Not a fan of the new Ad Aware, sticking with spyware blaster to immunize, avg anti virus & anti spyware (on demand scanning only) and a squared free edition. All use little to no resources and good protection along with common sense online.
"w w w . download . c o m/ Ad-Aware-2007/3000-8022_4-10045910.h tm l?ta g=ls t-2" just paste it, then copy it, then remove ALL spaces. Theres no spaces.
THis Program is Better than all vista security It Found 139 Infections LOL I download Lots of stuff so Maybe they had Viruses :P Norton SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the new ad aware SUCKS!! sorry but it's the truth for me.. i used it, scanned a couple of times did well, but after that it DID NOT DETECTED ANYTHING AT ALL. it is sooo SLOW. sorry i kick it from my pc and got an older version.
Ad-Aware rocks. People say "Well, it only deletes cookies", well duh, don't you know what cookies are? Some cookies leave certain (Not many) web owners a way to view your personal files and documents. Ad-Aware also destroys potential hi-jackers. So Ad-Aware 2007 is a great tool, it's in my top 5 of protection.
I did a scan on Ad-Aware 07 and then deleted the files that detected and removed them all..after that, the pictures i uploaded on myspace and when i look at my display pic, it looks smeared and my eye looks weird. Do u think this affected it or no? Anyone help!!
so what, you make vids about computers and answering questions people have about computers or something? that would be awesome, if thats the case please let me know and ill subscribe to you. but also, has ad aware se been cancelled or something? on their site, i could only find the 2007 junk to download for an update, and se hasnt given me any updated in a long while, so i downloaded 2007, but dam...i miss my se, i want se back, please tell me its still supported :(
I have the same question, my guess is no, not sure though. I run 4 scans at a time every week, and my computer is in tip top condition, so I'd say no, based on my knowledge.
I would not advise you to run 4 scans at the same time. A friend of mine ran 2 scans at the same time (ran two different programs, each running a scan at the same time) and killed his hard drive. It is best to do one scan at a time.
No, it is not bad to have Ad-aware and an anti-virus program running on the same system since ad-aware is an anti-spyware/malware program.
However, you can not have two anti-virus programs running on the same system (eg. Avast and Norton should not both be running on the same system). They will conflict.
i DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THIS SOFTWARE BECAUSE ACCORDING MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION AND EXPERENCE SPYBOD CONTAINS 2 DIFFERENT TIPES OF VIRUS ,ONE OF THEM IS SECURITY VIRUS
ok i have a question i got done scanning and i had 79 infected items and those were my tracking cookies so those aint spyware but in the privacy part what does mru objects mean?
MRU = most recently used objects list. Basically these objects include recently opened, saved and downloaded documents. Though harmless in essence, you don't want these objects to accumulate over time
recently after scanning i have been getting a message saying "unable to remove, will remove after computer restart". This has been happening more recently and often but it never used to happen at all. Should I try another product? or does restarting the computer take care of everything
it depends. If it's a running process, try booting into safe mode after the restart (hit F8) right before the first Windows XP splash screen and choose "safe mode" and run another full scan
i have this and its really good but....how much does pro cost????
and is it good and safe???

I found 2007 terrible, and all those "must upgrade to pro" features that take up space.
Unfortunately, I've read that Lavasoft stopped support for SE, so I guess I have to find an alternative, since I'm not getting 2007.
Webins 4 years ago
no, im sure they still do support se because i still use it and i get updates frequently.

You need to update manually from their website now. (Only for Ad-aware SE)

I get this message when running windows Vista, to solve this:
Right click on ad-aware, and click run as administrator (type in your pass if needed)
then just run your scan again and it will be able to remove all the files.

I'm not sure...are you getting any error messages? Do your current administrator/user privileges allow you to install programs on your system?
