
when they came back from germany and every1 was loving the shadows they thought it was silly,,must of made this to show they could do this stuff too,,haha good job at a shadows song 2
believe it or not there were Beatles before Ringo....And as we can plainly see
a very big part of their beginning.....The song Cry For a shadow sad to say was the only John + George compo.....except for the few instrumentals....Pete got the Boot out of the BIGGEST SHOW ON EARTH....he finally cashed in on Anthology so there is in fact 3 Beatles still living today.............//o-o\\
It's a fave/winner! Excellent audio, & I love those rare photos! Check out my humble tribute version of this song along w/ "Rave On" by Buddy Holly if you get a chance. Regards, The '62 Mathew St. Band (1 Man-Full Group Retro)
i really like the feel of this and some other hamnburg tracks, probably as much as any other period. the band kicked ass and pete did a real good job at these sessions. did they have three guitars going on these songs? this song was at one time released in france under tony sheridan's name.
Hi, those are legend pictures!, I hope you can get much more from their HAMBURG PERIOD cuz that was the time when they were performancig in hall dances and night clubs in Hamburg and Liverpool, en realidad, me hubiera gustado muchisimo haberlos oido tocar en vivo en esa etapa cuando aun no habian conocido a Brian Epstein; yo considero esa etapa como mitológica, muchas gracias por subir este video y por las fotos que estan de película, sinceramente muchas gracias
i have to say, i'm a HUGE beates fan, and you're right. those are some rare photos. ive only seen maybe 3 of them and ive seen hundreds of their pictures.
george must have been like 14- I think he was born in like 43. Crazy the magic. Already
you can feel the tight band. Thanks for the pics

So sad both writters of song are gone - John and George.
I still cry for their shadows - they helped make a better world!
