a political party has to be disgustingly bad for us to even consider bringing the gop back. sadly, the system is so rigged right now we have very little choice than one ruling party or the other, the corrupt or the more corrupt, the crony capitalist or the greater crony capitalist, the irresponsible or the more irresponsible. trillions and trillions of dollars being funneled to preferred friends, family, and lobbyists and nothing to show for it. if they were in private life, they'd be arrested.

armey actually did a very good job of making the case why american is in such serious trouble, two political parties who have consolidated more and more power, becoming an almost defacto ruling class overlording the american people with crumbs while enriching friends, family, preferred lobbyists and other insiders using trillions of dollars from our kids future. it's time to drain the swamp. quit filtering our free, competitive economy through the dc sewer. our current results are predictable.

dick armey is probably the best of the bunch who stayed too long in dc. the best of times that we had in this country was after the gop revolution in 94 when bill clinton jumped in front of the gop parade and abandoned big programs, declaring that "the era of big government is over". it was the closest thing to responsible government in a long time. it didn't last long. gop leadership became corrupt and irresponsible, obama/pelosi/reid crony capitalism is much worse, taking us over the cliff.

Bush increased the debt far more than Obama. Bush inherited a record surplus and turned into a massive debt.

Bush's tax cuts and two unfunded wars (one of which wasn't necessary), his Medicare corporate welfare boondoggle and bailouts (which Bush started) all created huge holes in the federal budget.

@eatmorenachos they protested bush through their vote in 2006 when they fired the gop congress and 2008 when they fired the gop presidency. we weren't thrilled with electing the dems but had no idea they would misread their victory as a mandate to triple down on debt, add huge new entitlement programs, demonize job creators, and pass huge new impediments to job creation. obama's debt is already close to surpassing bush in less than 2 years. we're going over a cliff with these arrogant fools.

@eatmorenachos obama talked of new 21st century infrastructure, not trillions in political payback, he said his advisors were warren buffet and other mainstream business experts, instead we get fed takeover, demonization of business, and a 2500 pages of new regulations that will take years to unravel. health care was to be voluntary, instead we get overarching mandates, another 2500 page law and a huge new irs arm to enforce it. we voted an inexperienced unknown to help bring the black community

we voted for obama to help bring the black community into the mainstream, instead those who oppose obama or his agenda are called racists, he makes a specific and divisive call for hispanics and blacks to come out for him. he took several vacations, golf outings and concerts during the gulf disaster instead of taking charge of the gulf oil spill. but you are right. he has also promised to necessarily drive utility prices through the roof. yet his election was insured because the gop sucks too.

1. Bush spent literally one-third of his time in office on vacation--and a full month off at a time of war.

2. "we" didn't vote for Obama to bring blacks "into the mainstream." I voted for him because he was the better candidate. I know many Republicans who cast their first ever vote for a Democrat because they thought Palin was a scary joke. Some were McCain fans until he chose Palin.

3. Not all of Obama's opponents are racists--but the ones carrying racist signs certainly are.

@eatmorenachos you don't get it. we fired bush and the gop. many voted for obama to get past the race issue. the black community continues to be on strike against 'anything white' to some degree. it has hurt the black community and the nation. anyone who opposes obama is called a racist whether they carry a sign or not, including hillary supporters. this has been the most divisive presidency in recent history. obama is a better candidate for marxists and cuban results than the american dream.
